Maybe those Regions were a Sandbox-type place where the Builds were prepared? Or maybe they are other-language versions? I think there are two other language WelcomeHUBS that I heard about.

I've really been enjoying visiting the WelcomeHUB in the past couple of weeks. The makeover is really beautiful and thoughtfully designed. I noticed many Residents' requests/suggestions I've read in Group chats and here on the Forum have been implemented as well as many features which came as nice surprises to me. The Mentors are doing a great job welcoming new Residents and helping them as needed. I feel its being managed very well and have seen numerous new Residents come back after a few days or weeks which makes me feel they return because they had a good experience and trust the guidance they received. Some have new questions, others return just to chat and some offer updates of their progress. The question I'm asked in IM by new Residents most often is "Are you a real person?" After I assure them I am, I usually ask how they are doing in SL or if they are enjoying SL. Almost all have said they are doing fine or have a specific question. Most mention that they have followed the orientation and would like to explore or meet people. I suggest using the Destination Guide or offer a short list of activities they might like. They have been receptive, appreciative and eager to experience SL. I hope to see them again, enjoying SL as much as I do. I think they are getting a great start in the new WelcomeHUB. Thank you to all the Lindens and Moles for listening to and considering the wants and needs of all Residents and for making decisions for the benefit of all Residents in this huge, wonderful, crazy, beautiful, virtual world. Its a lovely day for a leisurely motorboat ride! This is the lighthouse where I had my first inworld Mole sighting in 2019! It was Dyna Mole the day the water Rez Zone in Kuga Region was made. I love that Bellisseria has connected most of the Mainland Continents. Its contiguous landscaping and beauty makes it my favourite place to travel and explore by land, air and water vehicle to my heart's content: 🏘️ 🚗 🏚️ 🚚 🏡 🚲 🚣‍♂️ 🤽‍♂️ ⛵ 🌊🏄‍♀️ 🛬 🌤️ 🚁🌄 🥰🚋🛤️🤩 I love to find little surprises (Easter Eggs) which the Moles have placed 😉 so carefully for us to find 💌 I love the Community gathering places and going to the parties at them ! I love the Events Centre near the Sprockets Cafe where we can see coming Events planned in each of the Community Centres. We really enjoyed meeting up at Sprockets for coffee to plan our day's adventures in Bellisseria... we must resurrect that part of our routine! I love all the Resident volunteers who organize Events and fun activities for everyone to participate in ♥♥ Thank you Moles, Lindens and Volunteers who work so hard to make our Second Life a joy and a pleasure every day !

We take a leisurely break sipping coffee this early morning in our Secret Hideaway and listening to relaxing Nu Green Jazz while our neighbour's Orca entertain us with their antics in a rather calm sea. It will be difficult to pull ourselves away and do some work... thank goodness we are retired 🥰

You can buy up to 2252 m2 without going over your 2048 allowance by using the Buy For Group! Hope you enjoy Mainland as much as I do!

You can contact Support and Submit a Ticket. You will need to know the region name and have a SLurl to that land handy. If you want only part of a piece of Abandoned Land, a photo or descriptive drawing showing what you want helps also. It usually takes about a week or less if no one else has requested the same parcel. Good luck and I hope you enjoy Mainland as much as we do!

@Tommy Linden I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask for more considerations to the marketplace changes, but here goes: Marketplace Search has been giving me poor results also. I’d like it if there was some way for Search to consider giving the users an option to “Consider using Favourites including Favourite Stores” before delivering Search results which seem to be delivering some bizarre results which (must be returned in error) have no relation to what I’m searching for. also, is there a way to offer an option to “lock” things like Permissions or Price Range when changing the Search terms which return unexpected results?

Linden Lab didn't sell Tilia. They made it independent company so it could be used by other platforms in the Metaverse, not just Second Life, making it more valuable. "The plan is to enable metaverse payments for all of the companies that need financial services for their virtual economies. Tilia will now be its own company, independent of Linden Lab, the owner of Second Life, the virtual world that debuted in 2003. “They invested in us and they solidified a really big partnership,” said Brad Oberwager, executive chairman of Tilia. “We’re like the tip of the spear for the metaverse. They’re a good partner with a lot of credibility.” "

That could be an awful lot more work for small income earners, having to collect, report and remit state sales taxes, etc.

I would guess that as the value of the L$ fluctuates, that LL must charge the fee based on the exchange rate at the time of the transaction… same as buying or selling? If not, that would seem terribly unfair to everyone!

I’ve not heard of those metaverses so I must not be in their target market demographic and have no kids. If they pay people who used to Create for Second Life, then I’d assume Second Life has done a great job in providing a start for their endeavours venturing into the limitless virtual world(s). There will never be just 1 metaverse or it would swallow its own tail, I think?
