Bellisseria's 5th Anniversary Community Photo Gallery

Over the course of five years, Bellisseria has provided a virtual platform for creativity, exploration, and self-definition. This unique space has drawn individuals from various corners of the world, each contributing their distinct experiences and skills to mold this community into a thriving world. Within this world, we have forged new friendships, unearthed new interests, embarked on exciting adventures, and created lasting memories.

We extend an invitation for you to share these cherished memories with us. In honor of Bellisseria’s 5th Anniversary, we have established the Bellisseria Community Gallery. This gallery is a testament to the memories we have collectively created in Bellisseria over the past half-decade. These memories have transformed a virtual world into a vibrant community of residents. We look forward to continuing this journey of creation and exploration together.

Share your Bellisseria Community memories with us! All PG friendly images are welcome. We will review the pictures and vet them for addition to the Bellisseria Community Gallery. All photos must have been taken in the Bellisseria Community, Photos of avatars must include some scenery of Bellisseria or their Linden homes in the photo. We want photos taken from between April of 2019 to current date.

By sharing your picture(s) with us, you are giving us your permission to display the pictures at Bellisseria's 5th Anniversary celebration. In addition, you are also permitting us to use your pictures in any future Linden Lab hosted events or for Second Life marketing purposes. Please make sure your photos are either 512 minimum size or 1024 maximum size and full permission.  You can drop off your photos at 1 of the following 3 locations within Bellisseria. Bellisseria residents ask your questions to Patch and the Moles. A Q&A Event.

We cordially invite all residents of Bellisseria to participate in a unique opportunity to engage with Patch Linden and the Moles in a Question and Answer session. This event, hosted by Strawberry Linden, is part of the Bellisseria 5th Anniversary celebration. The session will be live-streamed, allowing for broader participation from those who may not be able to attend in person.

We request that your questions be concise and contextually simple, with a maximum length of two sentences. Please submit your questions by February 15th, 2024, at one of the designated Community Center locations. Inworld says 512x512 or 1024x1024 -- so all photos must be square, no rectangle shots (512x1024)?  Bummer, my best scenery shots are all rectangles and no square version looks as nice.

The wrong note card was sent out then. Min size of 512 and max size of 1024. Your rectangle photos are perfectly fine.

YAY - Thanks.

It is the sign next to the mailbox that says they must be 512x512 or 1024x1024 -- the one in Randelsham Forest, though likely all of them are using the same signs

Thank you for pointing that out. I will get that fixed this weekend. And fixed now.

Photo submissions are coming in nicely! Please keep dropping off your photos. We want and need more.

We need more questions to ask Patch and the Moles. We know you all have LOTS of questions, so please write out your question and drop it into one of the mailboxes. Thank you! 😉

I doubt gifs are acceptable!  From 2021, right after chalet release.

You'll have to forgive this ursine nautch dance, I think she was just really attracted to the chalet bears.  🐻

(And yes, that is the bear avatar LL gave out at SL10B.  )

Excuse me, another size question.  I take my pics to disk, so they all need to be resized anyway to be smaller.  I'm assuming that they also need to be cropped to be 1:1 or 1:2 ratios, so that when they're uploaded they look correct?

Or can they be another ratio, like 3:2?  If so, should we put their actual size in the pic title?  e.g. "Limestone 12-Dec-2021   1024 x 683"?

ETA: nevermind, I'll make all dimensions a multiple of 512.  You don't need to mess with individual pics that much.

Do you need one notecard per image, or can we put a few images in one notecard (with the relevant information required for each)?

Also, when dropping notecards there's no confirmation or anything in chat, so I did it more than once as it's not clear if I dropped the notecard correctly or not - so you may get multiples...

I did one notecard per photo - also if you look at the mailbox contents it should show your stuff inside it or at least it worked for me!

It's easier to sort out one image per note card but you are welcome to put multiples on a single note card. Please send your image in the appropriate dimensions you want it viewed as. i.e. square or rectangular.

Ah, good, thanks, Mini!  Am I right in assuming that you're not ALL that interested in shots of landscapes, just as the moles built them?  I take many beautiful Belli shots, but probably you already have a LOT of those!

Most of my images are not great "community" pics, because my old rig tends to fail to rez if a bunch of avatars are around.  If I take a pic of 6 avatars playing around at Treeowatoor, random things will be grayed out.  Plus, I don't go to a lot of gatherings, since I'm generally on during SL night.  So a lot of my shots are more contemplative, just one or 2 avatars sitting around.  I'll send a few of those.

Maybe a few oddball landscape shots, too.  Just to give you a chuckle!

We welcome all photos from residents of their Bellisseria experiences and memories.  Landscapes are most certainly welcomed and desired as much as photos of individuals or groups enjoying their own outings and moments in the Bellisseria community.

I'd be surprised if it still is given recent events, but would be happy to be proved wrong.

Perhaps they'll pre-record it, using the questions are chosen from those submitted (deadline was 15 Feb before the hoo-ha), rather than a free for all questioning session (I assume). There's nothing in the event HUD showing a Q&A session.

I can't see the photo gallery of the photos submitted (unless it's not out until open day) - if anyone knows where this is please let me know:)

I've had a peak at the region and it's looking great! Looking forward to all the events. The Event HUD is great, really useful:)

Wow, I hope they will announce new home styles for "regular" Premium  users. It's been so long since we've had a new home style, that I'm getting bored with what's available. I know, first world problems.

New and smaller logs, I would love that (I think logs and stilts are the only ones that haven't been updated)
