For me, the ideal houseboat is...

* On a 16 x 64 size parcel, not a square one. The reason being that on a square one, either 2 or all of the available houseboat designs will have your main view window pointing at your next-door neighbours.

* Has some adjacent beach

* Is on the coast of a larger landmass, not a sandbar or small island

I've had four houseboats so far and none of them have met even one of those conditions, never mind all three. 

Out of your choices there, my favourites would probably be Ness, or maybe Pearlcoast, and the ones I'd be most keen to ditch would be Morden and Castoff.

That's what I found out, too, @Karly Kiyori that the 16 x 64 work better for me for the houseboat styles. My only differing criteria is that I prefer green landscaping. Pearlcoast has topped my list, even before it had a name. I haven't managed to get there yet.
