  1. In my SL home, I usually replace it with some kind of decor piece till the next holiday, then I put up another holiday themed piece, which next for me will be somthing for Valentine's day. You could also do something seasonal too for winter till next time to change.
  2. This is one of my favorite sets that I'm always coming to, it's 50L$ and so many types included, it also has a demo, so you can test them first. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/friday-BOM-Tees-Collection/19664683
  3. I can only speak for what would make me invest in a body; Which is price, availability, design, and support. My first mesh body was Altamura, and while not bad by any means, wasn't something that ever really seemed to stick long term for me, this was just a bit before BoM came on, and I hated appliers, having spend several months prior to getting it using a system avatar. So I was so glad when they added a BoM hud. But I also hated the huge amount of script usage and complexity After that I ended up going to LucyBody, also very nice, but like Altamura never really felt right and I hated the Maitreya clothing/slink shoe combo (this was before LucyBody got that update. Then I went to Kalhene with their free test body Ariadna, and then over to their full Anya body once it was release. Everything was amazing at first, then came Erika, and she started to package her Anya body with her Transgender body Alexa into the new all in one Analexa, which was fine, I was good with that, but then she stopped updating with empty promises of Analexa getting Erika's updates. I even politely messaged asking if it would be updated, she assured me that it would receive them in a few days, it didn't days, weeks months, went by, and she became incredibly hostile to anyone asking about it [She had formerly be quite nice to talk with and get questions answered and I had loved how she handled support]. After nearly 6 months of this run around I finely told others to be careful, because it could easily start to reflect on Erika down the line. I was met with the "Rude responses of the Kalhene cult chat telling me I didn't know what it took to make a body and it would come in time and Analexa would get it's updates when she could get them (it didn't). I left the group and began demoing other bodies, Then a few hours after leaving said group got a nasty im from the creator alone with the supposed rubbing in my face that Analexa would receive updates that week, for simply pointing out what she had promised and failed to deliver half a year prior. Needless to say I went from being a hardcore supporter of Kalhene [had she not done all that, I'd honestly probably still be using it, as I had being a major fan and supporter of Anya/Analexa], to completely disillusioned. So I ended up going with Maitreya since that was my whole inventory [since Anya/Analexa had fit Maitreya like a glove], and because I liked the over look of the body still, compaired to the others I had demoed. I've not looked back. I still miss how good the customer support was back before Erika came into play, cause no other place has had that same level of support that Kalhene once had, but over all have been far happiest with Maitreya, and have been loving their LaraX body. So yeah, tldr; body design, support both clothing and customer wise and price [I didn't even glace over to Legacy, GenX or Reborn after seeing the price] are the things that motivate me to keep/drop a body.
  4. I'm glad it helped! For some odd reason, I can't edit my posts, but wanted to mention, that @BB@ does indeed have an inworld store, I just found their Christmas advent the other day! They use to use Bohemian Baby for their kids stuff, but their using the name Bohemian Beauty now; http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Aurora%20Field/177/244/3003
  5. Thank you for mentioning those! I love boots like that and was missing a good pair for LaraX!
  6. Lelutka has two unisex heads with both male/female neck fits, River and Zo. Maybe one of those might work?
  7. It basically layers from bottom to top with BoM, so you would go in order starting with the items that should be at the bottom [skin], and working your way up to what should be seen at the top layer [often makeup].
  8. Spotted this at Uber (there is a lot of LaraX stuff at Uber!);
  9. I know when I swap in to kid form, I tend to get a bit of a line on Toddleedoo kid at the neck that I've pretty much just learned to ignore cause I love the body, despite a bunch of troubleshooting including CSRs I've not been able to get the neck smooth, like on say my Maitreya, I can't remember if Tweeneedo has the same issue or not, since I'm usually shifting to around age 4, I mostly use the kid body, but I'll check when I get inworld on Tweeneedoo, since I do own it. I can see what I can find for Tweenster too in terms of clothing support, since I own that one too, I think Eddy did a great job of explaining the heads/skins, all I can think of off hand are Baby Bug's Boutique and Kinderstrudle, who do both Tweeneedoo and tweenster in some of their clothing, but I know their are more stores. Edit; Got inworld, and yes, I still see the line even with Tweeneedoo, so that's something to be aware of; here's with Nams Optimal skin and prim windlight; https://gyazo.com/3ddfb5fe8842b1b56516ca99ba78023e For clothing here's what clothing stores I found in my inventory for each body, this isn't an extensive list, as there are way more stores then this, this is just what I have so far, there will be some overlap in the stores too, since several rig for both bodies. Some events to watch to find more stores/items would be; Woodland Kids, Roselline, Thimble, Toddleedoo does some events (they just did a Toddleeween and also had a Valentine's Day and Easter Egg hunt this year, those are free to do). Many stores do weekly sales, and Nuggets is a good community to hang out in. -------------------- As for clothing, other makers I found that offer some clothing for Tweeneedoo; :Papaya: Ethyn's Burgers *Little Attitudez* . tiptoes @BB@ (Bohemian Baby, not sure they still have an inworld store or not) The Popcorn Tree Lovey *-* Royal Pain *-* Lost Girl Creations Flaminko TRU Lil Big Me Sweet Potatoes Moon and Back Boutique *Baybee Boutique* Sew Little Little Mysteries Happi Baby Wyld Panda .Tippy.Tap. 10. Tweeneedoo is only at the in world store; http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/ToddleeDoo/106/162/23 Bad Seed's Bebe Youth is here; https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Bebe-Youth-Bodies/21745068
  11. Some stuff for Lara does fit too with some alpha'ing, as long as it covers the main clipping areas [upper arm, upper thigh, pelvis, and with super tight tops, you have to watch the back of the upper shoulder blades too. I've had pretty good luck with a lot of sweater dresses, and high waist pants. I found a few things from the MP basics line of Baby Monkey that fit pretty well with the alpha [I keep meaning to look in my inventory and post which ones]. I've also had a huge luck with the bulk of my stuff from S@bbia fitting, being able to wear about 90-95% of the outfits I have from there, since most of it is modest, loose fitting clothing and she always includes an alpha layer too, so I usually don't have to alpha from the hud. Edit; Okay, got in world and grabbed all the items from Baby Monkey I demo'ed and was able to get to work with LaraX, most of them don't have an alpha, so the hud alpha will be needed. These all came from the MP, almost all were from the basics line were 10L each and all have demos available to test with [actually all her items have demos from what I could tell] and come with quite the color hud, plus an extra color hud [a couple of them even had two huds extra!] is available for the vast majority of them for free. I have no idea if the shape makes a difference, but I know that I was able to get them to work when I tested. This is not an extensive list ether, as I only grabbed the things I was interested in, so they may have more that could work too. 12. The body shouldn't affect the hairbase, so the first thing I would check is the layer order and make sure the hairbase is on top. The wrench icon in the appearance tab will show you the layer order, skin should always be on the bottom for most skin makers.
  13. If I recall right, you have to activate the gestures in the pack, I'm not in world at the moment though to remember which ones.
  14. Caboodle has some Christmas lights for the thigh that were updated to LaraX, they are currently on Saturday Sale. If you already own them you can just grab a redelivery. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Caboodle/55/144/26
  15. I kind of rushed through it a bit, let me try to organize it up; On finding an item with a v5 script, I edit while wearing to check it. I just click show all on the alpha hide, then select the alphas I need from the hud. Then while wearing the item type the /95 part of item name menu [just one part of the word seemed to bring it up fine, so for COCO's pants I just did /95 COCO menu , and it brought up the pop up menu for me. Then click get alpha, which records whatever alphas you hid/showed in the hud. Then I clicked finalize in the popup, no idea if that part is needed, I just sort of did it on instinct. I tested on a backup copy, and tried the command again, to see if I could re edit if needed and it let me.
  16. You may already know, unsure, but for anyone reading who doesn't; If the item is lucky enough to have a v5 of the autohide script, you can delete or modify it by typing /95 part of the item name menu to edit, or /95 part of the item name delete to delete the script. For modifying it's easy, I just do show all after putting the item on, hide the areas the need hidden then type the command, then do get alpha on the menu, then I do finalize (I did this on a copy just in case, but the command still worked after, so you should still be able to edit if needed). My issue is with all the v4 and lower scripts I keep finding, which the command doesn't work with.
  17. Agreed, that is driving me nuts! First thing I noticed caming around is like "what are these dents" lol. Though thankfully "slightly" less noticeable using my session skin (and I'll just be covering it with clothing anyway, otherwise it's quite nice. I tested and agree, all though it does come out a bit more in back, the side is noticeably less wide upping it a bit, I went to around 14-16 ish to get a back/side width I liked.
  18. This a super fun event and I'm loving it! Most of these homes have been fun to visit and super nicely decorated! I loved the house that had you go through it as a whole haunted house to drop down by the bucket, so fun! And the clown one were they were all gathered around me. (and so many others!) my only complaint is the security orbs in a few of the houses (most were great though, want to reiterate!) I do hope someone makes a freaking a list of the few homes that decide to leave their security orbs on so you can't even find the bucket. I feel like LL ether needs to require disabling those during an event like this, or to make sure the bucket is placed out of range.
  19. 1: I'm only stating what it looks like, because why else would someone come on and complain about something so stupid that almost no one else has had issue with for the amount of years the MP has been around. Also, since your talking of facts, what facts do you have for this being a scam other then people not being able to read, since almost no one else here has ever once confused these for ratings. Show me your facts or continue to nitpick, your choice and the OP's (if they even talk the time to read, since they can't even read a MP post it seems. ) will show me and everyone else here who the idiots are. 2: Yes it is, because if the OP was upset about the false rating system, then they are obviously using it to some regard to influence their purchase (because if they aren't why complain about something they aren't using), in which case this becomes important. Also the fact that literally no one else is fooled here, shows it's not a scam, and anyone who thinks these are real rating needs to improve their reading comprehension skills. It's not a vendor's fault if someone can't read and understand where the ratings are. 3: You don't need to live on the MP, you just need to understand it's layout (which isn't hard), so again, reading comprehension for the win! We can't make things idiot proof, only idiot resistant, at some point someone is still responsible for their own lack of comprehension. I didn't miss your point, I just don't agree with it, but considering many INTP's I've met are usually full of themselves, I'd expect no less of a response, since your likely only looking to make people agree with you/look for for others who agree with you. Have fun with that approach in your real life. Perhaps you should take the advice in your own public profile " Getting offended by something you saw on the internet is like choosing to step in dog crap instead of just walking around it. If you have no sense of humor, do yourself a favor and block me. I'm bound to offend you in some way sooner or later."
  20. I have come across these stores myself, and other them me maybe taking the store less seriously from a business standpoint, see nothing wrong with this and have never once confused these for ratings. The only thing I'm getting from the OP's post is they seem to buy from ratings only and got themselves confused and are now mad about it.....>.> I'm sorry if this sounds harsh.. but if you are buying an item just because it's rated highly, then wtf?! I always read a few of the best and a few of the worst reviews before buying an item (especially if I can't demo it, because if there's a demo then just demo it?) Rather then looking at the ratings, I prefer to read the review, sometimes they give a good clue to them item, like a lot of bad reviews can be someone not knowing the product, or someone actually finding an issue (often the former), combined with a demo, I can usually discern if I should make the purchase or not. I would never even think to just buy something because of the rating it had and don't even pay attention to them, they are often misleading.... Also as someone who practically lives on the MP for shopping, browsing, etc, I don't think these even remotely look like ratings.
  21. I think the picture feature is coming to SL though as a default soon though.
  22. 1: I sure love to know where you've found this, cause I've been here 5 years nearly and not once seen this happen, and if it's happening all the time as you say, then it doesn't seem like their needs to be such a feature then. 2: I'm sure countries all over the world have a small minority of people who hold negative opinions on people from various other countries, doesn't make such an opinion right. Judging a whole country by a few jerks is wrong on so many levels and shows off how much of a jerk your acting like. 3: Try putting in your profile your looking for a gamer.....Or go to places IRL where gamers hangout. SL is not by most considered a game, but a social platform. Your not going to find as many gamers in SL ether hate to tell you. I've only met a few gamers on here.
  23. One thing to note too, many of these take downs are probably done by the shop, not SL. I've bought these types of items before, I don't think I've seen anything thing removed from my inventory (Still have my Eevee pet), if it were a DMCA, it would be wiped from your inventory. So it's probably shops who have ether moved on to other things, and/or shops who have realized how dangerous it is to sell these items and don't want to get a DMCA.
  24. 1: No, a lot of people come on for socialization or to be horny, I've met very few people seeking a genuine relationship in real life. 2: This is so rude I don't even hardly know what to say except that as an American I love meeting people from other countries and this mindset of yours makes me ashamed to share a country with you. 3: Or just use a freaking dating app, That's what their there for. You basically want to have all the fun stuff of SL then meet that person, can't wait to see the look on your face if it ever happens and that girl you've agreed to meet turns out to be a guy. >.>
