  1. You know, I always wondered if there was a connection between the 549 badge he wore and Junior Sample Sales phone number BR 549. Peeve: Never knowing the answer to some of the questions movies and tv series produce.
  2. Some of the boys used to bring them to class and tether them to their desk with a thumbtack. It took the teacher almost the whole class to figure out where the noise was coming from and find the Junebug. They never really got into trouble for it. Teach had a hard time wiping the grin off her face. She wasn't quite fast enough. 🤭
  3. Better than being stuck behind a gravel truck. Only time I wear full face is winter. Got hit in the face with a small rock. Stung like hell but couldn't stop since everyone else in the group started passing the truck. You either grin and bear it or die from it. Yes, we were on an interstate highway.
  4. I think they tried to cancel me once or twice (whoever they is/are) but I just ignored it and went on with my life. To this day I don't know if they succeeded or not. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  5. SL started out as a creative platform, in more ways than the one Philip later opened to the public as a creative platform for the masses. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Creativity without an audience is everything creative I do these days. In RL and SL. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I do kind of miss setting up a booth and selling my creations but it's a lot of hard work for little to no ROI.
  6. Good luck. I mean that sincerely. That's a long, steep, uphill battle you've chosen for yourselves. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be Sisyphean. Lots of research has already been done.
  7. Is it really a resurgence of interest in SL or just an interest in getting through college? People are jumping to all kinds of conclusions about my meaning and every single one of them is so far off the track it's not funny. As much as I have hated being stuck as an observer of humanity my whole life, I've recently come to the conclusion that I wouldn't want to have it any other way. No matter what happens I will not complicate my life any more than it already is. It's not worth the loses.
  8. For me, college ended long before 2000 when home computers were still too expensive for most people and laptops (first one was 1985) didn't exist yet. Things may have changed since then, but nothing can replace a hardcopy. The frequency of these requests is increasing. That is not a good thing imo because we don't know what kind of impact these things are having on those who do actually read them. I'm not interested in further skewing an already distorted view of SL.
  9. I was always under the impression a thesis was either handwritten or type written on paper. Thus, the use of the term "paper" and not "term paper".
