If your time is already limited do you really want to spend that time waiting for one or two lindens? There are still money trees and some of the coin/fishing games let you chase free money. I am really not sure what you get out of collecting 10L over a week though. The need to L$ is really overstated IMHO. I think the time is better spent on a really nice hunt.

I think LL is being pretty responsive on the OR. They already have working viewer tests, and are spending the time now to rethink how the ui needs to work for this new tool. I think LL had a working version months ago to be honest, just not one that's available to the public. With the number of people who seem to bash LL at the slightest drop of a hat I can't say I blame them.

All viewer as will implement chui in one form or another. You might watch what other third party developers do with it though as some are working on some changes to the default CHUI. Mirroring what the other reply said though, previous versions of Exodus are not SSA enabled and really cannot be used in SL anymore.

On the mainland you always pay for The highest tier you used in the previous month. So, if you have now abandoned the land you should not pay again next month. One thing that can get people though is if they had the land set to a group. You need to make sure to remove the tier you might have donated to a group. You still pay if it if donated, as if you still had the land. You can check that on the land tab in the group details.

If you do some searches around the internet you can find most if not all of the windlights from TPVs. You can load them into the standard viewer by copying them to either the viewer or user directory. Firestorm brings a few hundred settings in addition to the windlight...

Fruk and entente have skins which are defined but not over so. Certainly not the body builder look you see on others. Might be a start.

First, Lindens do not have any special powers to interact with your viewer. As to OOC or any chat, with RLV enabled your ability to chat, emote or IM may be restricted. If your ability to chat is removed you will not be able to chat in local even with the ooc commands because it is just chat. I suggest you talk with whoever is placing you under restriction and ask to be allowed to use local chat. At least speak with them to better understand your expections when you are restricted.

Owning land let's you choose your rules... So land owners kick anyone they feel violates their sense of what SL can be. Luckily, there are places where any avatar is welcome. (All avatars are welcome at my coffee shop). You just need to find the right places to hang out,

I did not read the whole thread so apologies for repeats. I would not say anything either. Each to there own when it comes to avatars. A few thoughts. Your computer makes a big difference in how things look. A lower spec computer can make the nicest new mesh look about as good as a 3 year old freebie. What you might do is scope around for hunts or groups gifts that look nice and plan a shopping day. Nicer freebies abound, even for shoes. Most of all though, just best to keep people in world. Leave the judgments to others and enjoy each others company. We all looked horrid at one point in our SL lives.

I do a similar thing to you. I have multiple regions and they are parceled. Before the tier date I Limit sell and get as close to tier as possible....BUT.. I have been doing this for about 2 years and it ALWAYS deducts any short fall from Paypal without issue. I would work with billing, not support, on why the account listed for land purchases is not being used when needed.

Yes land is the one thing in SL that you really cannot get for free. I would suggest that maybe joing a roleplay or other group that has things that might feel like a home.

And for anyone working with others, we have been saving the files we are working on out to Google Drive. When we want to see in world anyone in our group can rez a copy of what we are working on and grab the texture from Google Drive. It is a little slower to see updates, but works well for sharing when needed.

You want to max your cache if you have the disk space, which most people do. The bigger your catch the less likely you need to download things a second time. Bandwidth is harder. The firestorm team suggests setting it to more than 1500 or 80% of your bandwidth which ever is lower. Wireless connections should be lower. I don't think this band width setting affects http speed. So most of what you do in SL is not limited by this throttle normally.

I spoke to live chat support about this today. It is a known bug. Friends show on your friend list but if you look at the profile it still shows add friend and you cannot do things you would normally do for friends like grant map or edit permissions.

Check out fruk and Entente, I think both of these have nice skins. Shapes are really up to the eye so look around. I like AnnA for a less "bulky" male shape. The faces on her shapes have a bit of an asian feel to them I think, but that can be adjusted easy enough if you dont like.

You might look at Pink Fuel. The have a bio add on for their skins that uses a tattoo layer to make a more femboi appearance.
