  1. To add to the excellent information already provided, there are other security systems available on the market place, but using the Linden one ensures that it is configured correctly per Linden Homes covenant. Additional details including an explanation of why the settings are what they are can be found here:
  2. I do not think we do, or at least I don't. Log Homes already support custom colors, so the need to update them isn't as pressing as it was for the Traditionals and House Boats. I do know that a lot of people would love to see some new Log Home models, so I guess time will tell.
  3. You are likely aware, but this reads as though you aren't, so it's worth mentioning that the new houseboat models are in all houseboat controllers, new and old alike.
  4. The roof snow for the various homes has the same issue. I also ended up just manually placing it. I really wish they would consolidate all of the content creation packs into one. I'd much rather have a pack that includes things I don't need or want than to have to hop around to different themes to make sure I have the latest and greatest of everything. And from the mole perspective, it has to be a chore to update a bunch of different packs anytime something needs updating.
  5. While I don't personally find the new designs charming enough to change from my Evening Star, I can see the appeal, especially for those who have been struggling to find an OW Stilt. It has been well established that a large number of Linden Home owners prefer being on or very near the water. And while the original houseboats are still very much in demand, this may make them more palatable for those who prefer a more standard home theme, but still want immediate access to water. I guess you can have it both ways.
  6. If you are a user of animations, learning how to create or at least modify a pose menu is an invaluable skill. It is tedious work, but if you are passing up furniture that you otherwise love, learning how to change the animations may be worth your time. I learned AVsitter years ago, and it still serves me well. It has been free for some time, and there are many really good tutorials online. You don't need to master it. You only need to learn a few basics to be able to do what most of you want. Many designers frustratingly lock down the pose menu notecard, but if the furniture itself is mod, you can always replace it with your own. Happy posing.
  7. I agree. Thankfully, people are different and do not all prioritize the same things. Also, sometimes you can't see a home's potential until you decorate it. Few homes look spectacular when sitting on an empty parcel.
  8. It doesn't appear that they updated the Content Creation Pack. The snow cap scripts no longer work with any house model, though that likely wouldn't be a high priority fix. Maybe they will update it and include some doors, which they have always included with open floor plan themes.
  9. I agree on the textures, but what bothers me even more are the unfinished roof edges. It's why I ultimately abandoned mine. I'm holding one for now, waiting to see what changes they make, but if they are all interior enhancements, I will probably toss it.
  10. I've said it before, and I'm sure I will say it again, but I personally enjoy the challenge that the LI limit presents. Anyone can buy a bunch of décor from their favorite designers and fill up a house when there is no limit. Having limits spurs my creativity and causes me to evaluate combinations of items that I otherwise wouldn't have considered, often for the better. Would I like to see what I could do if I had no limit and money were no object? Of course, but I that's not very likely. I'll add that the LI limits exist for a reason, several reasons in fact. It amuses me when people think that the moles/Lindens could just waive a magic wand and increase the limits without consequences if they wanted.
  11. One quick sanity check, make sure you are checking the control panel with the avatar that owns the parcel, and not one for which you have granted access. Only the owner has the Access option. I make the mistake of thinking I am the owner of a parcel all the time. It's one of the perils of having multiple premium accounts. I am the owner of the Newbrooke below, but have been granted access for the Houseboat.
  12. I have not read or heard anything that indicates that they are intentionally keeping homes out of the Linden Home queue to service Premium Plus accounts. Unless something has recently changed. All homes that are released for occupancy are available to the queue and to Premium Plus Concierge Service simultaneously. The issue with Newbrooke 1024s was clearly a glitch that has thankfully been resolved.
  13. You definitely aren't the only person. I am ever hopeful that at some point, I will be able to travel from my houseboat at Point A to my stilt home at Point B without having to go the long way around or change vehicles.
  14. Visitors are always welcome. I have not been in world much over the past several months, but I'm sure you'll catch me at the boat eventually.
  15. I made it. It's an inner and outer shell in one.
  16. That is very kind of you. Thank you very much.
  17. I can throw a rock and hit Nando's boat from mine, but I only do that when he's not home. I haven't changed it much in well over a year, but it's still one of my favorite builds.
  18. You can give access rights to the inside house controller, but not to the outside house selector or the parcel settings.
  19. I'm pretty sure the chiminea on the wood deck is the biggest concern. It will likely catch the whole place on fire long before an earthquake hits.
  20. I think the setting for Stilt Homes is generally really nice if you find a good spot, but agree with the landscaping. Like most mole creations, the trees, grasses, and other plants are well made, but some interesting choices were made regarding the textures. Simply using a texture with more blue and less yellow for the foliage would have made a huge difference in how the environment feels. It would have been a deal breaker with any other theme, but the homes are so well done, I simply can't leave mine. I have the opposite issue with the Victorians. The landscaping is arguably the best in Bellisseria. Unfortunately, the homes simply aren't my cup of Earl Grey. If the Traditional Homes had the polish and features of the newer themes, I would have likely kept mine. I'm just way too picky about things that likely don't bother most people. I'm just grateful for all the choices, and love the challenge of decorating on a LI budget.
