  1. Now where we have an unscheduled inventory maintenance (2024/04/23), just want to tell about weird observations on my outfits, .

I use three mesh bodies, Lara , LaraX and Reborn.

All Lara and LaraX behave and show normal, but all Reborn related outfits miss like AO and parts. Others, who also experience this or similar?

Fingers crossed, problem will be solved without any damage on saved outfits, would hate to manual have to remake 300+ careful made outfits.

Hi! Wondering if anyone has recommendations for what I should update next or if I really need anything updated, second life runs pretty good but gets a bit laggy when there’s other Avis around or even just in busy events etc.  I just got my graphics card and more ram. I heard it’s good to get 1 or 2T of ssd and also a good cpu with lots of cores/ better single core performance. So yeah if anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated thanks !

Your PC is pretty good modern and even a high end gaming PC with a better CPU and a better GPU like RTX 3070 - RTX4090 struggles with the problem with lag, when many ppl in a club etc. The problem is not the hardware.

I would get a bigger SSD 1TB or 2 TB and if you want to update CPU go for previous generations like an i5, you save a lot of money and the gain unless you are a pro gamer or working with high end graphics/video in 4K or better, are limited.

This question has probably been answered already, but this thread is now 50 pages long, so I'm not going through it all to try finding the answer:

I know that much of my Lara Classic stuff won't work with LaraX unless I get lucky on alphas.  So.. what about the reverse:  How likely is it that I can make LaraX clothes work on Lara Classic?

Some rigged will fit remarkable well, for example Vision's Mell set, but you will get weird fits, gap around the breast.

Else biggest problem is pelvis sticking out and typical parts of hips and shoulders, upper arms.

Pants, underwear will have a gap behind and in front disappear into lower pelvis.

It normally would make no sense to dress previous Lara with LaraX rigged clothing.

Is it just me, who finds ugly sweaters got less ugly with the years? Don't get me wrong, many are fun and rigging etc perfect, but the ugliness not like real ugly as before.

  5. Folder named "2023 Christmas Shop & Hop" with sub folders "Home", "Clothing" etc and under clothing sub folders for my mesh bodies "Lara",  "LaraX", "Reborn".

And I only walk through max 2-3 regions per day. On home return I take a look and decide what to keep.

Learned to be picky with they years, else one easy drown in things, where some maybe are only used once.

Okay, not awesome resolution here, but it gets the point across.

    PBRandHazeGif.gif.916ee7d88453a6fa641bf2fe03e948a1.gif

TL:DR (or didn't watch) -- it's the haze density setting.  Moving the haze density slider to zero results in the mostly black hair thingie.  If anyone with actual technical expertise wants to explain why this is a thing, that's awesome; if I don't know why the haze impacts it like this, it could circle around to bite me again in some way.  But I have a practical solution for now, at least.

Cannot give the definitive answer, maybe one with knowledge of computational EEP algorithms can answer better.

In SL it uses as default the blue density default RGB(0,0,128), but color can be custom to any color, like black in your EEP. So a Haze Density of 0.0 will be reflected with the color used in for example your hair. Default would be a bluish reflection. One could argue the default minimum value should be 0.01.

Haze is a term that is widely used in image processing to refer to natural and from human activity aerosols. It causes light scattering and absorption, where it is this causing the "strange" colorization, when value set to 0.0.

Quite complex formulas behind the calculations, think of light sources like the sun, maybe even a passing car with headlights on, reflections from glass in one scene, you get the complexity behind.

Don't forget the free group gift from Onyx LeShelle; Maitreya *Gigi Bodycon Dress* VIP Group Gift - depending on you body, breast size use of alpha required.

Over shoulders UNA Serena Jacket Camel. Until we get updates for LaraX from our favorite creators, we have to be a little creative like over shoulders and clever use of BOM alpha.

I have an Australian sim and would like to set the day/night to Australian times. Anyone know what the setting would be? Im not bright enough to work it out lol

Have you taken a look at About Land->Environment, the default time offset from UTC (aka Greenwich Mean Time) is -8 hours, hence SLT = Pacific time west coast USA.

UTC offset for Australian Eastern Daylight Time (New South Wales (except Broken Hill), Victoria, Tasmania, Australian Capital Territory) is eleven hours. That is UTC+11:00.
