  1. I used to RP. I don't anymore. I also don't chat as much as I used to. It's mostly reserved for the forums now.
  2. I saw this house earlier and it caught my eye so I do what I normally did; started clicking all the things to find out who created it! I was amazed it wasn't linked, thinking that it was a store bought design you just rezzed there. No way are you a crappy builder at all! Truly a great design and such a cute house. Can't wait to see what it looks like when you're finished with it. 😲 ❤️ 👍
  3. Bellisseria will do the trick. Works for me. Good luck.
  4. There's a group (or several?) that you could join and voice with the mods in order to "be verified" and from that point on wear some kind of acknowledgement of it in your profile. Or just be a member of those groups. That's how it USED to be. Not something I personally endorse or do but I know of it. But when it all boils down we still have to take the mods' word for it that everyone else wearing the same tag or verification/tick of approval is actually being honest. Considering voice morphing programs not just in SL but external plug-ins make it a moot point. And I wouldn't go so far as to say it's all a man's hangup. Seems the population by and large are becoming increasingly paranoid. Case in point: SL Secrets. I absolutely abhor that site (but for some reason my best friend loves it). The amount of vitriol spewing from both sexes over who's a man and who's a woman IRL behind the avatar is disgusting. It amuses me that the people doing the demanding expect everyone else to take their word for it, or will happily almost force voice on you to prove their gender regardless whether you care or want to know or not. That's basic insecurity and not confined to one specific gender.
  5. Took this pic a few minutes ago. Tried to catch the moon in a particular spot just above the bridge but my FPS was in the red and staggering. It's still a lovely view! ❤️
  6. That looks so cute! Has a country chic feel to me with a touch of Hamptons. I don't even know if that's a "thing" but it works for you. And the animals are so cute too! 👍
  7. Yes, you do. Unless an alt owned one of those properties. ^ Exactly this. Because you can only have one premium house per premium membership. So you either abandon the one you have and wait to catch another or you use an alt. You cannot have one and try to catch another one on the same account.
  8. (I'm sorry but that foot tapping keeps making me laugh, I can practically HEAR it!) Don't worry, Jason's only... third place just in case Tom Hardy and Ryan Hurst (so long as he keeps the beard) fall through. I mean the chances of that happening are... well, I mean it's always good to have a backup of a backup plan, right? 🤔 And to stay on track, I updated the little half-roof section of my back porch so it better matches the wrap around. Not like it will rain ever in Bellisseria but nice to pretend to need it.
  9. Thank you so much! Yes, this place is amazing. Truly one of the best landscaped regions I've come across in years. I'll definitely be taking more pictures here, whether I post them on this thread or not. There's just something to see everywhere you look. After seeing what you can do with humble subject matter I can't wait to see what you do here! 😍 😲 🤯
  10. Aww Kira, you're making me blush over here! Nope, I most certainly am not. But I DO admit to being extremely inspired by the other pics here that play on shadows and light and thought to try my hand at it. What's that they say about imitation being the highest form of flattery? Well, that! And thank you for being so kind! 😁 🤗 ❤️
  11. Thanks! And probably, though you're clearly not alone... I don't even want to hazard a guess regarding the psychology behind that! 😏😆 I wanted to add these pics purely because I simply adore this region. A friend introduced me to it and now I keep going back taking photos! (it's a good thing he's patient!) ^ All taken at Copper River (where the Flourish Sales event is). I could literally live here and never leave. This is the level of decorating and landscaping I aspire to and one day, by golly, achieve it I shall!
  12. I can't believe I never saw this thread before. There are some truly lovely shots here, as well as some very talented artists among us! Second Life is an amazing place and this thread is proof of that! Anyway, I haven't taken any new-new landscapes for a while, but these are the favourites that usually end up on my wall in world (and in this post, all of these pics are hanging in my Linden Home right now because nostalgia is real ). ^ Taken in my original RP region, Stormy Valley about five or six years ago now? ^ Not the best quality but this is old too, back before I realized I could change camera proportions. Taken at Never Totally Dead. ^ Taken at Outbreak, back when I used to RP there. Think it's since closed now too. ^ Taken looking out through dirty glass on a friend's former RP region, Consequence California. ^ Taken at Arranmore. None of these have been altered in any way, just used windlight settings.
  13. I think partial blame lay with the default camera positioning. Where it sits by default there's a slight distortion at depth perception looking down instead of out, whereas positioning the camera closer to or offset the shoulder of an avatar and you start to see things more level. In this way you start seeing just how ridiculously over-sized the SCALE of some things really are and what has since been adopted as standard.
  14. 10 minutes seems excessive. I don't know how you have the patience for that! Personally I don't wait that long. Once you first load your dashboard page (the page where you select the house styles from), wait ONE MINUTE (60 seconds at minimum) and set your time interval for anything ABOVE 60 seconds. Then after that first minute has passed you can press start on your auto refresh plug-in. Mine is set to 72 and it can automatically refresh all night and not cap at all. But the trick is you must wait at least one minute between the time you first open the page to when you start auto refreshing, or you will in effect be using two refreshes in less than a minute and you will reach your 10 attempts per 10 minute cap. But having said that, it's all trial and error so as @Nika Talaj has shown above you need to find what works for you. Good luck!
  15. Couldn't resist. Added a... um... "feature wall" to my bedroom. 😏 NOW my home is finally starting to feel hot. Did I say hot? I meant comfortable. Definitely comfortable. ❤️ 🤤 😍
  16. Probably not, I've no idea. Admittedly it's a hit-and-miss affair for me too usually, but my connection out here isn't the best either. No idea. House has been released! Good luck to the new owners, I hope they enjoy it!
  17. Sheer dumb luck. I was watching the forums here and heard mention of Moles and Lindens in the area. Heard that once the red marker was removed and the region restarted that release might be likely. So started manually refreshing. Logged in and out twice which equated to twenty refreshes, and then got one. So if that's a strategy that you wish to adopt, by all means try it! It worked for me this time so it might work for you in the future? And releasing in a minute now since I got distracted here. Anyone still looking get ready to manually refresh!
  18. Get ready. Releasing a house in San Alejandro in five minutes.
  19. Yes. And I took pictures of them too! The day that Everett was released.
  20. Aww thank you! Coming from you that means a lot! ❤️ 🤗
  21. I think you could be right. I was talking to @Juliet Ducrot earlier and we seem to agree this could be the case. Already we've seen the same couple of houses doing the rounds between many of us - so clearly we're all vying for the same parcel! Also just saw another Traditional pass by.
  22. Only they aren't always the release days, but most people are still expecting them. Hence the abandons. So for anyone looking to catch a home, Monday's, Wednesdays and Friday (mornings SL time) is the time to do it!
