rheannarobyn68 Braveheart Posted October 2, 2012 Share Posted October 2, 2012 I am asking for advise I have a SSL stalker who has gone so far he entered my RL an made me lose my job no I never met him is RL,,, in SSL he has taken a porn picture n put my RL face on it an sent it to every group I was in ,,,,,,, he has made my SSL a living hell I have sent several tickets in an have never gotten one response he has also taken my name over he has taken every picture an saying I had in my profile an put it in one of his avis he has several avis I have begged for help I am at my wits ends it is affecting my RL health I thought SSL was to have fun an meet nice people but it's been almost 2 years an I can't even come in SSL anymore I get nasty MIS from people he sent the picture to ,,, I am becoming quite fed up with this since I have reported this several times an still nothing happens please someone tell me what I can do he has made my SSL so bad I hate going in so any advise would be much neededTY RHEANNAROBYN68 BRAVEHEART Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also, if you live in the states, the FBI. If you live somewhere else, your countries equivalent. You may also need a lawyer to help you get a restraiing order against him. If you still want to log into SL, you could always create a new avi and start fresh. He won't know you and he won't be able to harrass you. I agree with others here....if this has reached such a point then you should contract RL authorities. Meanwhile, mute and DO NOT engage in any contact with this person. Such people thrive on attention so you take that away and they soon lose interest. There are any number of ways to handle this in sl but the best is to mute and ignore. Him and anybody else that feeds into the issue. As for anyone in any group that would send you a nasty IM as the result of another person passing photos is also worthy of mute and ignore. IMO, if it were me to receive photos I would most likely IM the person sending the photo. But really 2 years? I'm actually surprised you are concerned about SL when you say he caused the loss of your RL job. Meanwhile, this is the internet and the #1 rule is to be careful whom you share any RL into with. Rival Destiny Posted October 2, 2012 Share Posted October 2, 2012 Most definitely. Although we don't know how this person obtained the RL info on the OP, nor how he managed to have her lose her job. There really is very little someone can do to another person physically in SL, RL is another story & I'd certainly be much more concerned about my RL than my SL. Perhaps the OP means that they had to leave their job due to stress over this situation and that is how they lost their job? BTW, EVERYONE'S camera in SL goes EVERYWHERE unless a lot is specifically set up to not allow camming in. His "I run the cameras" comment was roleplaying. And if someone says they work for SL and their last name isn't "Linden" it almost guarantees that they don't. 3) After looking at YOUR profile... *facepalm* What you put in your profile is your prerogative but you need to face the consequences. Years ago when I had my first sim & I made it into a little commercial seaside community, I had them to monitor my store rentals while I was way up working in my shop. They don't 'stream' video to you in the traditional sense of the word. You can lock your camera on any Avatar and follow them as long as they are within your draw distance. It wasn't like you could watch someone from several SIMs away. The limit is the maximum draw distance (which I think is 1024M, but I could be wrong on that).
