i visited some more experiences and I become more and more disappointed about Sansar. The experiences look like installations and sims you find in the destinations of SL. Nice to see and to make some pics but after one or two visits you don't go back because you can't do there anything. I saw an experience with a beach and sea. The sea looked like SL in 2007 without windlight and the palms looked like Eric Linden trees. No preferences, no daylight to change. no inventory, There is a long way to go before Sansar will be interesting for a SL resident.

I don´t think SL is dying. The hype of 2007/2008/2009 with 90.000 residents online at USA prime time is long gone but I still see often 50.000 residents online Mainland is dying. That's for sure. And clubs are dying. Most clubs are empty. People socialize less and less. In early years there was a lively local chat in most clubs. Nowadays nobody says a word in local. SL has become more and more a game instead of a virtual world.

Na een week tobben en worstelen met VDJ heb ik het eindelijk voor elkaar. Of het nou aan mij ligt of aan VDJ weet ik nog steeds niet maar ik werd niet goed van het eindeloos gehannes met VDJ. Ik heb vanmorgen Mixxx geïnstalleerd en binnen 15 minuten had ik het spelend en helemaal gratis !

Hmm...downtime on wednesday...Then finally after 8 hours, the grid was online again. 30.000 ava's tried to log in all at once...it took you at least 45 minutes to get in. And then you crashed on first tp... Yes, your ava strangely fold up was one of the weird things in SL..haha

Hebben jullie nog tips wat een handige headset is voor een DJ ? Draadloos of beter van niet ?

Oh gelukkig, en bedankt voor je snelle reactie. Wel vreemd dat het me gisteren niet op viel. Op de tweede machine draai je dan VDJ en daar ben je ook ingelogd op de server. Ik heb nog een extra pc hier dus dat kan ik in de toekomst misschien doen

Ik heb een probleem. Als ik ga uitzenden dan gaat het 20 seconden goed. Daarna hoor ik de track dubbel. Alsof je twee dezelfde opnames hoort waarvan de één iets achter loopt op de andere. Wat ik op mijn land hoor dat loopt 20 seconden achter op VDJ. Dat is natuurlijk geen doen. Het enige wat ik nu kan doen dat is de muziek in firestorm uitzetten, dan hoor ik alleen VDJ zelf. Dit begon vanmorgen. Eerder was er geen enkel probleem. Hebben jullie een idee wat ik hier aan kan doen ?

Heb je helemaal gelijk in. Maar denk je dat er een DJ in SL is te vinden die zo'n licentie heeft ?

Sim cossings have improved in the last 10 years dramatically. I don't see very often flying sailboats anymore. And crashing while sailing hardly happens anymore for me. Flying can be bad at times. I was one of the first residents that tested the recovery hud. It never worked for me... A lot of these issues are not the same for everyone. Simcrossing at a 90 degrees angle helps a lot for me. same for being low scripted and wear a system body with no mesh at all.

Als je hier kijkt : http://virtualdj.com/products/virtualdj/comparison.html dan zie je dat je voor het streamen naar een professionele radioserver, en dat doe je volgens mij als je wilt DJ-en in SL, een pro licentie nodig hebt. Alleen het streamen naar podcast is gratis en kan zonder licentie. Op mijn vraag op het forum van VDJ werd dat bevestigd. Ik heb in 8 al geprobeerd om uit te zenden zonder licentie en dan krijg ik de melding dat ik geen licentie heb en niet kan broadcasten. Op Internet is wel een crack te vinden overigens.... Ik heb nu een pro licentie en alles werkt goed. Dat kost me 20$ per maand. Ik kan het per maand opzeggen. Het is zo verwarrend. Er wordt gesproken over een pro en een home versie maar als ik het goed heb begrepen zijn beide gelijk. Ik kan op de site geen pro versie vinden. Zonder licentie betaal je niks maar kan je niet streamen naar een radio server. Met licentie kan dat wel. Dat is dan het verschil tussen home en pro denk ik. Of kan jij met de 8 versie zonder licentie wel streamen naar een radio server ?

Well, all is working fine now. I never realized that I need a license to broadcast...hmm yes, that sounds a bit silly but some websites are not very clear about it. Anyhow, it works now

Thank you for your help Alwin, really appreciate it but I am really done now with the streaming stuff. I rented a different server..this one looks good in Chrome and in mediaplayer but......when I copy and paste the music URL in the sound tab of the land I hear a different stream and not the music that I am spinning...spend enough money now for nothing...:(

In VLC mediaplayer : Could not open http:// etc In Chrome : server is currently down

I am the only one who hears the music. I don't get a failure message. The music url is set correctly in the sound tab of the land.
