I found some interesting new hair makers and picked up a few gifts and demos. It's great for demoing and people watching!

It's been amazing to me how much SL has brought my social anxiety to the surface. When I first stumbled upon this place I would run like hell whenever there was another avatar around. Then I saw that and was like, "Why?, What the hell are they going to do to you, talk, bump into you, throw a bunch of man parts at you (yes that did happen early on in one of the SL gateway type sims)? But who cares after all?" And in RL I am pretty shy but that lasts usually only until I open up my mouth. So more and more I strike up random conversations, and sometimes people ignore you and sometimes not. Anyway this is a bit rambling, but I do appreciate what you are saying here. And on that note, anybody who wants to be friends, do IM me! I can't guarantee that I'll never respond, but then again I might get hit by a truck tomorrow and nobody here will ever know...

@ChinRey @Klytyna You were right! There was an invisible prim that had gotten separated from the main object and the movement axis ended up midway between the two. Ctrl+Alt+T and Ctrl+[period] are my new friends. I moved that prim back into place and the problem is now fixed. Thanks!

Thanks for the tips! Lots to try there. I'll get to it as soon as I can. @ChinRey Yes a black background would help -- I almost lost it yesterday when I rezzed it on some green astroturf-looking stuff!

Don't know if this is the right place to post, but this seemed like a post related to building since it concerns editing an object. I have a pair of earrings that I used to wear all the time and one is suddenly acting strangely. When I try to edit it the x,y,z axis arrows are some distance away from the object, but this is only the case with one earring -- it is a set of two objects, a left and a right, and only the right one is acting screwy. I have included a screen shot which shows the distance between the positioning arrows and and the object. Since the arrows are so far away from the object it is impossible for me to position it relative to my body. Plus it wasn't doing that before. I have no idea if I inadvertently clicked somewhere I shouldn't have. The earrings are "no copy" and not super expensive but I'd rather not have to buy another pair. Can anyone help? In the image just the problem earring is selected and you can see it highlighted hovering behind me. Thanks!

Sorry I don't speak Spanish, but can read it a bit. Is this what you are asking about?

That's a good idea for a new thread!

Following up on Ivanova's suggestion here, what I'm thinking for this thread is that I'll start with a picture, somebody else adds a caption and puts in a picture of their own, then the next person adds a caption and an image and so on. Here's mine, have at it!

Somewhere in the region between Wendy O Williams of the Plasmatics, Kate Pierson of the B52's and P***y Riot (without the face masks!). Punk is NOT dead! I'm definitely partial to shaved-side hairstyles, if only I could find more I'd be happy (and broke).

I love that dress on you!

Me too! Doubly creative! I love your unique and playful styles and the drawings are very fun and fresh.

This tiny little slider IS annoying, but in Firestorm if you right click your avatar, then chose "appearance" and then "hover height" from the context menus, you'll get a standalone slider that is much bigger and easier to use. You can leave it on screen or minimize it. Much better option than the Quick prefs IMO.

@Clover Jinx Thanks!
