How do I set the deny_bots flag using the Region/Estate window? In some viewers, the deny_bots flag can be set using the World > Region/Estate > Estate tab interface. Under the Anyone can visit setting, check the box next to Must not be a scripted agent, then click Apply. This will set the deny_bots flag and prevent identified scripted agents from visiting regions in the estate. It says nothing about having this option on the Region tab in the window. If one were to Enable Bots in the estate window, it would allow bots in ALL regions. I can't see an Estate owner allowing a region owner to.change that.

I think you're mistaken on this. In the estate window it says Region/Estate. As in Private Region OR Estate. Private regions CAN be part of an Estate but being an Estate of one is still an estate. From the knowledge base... An estate can never have less than one region

If I were an unscrupulous person scraping data using unregistered agents, I certainly wouldn't post about it with said unregistered accounts. I'd post anonymously. You don't need any type of registered or unregistered account to spam people for sales. That's what people make throw away accounts for.

There are already security orbs that only allow people you place on the access list. I own one. No one gets in unless I specifically ALLOW them. However, if my neighbor allows everyone, scripted agents, bots (unregistered agents), then that agent can still scan me in my home. There is no scam. There is no reason for one. You have absolutely no control over what happens on another parcel in your region of the region itself allows bots (scripted agents) and even less control if the bots aren't registered as such.

It's bad business practice to not try to accommodate a disgruntled customer but that does happen all the time in both worlds. You can adjust you Ultra setting for clubs and save it in Firestorm. I run with higher complexity yet turn draw down to under 100 and shadows off. That should make a big difference. There are lots of little tweaks to graphics setting instead of just ticking Low or Ultra. Try different combos. Draw distance and shadows will have the most impact, however.
