  1. 2. Hello, yes you can use llSitTarget to change the sit target of the 'teleporter' prim, so that the avatar 'sits' on the new desired location, and then use llUnSit to make him stand up there.
  3. Hello, in case you're using WIFI or any other non-wired internet connection, try using a wired LAN at least for the first time you log in. The Second Life viewer does not officially support WIFI. Please try the official viewer from http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/ (in case you downloaded it a while ago, please go back to that page and download the latest version). What happens when you press 'Continue'? Use the option 'Options->Edit' at the top of this page to answer. ETA: Also make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card, although that shouldn't be the cause of your current issue.
  4. Hello Shiekuna, did you recently re-activate that account? If so, please go to http://support.secondlife.com/create-case and create a support ticket, and tell them that you reactivated your account and ask them nicely to run the inventory repair scripts over your account. Can you login with said account to Aditi? (Enable the Grid selection under Me->Preferences->Advanced->Show Grid selection at login and choose 'Second Life Beta Test Grid (Aditi)' before logging in. Also try logging in with a different viewer ( https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory ) and if nothing helps try a clean install (uninstall all viewers and remove all settings-directories manually, also Third Party Viewers, reboot your computer, and install the viewer again), see: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Clean_Install (make sure you save your chatlogs from C:\Users\(yourusername)\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife ). Good luck. To answer please use the Options->Edit option from the top of this page.
  5. Make sure you are running the latest version of the viewer, download it here: http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/
  6. Hallo Ric, update bitte deinen Grafikkarten-Treiber, und probiere es dann nocheinmal: Nvidia Video Driver Latest driver ATI Video Driver Latest driver Intel Video Driver Intel driver download page
  7. Hello, please try it again in a couple of hours or go to a main server release simulator, because the RC regions are currently undergoing maintenance: [postED] Rolling Restarts RC ChannelsPosted by Status Desk on March 19th, 2013 at 05:32 pm PDT"[Posted 5:30pm PDT, 19 March 2013] We will be performing rolling restarts for regions on Magnum, BlueSteel and LeTigre RC server channels. They will begin on Wednesday, March 20, at approximately 7:00am PDT. Please refrain from rezzing no copy objects, making inworld L$ transactions and remember to save all builds. For more information about the specific RC server channels, please refer to the links below: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Beta/BlueSteel http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Beta/LeTigre http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Beta/Magnum"
  8. Hello Anawigi, do you still have that problem? Please follow the steps from there, http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Direct-Delivery-Migration-FAQ/m-p/1923527#M32663 the only hints that I can give you is: download and install the project viewer, and don't forget to EMPTY your trash before you try it with that! If it doesn't work, you'll need to contact support at http://support.secondlife.com/contact-support Q: I am getting told that I need to Create a Store, but I already am a Merchant. How do I get the Merchant Outbox to work? A: Use our Merchant Outbox Project Viewer to repair your Merchant Outbox. Here are the steps to follow with this project viewer: Download and log in to the project viewer. Select Me->Merchant Outbox. After the outbox has initialized, add a test item to the Merchant Outbox by dragging it to the Outbox. Click Send to Marketplace. If you you see the items removed from the Merchant Outbox and added to your unassociated inventory on the marketplace, your Merchant Outbox has been fixed. You may now go back to using your viewer of choice (as long as it supports the Merchant Outbox.) If you get a success message, but your items have stayed in your Merchant Outbox, do the following:Move the item from your Merchant Outbox to your main inventory. Find your Trash folder in your inventory, and right click to Empty Trash Move your test item back to the Merchant Outbox and click Send to Marketplace again. Your items should be removed from your Merchant Outbox and appear in Unassociated Inventory Items on the Marketplace. You may now go back to using your viewer of choice (as long as it supports the Merchant Outbox.) If none of the above work, please submit a support case.
  9. Hello, make sure that you have all checkboxes enabled in menu Me->Preferences->Setup->Web and select 'use built-in browser' Also make sure that the slplugin.exe application is not blocked (and / or whitelisted) in your antivirus / firewall software. Then type the name of the resident in at the address bar of the viewer (the big address bar at the top of the viewer window) Also you can just use the search on the web site after logging in! The search is on this page for example (you get there when you log in from www.secondlife.com ) : https://secondlife.com/my/index.php?lang=en-US at the top right.
  10. Hello, Linden Lab - as far as I know - doesn't keep chat logs, they only have server logs, and they get deleted automatically after a couple of days. You'll have to nicely ask the people that you've been talking to, if they could send you a copy of their logs, or find some service in real-life that offers to restore data (the correct term for that is "Data recovery") from your broken computer. Good luck!
  11. Hello Naketia, if you use one of the Second Life Viewers from this list: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory ...then the answer is NO, your master can NOT read your IMs, as this would be against the Linden Lab ToS and the Policy of Third Party viewers. Anyways, if you are using any other viewer, then it would be technically possible that someone does that. What a master can do if you're using RLV, is he can block you from communicating via IMs.
  12. Hello, what's wgs? To answer, please click Options->Edit at the top of the page. Thanks!
  13. Hello Rosie, can you reproduce the issue on another account? If not, the best will be to contact support directly: http://support.secondlife.com/contact-support If you can reproduce the issue with another account, then I suggest (if you want to skip the step of contacting support) that you create a bugreport at http://jira.secondlife.com To me this looks like a new bug, and I haven't seen it being reported before.
  14. Hello Tika, did you also empty your trash before you tried it?
  15. If you delete something in-world (right-click -> delete), it goes into your Trash folder in inventory.
  16. Hello Miles, only sim-owners (or estate-managers) can access that, they have the option to download the terrain-RAW-files from the estate-management-tools. So you should ask any of the estate managers to do that. If that's not an option, then I recommend to use Jathra Vanmoer's Land Map, which can measure your land fully-automated, and create mesh or sculpt maps of your land/parcel of any size you want. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/LandMap-Change-your-ground-texture-without-land-powers/236734 Or ask a friend who already has Land Map. Good luck!
  17. Hello, I'm not sure what search you're talking about, there are several on the website and in the Second Life viewer. In case you mean the in-world search, make sure you have all checkboxes checked under Me->Preferences->Setup->Web-> "Use built-in-browser" (enable that one, too) If that doesn't help, please click at 'options->edit' at the top of this page, and explain what search you are talking about in detail please. Tyvm!
  18. Hello, clear your cache, then relog, then let your inventory fully load, and look in your lost & found folder. Check all items there, when something gets returned it often comes into the lost & found folder as a 'coalesced object', with the name of only one of the items you had rezzed, so go to a sandbox, rez all coalesced objects from your lost & found folder, and see if the item that you're missing is part of one of them. See also: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_to_retrieve_coalesced_items ETA: If you deleted your house then it would be in your 'Trash' folder.
  19. Hello rhonin, Mesh uploads will work everwhere on Aditi, just use the map to find other regions and sandboxes. Try "balance" for example.
  20. Hello, try another browser. Or check your browser-addons. It seems something is blocking some connections from the website.
  21. Hi Ele, that's a known issue on RC Magnum regions. They are already working on that. It should go away if you teleport to a main server region.

Hello, in order to help, you need to tell us what viewer and version your friend uses, also where (grid and region) he tested it. Your friend can find all that information in the viewer under Help-> About Second Life. Please use the options->edit menu at the top of this page, to add the missing information. Thanks ETA: This looks to me like a very well known bug when your friend uses a secondary monitor to bake his avatars. Tell him to rebake (press CTRL+ALT+R) with the viewer on his primary monitor.
