Skybox obsession

Who else is fascinated by skyboxes? What are your favorite small shops that create skyboxes? I love the larger creators like Veronis and Onsu, but I'm looking for smaller creators. Right now I'm living in a small snow cabin by Hive. It's really beautifully made with ceiling beams and a massive bay window with a free surround.

Please share your favorite small creators! I know nothing by the way. This is all new to me ^^

The big reason I use skyboxes is that the lag is typically pretty bad at ground level. I make simple homes in Blender for that purpose.

This Bueno skybox is 18LI and cost 200 lindens. It's the perfect size for me to have over my Linden Home. Fully finished on the inside. Bueno also has some larger skyboxes on the marketplace.  http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/TMD/82/5/21

I don't have a skybox obsession, but I do have a general "Oh boy, I love decorating so much! Oh no I used all my prims oh noes lemme take all this back down and put up a smaller home that takes up fewer prims and then redecorate with fewer prims so I can save some prims! Oh no I still used all my prims lemme just take all that down and put up a new home that costs more prims so I'm less tempted to use too many prims and try again!" obsession. So...sort of? I bounce between full houses and skyboxes when the mood hits.

As for favorite stores, I'm kind of hooked on A.T. Design. Some models are a bit older, but they include gorgeous panorama views with like 300 different scenes (if they support the extra scenery upgrade) and weather n stuffs, and I'm totally in love with THAT. Only downside - if you join the group in-world to get the freebies and extra views, you can never leave and rejoin, so it's a permanent group slot taken up. Still worth it, tho, if you like their stuffs. I use them unfurnished and usually mod them before adding my own furniture - they tend to be kind of huge, though, hence my "oh no, I'm using too many prims, time to remodel again!" thing.

Oh, and definitely check the demos in-world. The MP photos don't do them justice. They are pretty cozy. Especially the one with the sauna that I refuse to let myself buy (because who needs an entire sauna + fitness studio in a skybox?!).

I use several small skyboxes from LUX AETERNA as my home in the sky, and have them connected by experience teleporters through the doorways. Really stunning builds.

Oh, man!  You guys are speakin' my lingo today!  I have both of the ones that Chaireschen mentions above and will try to restrain myself from trotting out every skybox ever in my inventory but hafta share some faves:

Haven't done an actually skybox in a couple.of years.  The last one was a small house from Trompe Loeil that I put inside a Mirror Box with an invisible prim just under the water.so I could go in and out of the house and had some landscaping.
