The UK will be in transition from 31st January until 31st December, so I imagine exchange rates could be a bit wobbly for a while. I myself went a bit wobbly over land recently, for reasons which I'm not allowed to discuss, though they have nothing to do with Brexit. I'm also disabled, @Michaelatv Destiny, and have to consider my options, but really, you are the one in control of what you do to face changing circumstances. Calling on LL to make changes to benefit you is optimistic at best.

How do I delete a forum post?
Garnet Psaltery replied to MaisyDrew's topic in General Discussion Forum
I'd advise you not to add anything to it. It was posted on 19th January and isn't visible on the first page of ads. It's unlikely anyone will see it now, and if you force it to the front merely to say it's gone then you'll annoy people looking for a parcel. -
Simply being good is not in itself a draw unless there is a method of bringing that goodness to enough potential visitors/customers to sustain the region. If they are solely people who view Flickr photos and are interested in the genre and happen to see those photos then your potential visitors/customers are unlikely to be sufficient.

*mentally removes the fifth word* Old building stands alone By the way, no-one needs to feel bad about making a mistake. I know they can happen in a flurry of inspiration. When I play that game where you're supposed to make your comment and then supply feed words for the next person, I often forget to do so.

How are you feeling today?
Garnet Psaltery replied to Beth Macbain's topic in General Discussion Forum
I've never been attracted by sports. Apart from compulsory school sports, the closest I've got to it is watching the dancey versions of ice skating or half-listening to golf or motor racing on tv (ex-husband's choices) while doing something else, or very occasionally admiring cricketers in action (I never really follow a match but they look lovely and manly). Anyway I'm a bit OT, for which I blame the Cabernet Sauvignon. More to the topic, I'm aware that V-Day is approaching, and I know there'll be no cards for me in either life so perhaps we unattached can gather somewhere on that day and get virtually or actually sozzled. -

It sounds human, and we understand. -
If your avatar was in a band...
Garnet Psaltery replied to Bree Giffen's topic in General Discussion Forum
My band would play deeply meaningful (if you could fathom the meaning) retro-synth-goth-classical music incorporating early music instruments and narrators. We'd be cult favourites, shunning the light and publicity, and making almost no money. More successful bands would re-interpret what we do. We'll grow old and insane, and utter incantations from the top turret of a ruinous castle that a devotee lets us camp in, until one night the angels descend and pick us up one by one. -
And here's one for Second Life.

@rayyn I took a look at your profile and it wasn't horrible If it helps, most of my friends are in touch but don't often want to do things. I like my own company quite a bit too. Also I'm older than you.

What’s The Story Behind Your Avatar Name?
Garnet Psaltery replied to Saravendi's topic in Your Avatar
Thank you for your story. As for using avatar names, well, I suppose that shows a certain depth of immersion or involvement, like being called 'Skipper' on a ship. I'd feel odd being called by my real name while Garnet does what she does (besides I'm not sure she fully approves of me anyway). -
How are you feeling today?
Garnet Psaltery replied to Beth Macbain's topic in General Discussion Forum
I'm feeling a bit more optimistic. My brain has been very busy processing things in dreams and I wake up feeling drugged but I think this is temporary.
