  1. Oh my! I didn't think it would be possible, but you actually DID improve on the kitchen! And significantly so, even. 👍 Those large windows really ara amazing. You did a magnificent job!
  2. I really like what you did with both side rooms. ❤️ The whole scene is so delightful, and blends perfectly in with the adjacent rooms.
  3. Hmm, it seems like basically they added a (random?) delay for abandoned homes to become available again. A wise decision, IMHO, when ppl found a way to 'game' the system, after all. So, to answer your question, no, I have no real intention to find out. Sorry.
  4. Very well said. My thoughts exactly! Also, animated box, erm, why again?! Just clicking on it, to unpack, should suffice. No need to start an animation for a box you're about to delete (or will auto-delete itself) a few seconds later.
  5. (continued) And the intersecting big walls of the inner shell are now properly planarly aligned. And no more crappy, papier-mâché blinds. And, lastly, jusy for lolz, here's how OCD I really am. 😁 Do you see all those stairs steps? They ALL come with faux ambient occlusion, even when they touch the walls (like I did for the floors too):
  6. Now, before I continue, this is, strictly spoken, not my Bellisseria houseboat any more, but the recreation thereof on my own sim. Just want to show what vision I actually had in mind, when not prim-limited. I made some changes, most of which aren't all that radical, save for the floor, which I completely took out, and replaced with a dark, wooden one. I think it really helps 'ground' the build, and give it a constant feel of living inside the innards of a houseboat. Plus, it looks remarkably classy, in combination with the green and gold everywhere. I also did what I should have done from the get-go: instead of just flowers, that downward 'port hole', as a view into what lies below, now shows water, with a mermaid looking up through it. Again as a constant (artsy?) reminder we're actually living on a boat: As you could already see (in the above picture, to the left), the old breakfast table made its rentrée again (with matching brown blinds for the kitchen area): Opposite of the curved couch, a new item: a gorgeous mermaid shell seat (to stay in theme). In the back, you can see the old sea shell bathtub (which is now turned about 90 degrees, as the 2 shells can't really have the same orientation). And if you look closely, you'll see a turn table embedded inside the heightened plateau (behind the marble demilune table with the clock on it). Not that it absolutely needs to be there, LOL, but this was more a matter of "Couldn't do this on my old houseboat, so I'll do it here, just because I can.") Against the far wall, a small harpsichord: I had some creative fun with the Soy vanity table too, setting just about every face fully transparent, so as to give me 3 fancy, pinkish-rimmed vanity shelves, filled with many goodies, of course:
  7. Wow, you really did an amazing job there, with that kitchen! As if Blush's Wrap Around Porch wasn't brilliant enough already, you really added even to that! I love the rustic/half-retro style of that kitchen. And the radiator is a nice touch!
  8. Yes. That's why I said "with no way to enable it." Thing is, if they turn on per-parcel audio only, as default setting, then all those ppl who now don't know how to disable outward audio, will then not know how to enable it. Aka, they will have an awkward Bellisseria experience. Not against the idea per se; just saying they should be careful with things like that.
  9. Why, on a sim like Bellisseria, you really *want* to hear boats coming by, sea sounds, etc. I think it would get awkwardly quiet if all sound was restricted to parcel-only (with no way to enable it). I rather see ppl be made aware of the issues, and be asked to use sound responsibly. A notecard, as has been suggested, would indeed go a long way towards this goal.
  10. True. Having lived so long on my private island, I've been pretty much oblivious to many of those per-parcel settings, and their effect on 'others'.
  11. I'm really saddened to hear this. My dad always said, "Never let ppl push into a place you don't want to be at, or out of a place you DO want to be in." Yes, I read you kinda wanted a Traditional Home anyway, but it's still monumentally said to see a bully get away with it again. All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again. But it isn't right, and never will be.
  12. Ha! Just started reading this -- admittedly 'perilous' -- thread, but just wanted to say I find it very hard to believe you could have incurred any sort of forum penalty, as most everything I've read from you is often well-thought out, considerate, and very-to-the-pont. But I guess stranger things have happened.
  13. Thx. That puts my mind at ease. I've seen too many good ppl taken advantage of.
  14. Yes, that was the idea: to have and to hold my boat, and store it on my own sim, where no moth or dust can corrupt it. And, I'm no longer prim-limited, of course. I added tons of stuff to the interior already. But yeah, the other houseboats, they're kinda not there. 😍 I will need to construct a whole new marina for it, with yachts and everything. As for 'only 64 LI', hahahaha, no, only in my dreams. That was me moving the mouse out of the way, when I took the screenshot, causing it to hover over the hills envo. The whole build is 659 prim now; but, if I substract the 219 prim (of what the real houseboat costs), I'm currently at 440 LI for the interior. Still not half-bad, I think.
  15. Yeah, it was actually on the shopping sims I visted. And half the time, you run into a TP routing problem, after which FS (I suspect LL viewer too) will let you wait for a minute, only to disconnect you. I say there's room for improvement there.
  16. LOL. It's really a delight hearing from you, every time. ❤️ You are so joyful and bubbly, it's catchy. And you always manage to be truly 'in character' for the virtual world stuff. Always makes my day.
  17. I went and visited the SLB16 event sims. Oh my! 😶 What they need, is hardware 10x as powerful to run a sim like that at normal speed, LOL. I could hardly even move.
  18. That's a great airship! Didn't you have it on a chain somewhere? Also, I recall buying a birdy from her store. And now she's selling off everything at 0 LL. I hope someone didn't copybot her or anything, and deciding to just hand it out for free then (like the person now giving away the 'Basically Girl AO' for free). I should ask her.
  19. Since Bellisseria was meant to instill a renewed sense of community, perhaps they had musical gatherings/parties/campfires in mind, where music was supposed to leave the parcel? Only reason I can think of not to restrict sound to parcel.
  20. Mouselook is pretty limited. For one, you're leaving mouselook mode, at almost anything you do.
  21. This is one of my major gripes in SL as well (way beyond a 'pet peeve'): constantly having a wall inside my face, in small spaces.
  22. I'm not fully awake yet, I suppose, but on my private island, I have many parcels, each with their own radio station on it. I've never heard *anything* seep out, sound-wise, from a neighnboring parcel. In fact, when I fly outside a parcel with music on it playing, to an adjactent parcel with no radio station defined on it, it immediately gets silent. *Still a little confused here*.
  23. That's peculiar. This used to be the old system, where you cannot remove an encroaching object when its root is not on your parcel. But hadn't they changed that?! *Little confused here*. Maybe indeed @Patch Linden would be willing to clarify the matter?
  24. Why, thank you again for that wonderful vid... and the horse you rode in on. 😜 Seriously, thx for sharing. As for the parcels, you make an excellent point: what with so many trees and 'clutter' lying around, these almost have to be 512 plots (with 175 prim). And yes, I feel the outdoor furniture is an integral part of the scenery: would be a real shame if they didn't include it. But they probably did.
  25. Thank you for yet another lovely video. ❤️ They did an amazing job landscaping those hills. Almost looks inhabited already. P.S. Were you able to ascertain the prim allowance for these trailer parcels too? If not, that's okay, we'll find out soon enough.
