That's not the point at all and you know it. I was thinking of autistic people that may come to the forums here as well and how that could be confusing. And, as a matter of fact, one posted in this thread.

I'm confused as to how you find it okay to point fingers at random groups of people who you perceive to displease you, whilst preaching about how impolite people are. If a person consistently find themselves in flame wars and drama, chances are they themselves are the cause. Yeah well maybe she lashed out on that sentence but otherwise her post was good and fair. However, it takes two to make the flame war and drama though. I did not know Rowan was not sad. I find it all bizarre that someone is laughing when posts are not funny and children can become neurotic or develop a neuroses because of parents with inappropriate reactions. It's just not needed and over-done on this forum here and that's my opinion of it especially in regards to newbies, but it doesn't mean all is inappropriate. I've stated an instance where it was when it happened to me and how I've learned to deal with it for myself and others - it's annoying but I've learned to deal with the annoyance. However, if it's a troll or a troll in one's own opinion if it's not obvious, what happened to just ignoring it is also what I am saying? Kytteh said the same - why not ignore it?

I think others are trying to justify it as well because it's done to newbies who don't know the "office politics" around here with laughing at posts that are not funny for one example. In a newbie's eyes, it's rude if not downright bizarre. When it happened to me after writing a post about the SL specs being for the Classic avatar, it was startling and bizarre to say the very least and it went on for days. Others simply want their own way all the while, inworld in an avatar, we have feelings but those coming to a forum apparently do not. I'd prefer to be able to disable them altogether as they are too time consuming. I have to do work. I don't have time for tons of likes. I give them out here and there as time permits, and I am the same way on FB. I'd prefer to reply to one of my family on FB then give out likes. I cannot give out bazillions of likes.

I agree with you Kytteh that these drama queen/king reactions are rude at times, that does not mean all of the time. However, we say people behind the avatars have feelings. People on the forum do as well. There has to be some understanding regarding certain ways to act towards others on the forum. I was stalked for days with scorn laughs for writing a post that the SL computer specs are there because they were probably written for the Classic avatar and LL doesn't know what kinds of other types of products people are buying nor creating. And, it was shocking at first and was very odd to say the least. I did report the person but she still does it and does it to a lot of posters here.

This is probably true for the most part but you don't know every situation. When these scorn laughs started happening to me it was after a post I had written out about how the SL computer specs are most likely there because the specs are for the Classic avatar and since LL doesn't know what kind of products the user-made content is going to be how can they determine what specs are needed. And, then I get for days these laughs on every post I made for days about things that aren't funny. I reported it. The person still does it but does it to a lot and I mean a lot of posters on this forum. It's annoying at times but I've gotten used to the annoyance.

The thing is though she said these confused reactions are the reason many don't want to post on the forums, and you reacted with a sad face. So, partly you do understand it's not always the best way to deal with things. However, I'd say mostly on this forum, we talk about things that have been talked about already a dozen times. As far as who can/can't, yes I've seen how it works here but how do you know some (I'm not saying all) who mention other businesses aren't an alt for that business spamming? It's like it's okay as long as it's not the actual person, so an alt could do it. This I don't mind but others might. There really aren't a lot of happy mediums regarding certain things. I pretty much adopt a live and let live attitude here, and when I said free speech I said that which ISN'T against the TOS of the Community Guidelines here.

I read the thread after I posted in the 'I'm Being Targeted' thread. In the I'm being targeted thread I was generalizing about the whole reaction thing. It seems to me that that particular WTF involved things that had occurred prior wherein the person was told she could NOT speak about a business she was involved in but others could post about stores and sales endlessly. That part made me go hmmmmmm, in that I agree with her. And, then you mentioned in that thread that there was even a thread about cheap decorating stores and what are the best but still she can't post? If we can talk about stores I did not see why she was so in the wrong talking about her venture. Without going all that off topic, although this is a drama situation of who can post about stores and who can't, it seemed to me she was being targeted for past offenses which again are not that big of a deal to me but this forum gets bent out of shape easily. In that thread she also mentioned these reactions are one of the reasons people don't want to post on the forum, and you reacted with a sad face. So, I felt it was worth bringing up.

In one of my other posts about this though was that it is over done. I finally read the posts of the thread that was locked as I had not read the thread before I answered in that she was being targeted, well that's how it feels at times. Not all the time, but at times, it does.

Like the rest of your post below that line. I saw your post that said that regarding it's the why they said it. Why do you say anything you say? If I have an opinion that governments are in cahoots with one another and we are just pawns in their game - so what. If someone has an opposite opinion that governments are not corrupt and we are not pawns in their game - so what. I wrote my post because I think people over-react and generally, to me, it's a lot of drama queen/king reaction stuff that isn't necessary and also it's free speech and much of what I and others have said is not against the forum TOS either in the Community Guidelines.

But, what is a WTF other than confused? Usually, WTF means for example "what are you saying" or something to that effect if it's not mean. It's like I may have said a derogatory post about all governments in general and that they are all corrupt in their own devious ways at one time and gotten a WTF reaction? What is so WTF or surprising or strange that someone would say that at all on a message board especially when I was a newbie and there is no clause in the SL forum TOS that politics are not allowed in the off topic General Discussion area? And, I also mentioned a few things about the stock market being all too transparently corrupt when I was new and gave my explanation which was short enough to not be a TLDR and got another WTF. If people don't want to read what I wrote why not just scroll by? It's not so strange that governments manipulate stock markets. They do it every day. Take Bitcoin which just made a bearish head and shoulders pattern on their chart right when China says it is banning Bitcoin mining in one of it's provinces'. I do not believe China's banning was just a coincidence to form the bearish head and shoulders pattern for Bitcoin. That head and shoulders bearish reversal pattern was all perfectly orchestrated between very rich men and leaders of countries. It didn't just happen by accident. But, if you don't want to read it, don't read it. Why try to stifle free speech when it's not against the TOS? And, that's what I feel some are doing - trying to stifle free speech and/or just be controlling.

I think there are some issues with certain topics that cause a lot of "drama"; i.e., religion and politics especially. Some of the politics, IMO, should have been excused though due to COVID as government took over our lives. I have a feeling politics may not come up too much anymore as we attempt to be a more post-COVID world moving around again. We are not completely out of the woods yet though regarding COVID, that's not what I'm saying, I'm saying governments shouldn't be as big a part of our lives as they were.

Just to add a bit about streaming...there is a new thing about decentralized video streaming. I'm not so sure SL should continue to ignore the blockchain completely 'if' it does go for a new UI. I'm sure blockchain and the rest is a different discussion though as that's all very involved. But video streaming is changing direction to decentralized and quite faster for a couple of things.

I think perhaps that is more to lack of knowing what to say. I try to say several things in local chat but try to keep it about the song or light-hearted. The woman in the Bob Dylan song is quite different from just using "formalities" which is not what I was talking about. I don't like drama and I don't watch any TV at all probably because of that. Before SL, I had been doing different art projects in my pass time but that particular pass time was hurting my back, so I decided to look into SL for a possible building hobby. I actually had wanted to learn Photoshop for 15 years and finally did, not that I know everything about PS but I learned a lot in the past few years. As far as too nice, no, not like that plastic type women in the Bob Dylan song "Positively 4th Street" where Bob writes "you see me on the streets, you always act surprised, you say how are you, good luck, but you don't mean it". I do not think people in SL are like that women but I have known fake people who are very much like the woman Bob describes in the song I am speaking about as they are all about appearances, manners and money which comes down to their position and place that Bob further describes in the song. If someone is not causing any harm with their post I simply feel others should just leave it be and not stalk them around with inappropriate reactions; it's rude for one plus it's not necessary. If someone is genuinely confused that's one thing. If it's needed that's another but many times it's not needed, it's just a stick it your face kind of thing. Same with the scorn laughs on posts that are not funny.

Arielle, I thought that post about the spike proteins was way out of line here. As far as @examining you should ask your doctor not a message board, not any message board period as a doctor may need to know the status of a person's condition before recommending a vaccine. I know one person who has had medication increases vastly over the last eight months. Her doctor has her on a do not vaccinate at this time due to the vastly increasing medication she is taking right now. The women uses PPE throughout her entire day. However, even this one person I am speaking about should not determine whether you should be vaccinated or not, your doctor and you should decide that if you are leery because you have COPD and why should a doctor determine that, because people on a message board do not know your exact condition. If you are fearful, ask your doctor.

Agreed and it's bullying. I woke in the middle of the night remembering a movie I had watched years ago called "The Elephant Man". Perhaps some could watch that movie before they hand out their idiotic laughs at things that are not funny period nor confusing. The ones leaving those scornful laughs and confused reactions are the ones who need to learn how to scroll past instead of upsetting others. Watch The Elephant Man and watch the horrible scornful laughs he gets. He was thought not appropriate for any "society" either. One should be able to bar reactions from a forum user when they are on ignore but then they start going after others and disrupting the discussion again.

It is a bit over done, Sid but at least you guys have sculpted arms that look more real. Females have "Barbie" arms and it's getting old. I want real defined shoulders and arms but not like a female body builder. I mean get past the "Barbie" arms with no definition whatsoever for female bodies. Women unite: We want arms too!

I think that is more likely if we don't get vaccinated as the only way to herd immunity is through vaccination. There is no other way. This is not a lie about herd immunity. Only vaccines can achieve herd immunity. I've had a Pneumovax for many years which made my Chronic Fatigue Syndrome go into remission. It was a wonderful thing that happened to me.

Is it pro-war propaganda? It could be but others have sent me stuff on FB about the Chinese telling the truth and being censored since the pandemic began in March of 2020 which I have ignored since I find it nothing that can be proved and about as credible as a chain letter wherein I would get $100,000 if I do this chain letter thing. It is not new that there are Chinese who have been telling the truth...yada, yada...circulating on social media. That has been going on for over a year. I ignore it, Chroma, as a I do chain letters or spam as it can't be proven.

With the current issues between China and Taiwan, it seemed not a good thing to say Taiwan considers itself China. Taiwan due to an old agreement more or less settled for the lesser of two evils and has a name called Republic of China, I would have understood what she meant if she had said Taiwan has China as part of it's name, not that Taiwan considers itself China since China wants to currently overthrow Taiwan. And, hopefully this will get back on topic.

They don't consider themselves China either. They consider themselves Taiwan and are Taiwanese. When two governments one China was written I don't think they had much choice. In the Wiki of China Airlines, it says they fear if they change the name to be less confusing, China will not allow them to operate.
