  1. Agreed, unless the child is of an age where such features would develop, there shouldn't be anything about the chest inherently inappropriate.
  2. Yes, correct. That is what I had in mind, though I wouldn't know what avatar they use most, in my case, it's probably LaraX and my Dinkie cat, but I use my TD Kid a fair amount, although probably not much now till I see where all this ends up, for someone else it could different. But yes, that is what I meant. I only know about Starries's RLV hud for child avis but with them you have to whitelist first and have a tp set as an option, so with that system I would hope that if something like that ever happened the child would remove said person from their whitelist.
  3. For me I don't engage in adult activities and steer clear of adult rated places save some shops/events [which I switch to an adult or invisible avatar for anyway] so I don't have to worry as much. For those that do though, I imagine this is a nightmare to add to the list, of if they look old enough.
  4. For someone who's account is strictly a child avatar, it probably rarely would need to be touched. But if you switch between multiple avatars, as many accounts do, then you might visit a child store in a general region one moment, then later in the day switch to a Lara or Legacy to visit a store that sells clothing for that body, quite a handful of of stores that sell clothing for adult avatars are in adult regions, so in those cases it could be easy to forget, especially if you weren't used to needing doing that before.
  5. No, kids hud allow TP too, but you do have a white list [and with Starries at least you do have to whitelist first, they can't just take you], so hopefully your not giving to just anyone one, as well as removing it if someone shows they can't be trusted.
  6. Many huds that let parents pick up their kids or walk them in strollers and give snacks/drinks, like Starries use RLV to do this.
  7. I'm assuming any stores that have child stuff will need to relocate. But you make a great point, because many accounts also use more then one avatar. I go between several including LaraX, TD Kid, TWI Wolf, Dinkie Kitty, just to name a few, so that's a ton of toggling. I do wonder if HUDs like Starries will implement something for this though.
  8. This is actually a great question, I would like LL to answer, how do they police this? Especially since those who skirt the line are the ones who engage in inappropriate behavior the most. Yes, how do they handle that iffy age range? I would like to know too. 100% This! ^ My understanding based off reading, is it's on the body creator, not the skin creator, since they mention child avatar makers and state it can not be removed, no idea how that'll be implemented yet.
  9. Many accounts switch between multiple bodies, so I don't think that's reasonable. I think it's a good thing, a child avatar does not need to be nude anyway, I've been using TD Kid as one of the bodies I switch between for years, I have no issue with a coverup enforced. I agree with this, and I wish it would be made so clothing can't be derendered. If that is something that could be done it would be great. ^This! There really is no "teen body" if you were trying to present above the age of 12-13, Tweeniedoo and Tweenster don't do as well above those ages. Hence while a petite body is popular for 13+. And it would be impossible to enforce someone to strictly use a body for any given age range, especially the closer you get to an adult age [has as been show a few times in this thread], how could it be determined? Some one already covered it [Persephone I think?], But the connotation with the word Lolita as something inappropriate comes from the 1955 book Lolita by Russian-American novelist Vladimir Nabokov. It still causes controversy to this day according to my understanding. Pair that with the fact that most people in America, unless they are interested in or knowledgeable about the Japanese fashion culture have no idea what it entails when they hear Lolita in reference to the fashion. I will note though unrelated, I love the Lolita fashion style! But, also I don't engage in adult activities on any of my avatars adult or child, so haven't had to worry what anyone thought. I don't know about teen age, but there are tons of active skin creators for child avis, Flying Bunny, AK, Pity Party, TD themselves, just to name a few. I know Bit at TD is already aware of and trying to figure out the best way to comply with this. I think the idea is the layer should not be able to be taken off, so it becomes impossible to show as nude. I have no issue with this. What I would like LL to clarify, is what defines covered. is simply underwear over the groin area sufficient? Or does it need to cover more? I would think just adding underwear would still work with most clothing for the active bodies out there. If this has been mentioned I must have missed it. I don't really see an issue with the first dress [at least the dress in and of it's self, the anime part is a whole other can of worms that I have mixed feelings on]. On a child that would fit in nicely in Victorian sims. I don't think the second needs to exist in SL, while it may be normal in real life, I can't think of a single situation where this needs to be RPed in SL, given the nature of SL, there are plenty of other pre teen things that can be RPed instead that wouldn't tow the line. Sorry to say, but when you buy any avatar especially one that is/becomes unsupported, this is the risk you run. Just like adults had to put up with Slink leaving, and Kalhene Analexa users had to. LL can't plan around broken/unsupported content, in fact I think trying to do so is one thing that has held them back in past endeavors in other areas. My understanding is it's not BoM, and only the creator can make skins, so there is no way of meeting the compliance. Bit Bloom of Toddleedoo is currently aware of and trying to figure out how to comply with this [while breaking as little content as possible] It's actually what lead me to check forums, she mentioned it in Discord.
  10. My sister plays, but also works and is currently studying for a degree, so she's not in would much except during vacations.
  11. You both make good points I didn't think of. I guess what I'm really trying to think of is some better way to categorize things maybe? I'm not sure. I haven't really figured out a great way to implement such a search as I had described above given all the places in SL, I just know it isn't always easy to find the type of community in SL your looking for. Probably for a variety of reasons [still have not found a really nice rustic like, English or cottage style public garden to hang out in, yet I feel this must exist somewhere].
  12. It's hard to predict what someone will want by the time their old enough to be in SL, but some things I think would help, not just with this, but in General include; 1. Something that explains the UI on character creation, I assume this doesn't exist and someone can correct me if I'm wrong. But a simple tutorial describing the main features of how the UI works and things like how to move, how to make an outfit, etc. While I'm in the SL is not a game camp, with the complicated UI SL has, it could learn a lot from gaming tutorials in this regard. It should be with the character creation, mandatory [not the biggest fan of forced tutorials by any means, but to many do not pay attention otherwise and then they wonder how to make a basic outfit or the like], and cover the basics, long enough to orient the user with controls/basic features, but not so long it gets tedious. I realize not an easy balance to strike maybe at first, but could be adjusted as needed. 2. Immersion, just because SL is not a game, doesn't mean SL couldn't lean into some of the aspects, something that probably will appeal at least in part to Gen A. I'm not even talking graphics or anything like that [though with some that might make a difference too]. But like, I've seen some amazing haunted houses, Christmas displays, escape rooms, tours, etc. A lot of that is user generated, but LL could do more of this too, this could actually attract a lot of people who don't know what to do. 3. Access to what is out there. Whatever someone's interest does little good if no one can find it. There has been effort to try and help with this, but not enough in my opinion, we need a better way to search for different activities of varying interests, and one that doesn't "pick and choose" what gets added like the Destination Guide feels like it does. 4 [maybe?]. Platform options, SL is already working on this. I would not be surprised if more from Gen A gravitated more to mobile. Though this one I'm less sure on, because I somewhat think regardless of generation, I'm beginning to think most people in general when it comes to something like this, care less then you think about a mobile platform. Think about it, who really wants to try and dress their avatar, adjust that little hat in place, or try to move in a crowded space on a tiny mobile device over a big screen? I think that's large in part why we don't see VR everywhere yet, who want to try and do that in VR? [Don't even get me started on motion sickness]. Most YouTubers that this Gen would be watching aren't playing mobile games, that have gaming desktops, and if one of them ever did decide to take on SL [I doubt it, just do to the reputation for some content creators], I'm fairy sure they would be on a desktop. Which could make a huge difference as to the platform they would choose for SL. If I think of anything else later I'll try to add it, but this is what I thought of at the moment.
  13. I have folders designated for every category I can think of [base folders with sub and sub sub, and even sub sub sub categories to sort my stuff], and I store backup boxes in prims at around 500-700 per prim. My biggest fault when trying to coral my inventory is the thought of "what if I find a use for this later?". Sometimes I actually have [never thought I find a use for teapot avi, but load and behold a theme dance provided an opportunity], which doesn't help with the hording problem, lol.
  14. Fortunately that is the only experience like that I've had like that on the MP, plus one inworld, so just two, the vast majority of creators I've interacted with have been excellent.
  15. Agreed, and in hind sight I probably should have. I usually do, but at the time I didn't realize that the texture in the table being no copy wasn't intended since I'm come across it before intentionally [till I got the IM]. So it didn't really occur to me in the moment that it was something to contact her over. The table it's self was as advertised. But I do agree I should have done so. But I do wish she could have expressed herself in a nicer way instead of screaming at me and calling my own products "the ugliest around", which to be fair, I'm just starting, so I'm well aware I'm no top of the line designer, but the interaction was enough to stop me from shopping at her store again.
  16. Maze has updated the soft thighs to LaraX; https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/MAZE-Soft-Thighs-eBody-Reborn-Kupra-Legacy/23580875 If you have them I think you can just redeliver.
  17. Most of my MP purchases have been great, but I did run into a creator once who was quite rude, I had left a review [which wasn't even that bad, 3 star if I remember right], stating how the product was nice, but the texture for the table [which was inside the table for some reason] was no copy, and I wasn't even rude here, just stated what I found on receiving said product. She came back a bit later and just chewed me out for not contacting her first since the texture being no copy was a mistake [and I mean like full on insulting me and being flat out rude], I told her I had a right to leave the review I felt fit [ after being completely screamed at, without even one attempt to calmly explain herself or try to be nice, hostile right from the beginning]. Now I would have changed that review to state is was a mistake, even though the way she treated me didn't exactly motivate to, but she didn't even give me a chance to, deleting said product before I could even try to. So, while most creators I've bought from have been quite pleasant when I've interacted with them, there are some not so nice ones out there. As for threatening to report, I've never had anyone try to threaten me on the MP, but unless the review violated something, I can't imagine getting banned over it. I do agree that unless something violated something in the ToS [and I don't know what all your partner put in her review to judge one way or the other], negative reviews should not be removed, I have no idea on the legality of it though, and Googling provided mixed messages [which is sad but doesn't surprise me].
  18. Right so your bad experiences mean everything in that category must be bad, if your encounter this so often, I'd start thinking about what your doing to attract it. With your sunny personality, I can't imagine anyone wanting to get back you.... >.>
  19. I don't like those either, I had to put up with a parcel behind my house [that is thank goodness gone now], their activities were out of the way, so if it had just been a nudest colony it would be fine, but then in their charter they had to put "family friendly, kids ok", and I'm just like, nope!
  20. I'm quite aware, that does not mean such a depiction is right, it is still a form of an inappropriate act showing a child, that fact that the child is not a child behind the screen does not change the depiction going on. I shouldn't even have to explain that, and the fact I do is extremely sad.
  21. I agree with this, by like age 3-4 ish on average, most children communicate quite well and are fairly easily understood.
  22. You seem to forget that adults will try to engage those avatars too, contrary to your imaginary belief, just because a child avatar is involved does not always mean the child avatar is at fault anymore that the adult is always at fault.
  23. Agreed, but it's the attitude that somehow these bans on depict such actives should not have occurred that ticks me off. I know someone who was assaulted, I have nieces and nephews that before they were adopted by my relatives were abused in such a way, one by their own father, so this is a hill I will stand my ground on.
  24. Right, cause the children are the problem, and not your perverted attitude. Say that way if it makes you feel better, but remember what you are when you look in the mirror and remember that those "Arrogant Fake Child Anti-Adult-Activities" Happen to real children and that fact that you seem to be implying such things should go on, makes you no better then those low lifes who do such things to children.
  25. It's called depicting a child in an impropriate situation, and thank you for letting me know your a perverted psychopath too.
