That would leave a lot less potential partners for those who actually are. It's been my observation over the years that it is the same ones that keep picking the one's that turn out to be men. They must be attracted to that type the same way as certain people get attracted to those who have substance abuse issues in RL.

It has simply my experience here, over nearly 20 years.  It's a running joke amongst lesbians in 2nd life.

We even have an example here on the forum -- 2 men pretending to be women, and then getting into a relationship with each other (they thought the other was a lesbian), only to discover they were both actually men.
