I believe she was thinking about poses that can be used as AO stands but those that are not moving your avatar too much. For a while I wanted same but gave up searching.

Here is what I do... Imagine I have 20 items rezzed on a small corner of the land. I will select them all and just shift+drag up in the air, this will create a copy of the whole group of objects. Then I link them together and see if land impact is lower. If it is, I can delete that copy and link the original group, if it didn't I will just delete the group and move on. Also concerning the scripted items, for example trees that change with season, I delete all scripts inside those.

I like your stuff You can invest in a good manager that will advertise your store so you can focus on creating new products. Or you can save up for future because soon you will need a bigger land with more prims. You can buy an ad space in magazines.

Hello Dakota, I don't know what to say. I have reported the item few weeks ago so I am not able to do it again. I have said it in my first post and included a screenshot to show it. After the item was reported I hoped the merchant will change the price or the wording. Nothing happened, no change. I am now sorry that I tried to ask, because only answer I got from you was that my post wasn't even read. Have a nice day.

To Sassy; I was thinking that inflated price is every price not same as in-world? There should be some kind of explanation because as it is right now, each of us can understand it in our own way? Perrie can you define large or excessive amount? ChinRey yes it hurts everyone... I understand there is no perfect system and there are tools anyone can use to point out to little imperfections. Whats stopping me from inflating my prices? Or selling empty boxes? Drake right now SL Marketplace is considered a site where you can sell stolen goods and get away with it, it is a shame to read the TOS of some websites and realize things have gone so far that they had to write it down, right there in their terms of service, that selling their products in SL is not allowed!

Words mean nothing when the system doesn't work. Here are 2 photos for you, can you please reply how it is possible that merchant is breaking SL Marketplace listing guidelines with each item from the shop? Prices are set higher on the Marketplace than in-world shop and, unlike other merchants who keep quiet about it, this states it right there in the listing description.  This is one of the listings, as you can see I already flagged it. Nothing happened.  This is a highlight of the Guidelines. So how can I say that fraud is never okay?

So you are looking for someone to let you rezz your building on their land and setup a museum there? What would you offer in exchange? Maybe it would be better to post this in adult part of the forum

Forget the land for now, it is completely fine for a new brand to sell only on the MP, when you have enough earnings to afford not only land but also a nice quality building and store furniture and maybe even something to decorate the outside of the building and have enough money to survive few months of low sales - then you can rent in-world shop. Until then, focus on creating more products and creating a presence for your brand. And I like your stuff, for real, forget that 1L$ pricing, it makes you look like a cheater, or someone not serious about what they are doing. Good luck!

You can and I believe you should try. A thing that most people here forget is that every big renter started from the bottom, I believe it is kinda wrong to compare big names and someone who didn't even started the business, you simply can't. Don't be too romantic, don't expect earnings, focus on the image of the land. What you want to offer to the people? If its just blank land, something we see on every possible parcel for rent then don't even try! But if you have an idea, if you are into some specific lifestyle or you have the whole image in your mind then you should do it! Something that always sells (I used to rent just for fun) is beautifully landscaped parcel with an empty house so your renters can put their own furniture. Don't use the math. Don't count how you can put 5 houses/platforms and give 200 prims to each and rent it for xy amount of lindens. No. If you do it right, if you manage to create attractive land money will become less important. You need houses, trees, flowers, bushes, rocks, walls, some romantic stuff... everything top quality from the well known brands. Make your future renters feel special and priviledged, show that you spent 100 hours just to landscape the land in an unique way. Show them you offer things of such quality that they most likely will not buy in ages. Rent systems are not a big deal, you can buy one in a matter of minutes... You need a weather system, seasoned trees and other nature things, snow. Strict rules, notecard to put in a rent box. Then you need to make ads and a bigger amount of audience to place them these ads, here you can either work hard to create your own or use someone else's, up to you. Another important thing you need is to make yourself - your avatar to look like someone who knows how to do business, someone with good reputation and style.

Classic avatars are part of the past, these days everyone buys body parts and wears them - you can buy a whole body (mesh bodies like for example Maitreya or SLink are just 2 brands) or just a certain body part - head, feets, hands. These body parts are not modifyable so for example if you and your friend bought mesh heads from the same brand you would look like twins. In order to fit the mesh body part we wear an alpha layer - something that hides the classic avatar's body, either the whole body (full body alpha) or just certain parts. Even some clothing parts come with their own alpha layers and you are supposed to wear that layer and the clothing. I recommend you to take some time and search through the Marketplace, if an item is available in-world there will also be the link saying "See item in-world" at the bottom of every Marketplace listing. ALWAYS try demo before you spend money on an item because refunds are usually not given if an item comes in the demo version. If you want to stick with the classic avatar shape you will have to search for items made specifically for classic avatars. When you want to buy something, read the description and if something isn't clear try to Google it - one great thing about SL is that there are tons of tutorials and explanations about everything! Also feel free to ask here too

I was attending Visionaire photography classes. Just use SL search to find them. Also, you can always go on Youtube and watch numerous tutorials about all kinds of subjects photograhy related. Good luck

Keyword spam is one of the biggest reasons people avoid shopping on the marketplace. It is also reason for removing certain products from the Marketplace and even the termination of the SL account! There is detailed information in the SL MARKETPLACE LISTING GUIDELINES section - https://marketplace.secondlife.com/listing_guidelines Any person can open a certain product page on the Marketplace and, after making sure that this item is in the violation of the Guidelines, go Flag this item -> Listing Violations -> Spam or dissalowed listing practices -> Keyword spam (under "Detailed reason) If anyone doesn't know how to check what keywords (and some other infos) did the merchant write for a certain product, this is how you do it in Chrome: open a certain product's MP page right click anywhere on the page and chose "Check" (or use the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+I) Chose "Network" in the top bar of the little window that shows up Click F5 to refresh the page Click on the first icon from the huge list of little documents iconsthat showed up on the left side Look in the right window and scroll down until you come to the part that says "<meta name="keywords" content"

I got annoyed with that too so I stopped packing scripts and holding poses in my vendors. I make my vendors to be worn as HUDs, this way person can unpack anywere, they will not accidentally lose a bracelet or some clothing part (if they chose wear instead of add) and they get less items to delete later.

I have an idea you can try for in-world; First I would update the buildings and city streets, then I would change the windlight into night or some darker one. Have street lamps be the only lighted areas on the streets. Create rain in one area, place different city sounds all around, rezz some garbage, old crates, broken doors and benches... make it so that as soon as the person lands they get that certain feeling of danger and mistery. Make them ask what the f.. happened here? Make them want to hide but at the same time sneak around and discover whats around the corner. Remove those mesh avatars and hire real people to hang out there, let them live in those appartments for rent, make it so that only the hottest avatars can be hired. Give them assignments (for example make it so that hired people need to have an active Facebook or Flickr account, make photos while playing your games and post them on their social sites), hire more people to check them and make sure they work well, create some artificial traffic that will attract the real one (it is no different than placing those ugly fishing things that attract only noobs and bots). Organize a hunt or a photo contest at your place, to celebrate "the xy day" and advertise it all around. Please remember that when it comes to events it doesn't matter what kind of event you are having, look at it like one more chance to post everywhere and market your product. Even this post here is great advertising opportunity, so far you have over 300 people who saw that you sell games.

Concerning the actual search, which gives the relevance to words in merchants names, names of their shops, I am interested to find out how do you "weed them out"? I remember there was something about it when people were complaining how DEMO items show up and someone said what to write in search in order to avoid demos. Now I want to know what to write and how to write it so that I don't get certain merhcant? To be precise, I was searching the Appareal inside the fantsy community and there is this Eli's Fantasy Outfits and it seems I am seeing her entire store on the main page...

There is a long way from "I want to market my products" through "I am doing some marketing" to "I found a marketing method that works best for me". In SL, many merchants go through that way all alone. It means you will have to sit down, do some research and slowly start to test different marketing methods, one by one, in order to find what works best for you as a person and for your specific products. For me, what proved good with one business did not work well with another one but one thing I know, what works great with every one is to cover as many methods as I can. But I'm human not robot, lazy human to be honest lol Start with your friends and random people, reserve one day during the week when you will make your avatar look great (great means hot, sexy, stylish, modern stuff bought at well known places) and go out, dance, explore, try to find some busy places and meet new people. Attract people, make friends, have fun. Real fun. Every person you meet will ask you what you do in SL and you can say that you create adventure games. Sounds great! Invite your new friend to try it with you. Or just send them a copy of the game. If they message you later to say they have tried it and its great, or you see them at this certain place - great, means the game is well accepted! If not, means you will have to work more on the game or find some new people to play it. Is it one person or two people game? I did not find this info on any of your marketplace products or here in this thread. Do I play this game alone or can have fun with my friend, boyfriend, lover? Is the game good to plan it for a fun date with someone? Or to spend a family afternoon together? Can I play it more than one time? Do I have to pay 200L$ for each person that wants to play the game? Do I get some kind of reward at the end? Why do each of your games have same text? Only first sentence is different, rest is just copy/paste. You are losing so much there, think of how many keywords you missed to use. Why don't you have some website where I can find out more about the games, maybe read a tutorial, see some interesting snapshots? Read comments from people who played it? Or find out what made you go into this adventure? How hard is to create this kind of a game? Besides Madpea and you, is there anyone else doing something like that? Is the game appropriate for kids (does it have anything to do with sex? sex is fun!)

I am sorry Phil, that I did not manage to quote the correct part of your post and therefore didn't manage to get you to read and maybe even reply to what I wrote, besides stating that I quoted your wrong part. I guess I tried for nothing. IMHO only part that IS wrong at your side is the one you refuse to change, no matter how many people said that the change is inevitable. But oh well, I guess for standing all alone at the platform it doesn't really matter how your part looks like I will not try anymore, have a nice day

I have TMP body for my guy alt but didn't play with him for a while now... not sure how it is now.... There is one guy I have on my Fb (he also creates smoking products, kill me I can't remember his name or brands atm) that makes mesh bodies and he has both male and female ones, I plan to try the male body because it looks pretty good! TMP is annoying with their giant HUDs and I was always getting lost in their store, I did buy everything possible for both male and female but gave up soon after other bodies flooded the market.
