  1. I never saw the show either...except for a minute or two after dozing off. But, yes, they are relevant...they took over the whole dam lipstick industry and other parts of the cosmetic industry, not to mention it's very difficult in SL to get a thin lipped mesh head. Most mesh head's are Kardashian inspired lips; it's only obvious. That second photo above with tiny waist, that's like Kim getting into that corset for some award's show I didn't watch either but I saw the picture and read a paragraph or two on "the corset" dress. She had to do breathing exercises to wear this corset. The corset was so tight, she couldn't sit down....it's only kind of obvious the Kardashian's are inspiring this big hipped/large lipped clone that is rampant in SL. I hope we have variety soon and the Kardashian mania in SL ends. Like I said, make something different...not another Kardashian clone. Doesn't the below look familiar? It looks like the 2nd photo in the OP.
  2. This forum and curvy body....I don't get that unless other's are sick of the Kardashian mania that is a huge majority part of Second Life. I'd like mesh heads with smaller lips so we can actually have some variety in looks for SL other than Kardashian lips. Make something that is lacking in SL. This kind of curvy giant hips thing there's already tons of. I don't want giant hips nor to look like a Kardashian in any way. I am petite in real life. I saw that Kardashian show once in my entire life but was resting on a friend's bed and dozing off or I would never have seen it. But, I have bought enough makeup in real life to know how the Kardashian lip took over the lipstick industry and other parts of the cosmetic industry. In the makeup industry it's Kardashian, Karhashian, Kardashian...ad nauseum. I don't even think they are that attractive. I think Marilyn Monroe may have been the most beautiful women I've ever seen...but something else was inside Marilyn Monroe that made her that beautiful, I think. Monroe had an inner beauty and it radiated. Kardashian's blah.
  3. At first glance I thought it was Legacy. At second glance, I still think it's Legacy. They look the same to me. At 6.5K with no clothing, no. I'd like a slimmer body, however, in order to have shorter thin shapes. There are so many bodies already like this. Kim Kardashian I am sick of. It's been Kim, Kim, Kim for over 3 years since I started SL but without me. My lips are petite as is the rest of my avatar. I have a different view of looking pretty other than a Kardasian.
  4. Bob Dylan was talking 'bout "the phone's tapped anyway" what 60 years ago at least in "Subterranean Homesick Blues". Plants in the bed butThe phone's tapped anywayMaggie says that many sayThey must bust in early MayOrders from the D.A. Look out kidDon't matter what you didWalk on your tip toes
  5. Some other states may be headed for more restrictions, perhaps lockdown too...but if they have to sign up for unemployment again, it could take 2-3 weeks before benefits kick in. There are articles this morning saying the 2K should have been targeted. Should have been, could have been, it doesn't help matters much.
  6. I didn't think it was too fun. I can't even remember what the dude looked like as I was trying to look at the mouth shading. I had not a care in her bf in the slightest other than how the skin was shaded. But, have at it....
  7. Naw, she was schizo. I mean really schizo. People do create avatars here, like, ya know, it's a world of avatars. I look on Google.
  8. I have been hassled for looking at someone's boyfriend. I make avatar shapes and I'm here to create and I wanted to see the shading on the men's skins as the men's skins are far more realistic, not so air-brushed, and I've wanted a female skin that is more realistic, especially around the mouth. I have no interest in internet romance nor anyone's bf whatsoever. Now I can just Google tons of SL avatar "faces" without the hassle. It's not worth it.
  9. No, it's not. Most have very loose restrictions. Link is below to read it all. But, your statement here is absolutely false. Most have curfews and masks. Restrictions tighten in Mississippi Updated Dec. 27, 2020 Gov. Tate Reeves announced that a new executive order will require residents in more Mississippi counties to wear masks and follow other new guidelines Dec. 9. In total, 61 Mississippi counties will now be under the new order, which began Dec. 11 and will remain in effect until Jan. 15. Under the new order, sports venues have been further limited. The new order states indoor venues must now limit themselves to four spectators per student or a maximum of 250 ticketed spectators, depending on the size of the arena. Other indoor sports arenas will be limited to 10% seating capacity or 1,000 attendees, whichever is lower. Reeves had announced an executive order Dec. 1 that put 54 of the state's 82 counties under stringent COVID-19 requirements, including mask mandates and a 10-person limit on indoor gatherings when social distancing isn't possible and a 50-person limit at outdoor events. Businesses can remain open provided they operate in a limited capacity and adhere to guidelines issued by the Mississippi Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, he said. All private and public social gatherings are limited to 10 people while indoors and 50 people outdoors. 10. I'm not saying we are special at all. The only stay-at-homes and other restrictions I've heard first for New York and then California. No other press came through my news stream about any other states. Just following California is more than enough to keep up on that I lost track on New York weeks ago. As to whether, the Feds need to give out more money...with a lapse in unemployment benefits which could be a few weeks, $600 is not going to help anyone. I mentioned California because it would seem easier to do it via a whole state rather than a case-by-case basis. Being at minus 0% emergency care here in California is a very dire situation. But, you seem to be upon a high horse about being a champion of the no money crusade.
  11. I've tried to explain it to you. Lockdown, unable to go to work....loss of income and showed you what the weekly income is in California. See the system shut down when the unemployment ended and has to be restarted so there will be a lapse with no unemployment. And, I said California and other lockdown states need more and this is not stimulus money, it is survival money...partly because of the lapse or the gap before payments may restart. As far as what is going on in all other states, I have no idea. There is not enough time to read news 24/7. Some articles site delays due to antiquated systems in order to get the programs restarted again. ************* The week ended Dec. 26 is the last one that benefits can be paid since unemployment is paid out weekly, according to experts, unless the legislation becomes law. Even if Trump signs the legislation this week, it will take two to three weeks on average for most state unemployment agencies to reprogram their computers, Evermore estimates. "State agencies are freaking out," Evermore says. "In theory, Congress could make this retroactive, but it will take states weeks before they get things up and running. Not only will people not get a check for next week, but the following few weeks will be delayed as well." https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2020/12/27/stimulus-checks-unemployment-benefits-trump-covid-relief-package/4050133001/
  12. No, that's not true. On IRS.gov website it says 8 out of 10 "sign in there". lol Not all. That's why there were so many adverts for people to do so..."sign in there" to get their check. Plus, disabled, railroad retirees and lots of others have direct deposit too. It is that missing 2 out of 10 people, not known why they didn't "sign in there". Whether it was the old fashioned "redneck thinking" thinkers or not...all I can say is I have no idea who wouldn't want too.
  13. No, you missed the whole point here...unemployment benefits lapsed while California has been in strict lockdown so there is no "stimulus"...this is COVID RELIEF money, not stimulus, not in California. (Sorry the font is big - I copied it from a headline.) ‘We’re already too late’: Unemployment lifeline to lapse even with an aid deal Even if lawmakers enact an extension of emergency unemployment programs ahead of the Dec. 31 cut-off, lags in programming for antiquated state systems will still cause missed checks for the scores who rely on them.
  14. But, in California we are not even in stimulus though is what I am saying. This is survival money and many speakers have spoken about it to our federal government that this is not stimulus - it is survival money. Because of the delay for the stimulus which was changed btw to the Covid Relief Bill because of the fact many ARE NOT in stimulus territory yet, Californians lost over a week in unimployment benefits. Below is the median income for Californians. I'd say almost everyone I know fall a bit below that at about $25-26 dollars an hour but that is close enough to the stats for me to say the below is pretty darn accurate. So, we don't have any stimulus here. Nor do others who are behind due to their own lockdowns. As of Dec 21, 2020, the average annual pay for an Average in California is $62,356 an year. Just in case you need a simple salary calculator, that works out to be approximately $29.98 an hour. This is the equivalent of $1,199/week or $5,196/month.
  15. California is at -0% emergency room capacity...that is a different and immediate kind of state of emergency. I never heard California had declared an official state of emergency anywhere and I browse through news every day.
  16. There were enough places for it to been seen to sign into the appropriate IRS website to get a check. People just didn't want to do it. There are American's who don't like "Big Brother" government plus many people don't want to give out their address to "Big Brother". It's sometimes considered "redneck thinking" but not always. I don't know exactly what it is but some people just would not sign onto the IRS website to secure their check. But, anyhow...going forward...perhaps a code placed into our number for county and state is something that should be done. It's weird and amazing how they just sent out so many checks at once though. But, California needing FEMA assistance is a different story but my government has been making me literally ill from stress with their mis-handling of real dire situations in my home state. We have to have federal assistance and a state of emergency must be declared. FEMA has the power to issue checks the same day. I know, I received a check the morning of the 1994 Northridge earthquake in California.
  17. Quite probable. But, couldn't they have figured out how to divide by states at least? Perhaps a new number is needed for individuals then - a number that would include a code number for state and county. California needs to declare a state of emergency and see if FEMA can help or somebody.... ***************** About FEMA The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is an agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security, initially created under President Jimmy Carter by Presidential Reorganization Plan No. 3 of 1978 and implemented by two Executive Orders on April 1, 1979.[1][5] The agency's primary purpose is to coordinate the response to a disaster that has occurred in the United States and that overwhelms the resources of local and state authorities. The governor of the state in which the disaster occurs must declare a state of emergency and formally request from the President that FEMA and the federal government respond to the disaster. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Emergency_Management_Agency
  18. You know after I wrote "stock up on some things now...", I got to thinking perhaps not sending out the 2K checks was to avoid hoarding. However, still a stipulation should have been put that those counties and/or states in lockdown would receive the 2K as it wouldn't be hoarding money but necessary and vital living expense money if you're in lockdown. I'd hope they could make a stipulation. Hoarding would not be a good thing. When I say "stock up"...I don't mean hoard. But, also, there is a new strain and it's cold in other states and this virus gets stronger the colder it gets because the cold puts a kind of coat on the virus to protect it. California had odd freezing whether in November but now we are enjoying mild Spring-like weather. It is not cold here except at night. But, I do feel other states will be going into lockdown as California is coming out and this is just so messed up with no logical plan for living expenses and personal needs like insulin for example!
  19. Well, I wish there had been a stipulation for at least the lockdown counties or states to receive 2k. L.A. County is nearing four weeks now since we dipped below the 15% required by law available emergency care. L.A. County is at 0% available emergency care now. We need alternative emergency care now aside from hospitals. Since California locked down for Christmas and New Year's, we may come out of strict lockdown as other states go in and especially now "new strain" has been found. I am not going to give a lecture to anyone, however, who could not give up one Christmas. I can only deal with me - I (me alone) would have gladly given up one Christmas even if we didn't have a lockdown. But, I'm pretty sure other states will be going into lockdown as California comes out. It's still a wait and see, however...I have no crystal ball. But, if there had been a stipulation for those in lockdown to receive it, then as each of those in each state needed it, it would have been there and available. Stock up on some things just in case. I plan too with my money.
  20. Oh yeah...I think I heard that about two shots. Is that for the Pfizer one and the Moderna one? The Moderna one says it can be kept on dry ice like other types of vaccines while the Pfizer one needs a deeper type of freeze. Moderna has 50 million vaccines for 2020 and will have about 1.3 billion doses in 2021. If we have/had 50 million vaccines for 2020, let's get going! I heard only about 2 million people have been vaccinated thus far. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/doctors-explain-when-you-can-realistically-expect-to-get-the-covid-19-vaccine/ar-BB1bbcBB?li=BBnb7Kz
  21. Report this morning says Moderna has enough vaccine for 50 million people in 2020 - that's just a few days. So, come on...let's go already. Let's go already. I'm ready to be vaccinated period whenever it gets here. However, I might assume I may need a second injection because of the new strain first found in the U.K. but it's been found in one state now in America. But, I'm ready whenever it gets here.
  22. I'd second a lot of these. I will add Tram for unisex hairs...kind of younger looking and more hip though so I don't know if you want younger or not. Just adding it. For Tram, you need to shop inworld. I saw Sintiklia mentioned...it has some uber-hip hairs for men that I only saw recently. I love no.match for female but great choice for unisex hair.
  23. OMG, I know. The crazy things on Marketplace. I've seen many. I went on Marketplace to start looking at skyboxes I might like as I'd like to have a home for a few months anyways. Well, I ended up finding that above and bought lipstick. Haven't looked at skyboxes yet. Typical day on Marketplace.
  24. This looks kind of like me in real life...well, the skin color, hair color and red nose, especially the red nose. Yep.
