  1. Yeah. They took away aspects of the curves that I liked, and it just didn't have the same appeal. Freya was largely "tossed" because of a few flaws that the maker stated he was not able to fix without breaking clothes compatibility. Ok, fine. But the new body that replaced it could have been 99% the same, with just the fixes, and a caution that "some old freya items will no longer fit this new body. Supposedly one of these is a 'bump' up near the top of the torso close to the neck - but I can't find it right now. Maybe it was this but I'm not sure:
  2. I had to google that. I had no idea 'maths' was a proper spelling anywhere, and always assumed it wer dem folks is can't speil nut'n when dey dun wrote dat. turns out 'math' is only the correct spelling in the US and Canada. Do folks over there in somewhere else land pronounce the 's' on the end?
  3. Good lord I hope so. They have nice things, but those blokes loves to burn 173 land impact on a flat 2x4 stick of wood.
  4. I believe that as long as you can't be seen from outside the parcel - adult furniture can be placed and used "outdoors". If not, we all need to AR about half of Belli. As for the Putin thing - that specific example is curious because Belli is full of people flying Ukrainian flags. I think I had one as well on a prior parcel. Convex to reduce land impact: I do that all the time. But my real trick is that I link everything I can that won't break how a script works - then select all but the root prim as type 'none' - then I go back and pick convex of prim for things that I feel need to have a collision to them when I'm walking around. And I also use math to make everything 1:1 scale to what google tells me is the 'standard dimensions' for that kind of object. These tricks combined let me near double or more how much "junk" I have out.
  5. Good question. I did attach the legacy version of 'Phat P' and it fit seamlessly. But I'd have to grab a legacy demo to compare.
  6. I think a LOT of people will have this issue with any new body. But I also think Bombshell is hitting a mostly untapped market: A thinner bottom on a busty top as an officially supported item. reBorn is "almost" this, but it's bottom is more fuller (but does dial down to almost freya levels). However if someone wanted a thin frame body with a busty look - bombshell is now it. Not saying it does a great job of it (I didn't mess with the demo enough to decide), but they are trying to wedge into an unsaturated part of the demand. However if you were not looking for that kind of look - the body has no value and the existing choices are very well supported so there's a lot of 'why bother'.
  7. I thought the difference was almost perfectly equal. And that was the issue. That it's really just a 'chest mod' with the remainder being unchanged. Waifu and Mounds are exactly to that - to the point that you can rez them out, rez out reborn, and unlink the visually obvious parts of reBorn that they replace, then either link waifu / mounds or just wear them independently - with no seams. And the comments have been implying Bombshell is either this, or changes even more.
  8. Yeah. As your image shows this kind of problem is much older than Zindra: - Even very simple coastlines around these would be nice. The one on the right there, Shermerville, had it's coast on it's west added only about 10 years ago. So there was a plan at one point to do something about this stuff.
  9. It's been so long and there are even older parts of 'traditional mainland' that just end without a coastline. So I don't expect to see even that. Wishful thinking though, I'm willing to engage in. But we all know it won't actually happen.
  10. I'd be overjoyed if they used an A-rated Belli addon as an excuse to finish the Zindra coastlines - putting to one or more of the sides of Zindra. And then maybe making those spot in Zindra that got 'abandoned' when the lindens pulled out a decade ago into spots zindra and A-Belli residents could rent for events like some of the Belli community zones. That said... it'd be a curious guess as to what housing theme they'd use there. A new one, or a rehash of one of the existings (and it just feels like Victorian is the perfect choice for a kinky Belli ).
  11. Yeah. And really the same for Zindra. But it seems like every time LL does some effort to get active in the community people squabble over it, and so often the opportunity gets lost. We know it can go right though. Bay City has done well for years, and now Belli as well. But I'm just watching from the sidelines. If there's still hidden drama it is thankfully hidden.
  12. A minor version of this started to happen when Belli was in year one. In addition to the Belli Citizen's group there are/where a couple of 'anti-Belli Citizens' groups claiming that the people running the citizen's group had no right to be the voice of Belli for 'reasons'... Rather than working with those folks to shape the community they wanted to set up splinters and fight over who got to talk to the moles. Thankfully it went nowhere and I'm not even sure if the Belli Citizen's group's admins ever even knew there were some fools on the side demanding the throne get handed over.
  13. I was around at the time. There was originally intensely active involvement from the Lindens. They had a weekly group with Blondon (Blondin?) Linden assigned as hosting the meeting. I believe that was in the cafe in Bronlen if memory serves me right. Every single meeting was a shouting match between two different residents arguing over which of them was the queen of Zindra having the sole right to speak to Blondin. It was... pathetic. You could sit there in real time and see the Lindens tune out and start giving up and abandon goals they had set. Other people tried in vain to shut those two idiots up and would just get labeled as 'traitors to the rightful queen' for their efforts. Some of that effort is reflected in the venue south of Bronlen that was set up by some people to try and skirt around the shouting - but it was too late by that point. Blondin just stopped showing up to his own office hours because why bother if he couldn't get anything done due to two screaming brats. There were Adult Hubs on estate land set up to help people get used to new region rating and this originally also had linden involvement giving the people running those some added powers to keep things smooth. Those people seemed to always do a good job, but while the Hubs are still out there last I checked, they've fallen into obscurity as the lindens and others mentally moved away from Zindra. The map very much looks incomplete. Not just on the edges, but regions like Mosh (?) and such seem half built. There's a whole Zindra Mall on Linden land that can't be used by anyone. It's a project that people just walked away from halfway through, due to residents behaving poorly. All of this also took place withing the larger context of M. Linden trying to turn SL into Micro Teams / Zoom a decade too soon. As we see now, M. Linden actually had a good idea - just the wrong platform for it. But that was a lot of why they suddenly wanted to shove all the adult stuff out of view.
  14. I saw that too. I just assumed it was because the shape I started with was my reBorn one where I have some dials set to their extreme ends. But going for mid dials only partly resolved it. It seems to fit legacy items right? So shouldn't this part of the body be the same as on legacy. If it's not that's curious.
  15. It's gets as large as reBorn Waifu, but didn't have as nice of a shape. It's long been an issue that breast size dials down poorly for most bodies that can look good dialed higher (and vice versa: a body made to look good small breaks on high), with a few exceptions like Belleza Freya. Thus probably why some brands have made attachments for smaller sizes.
  16. Yeah. Given the other recent forum topic about not enough attachment points, if a store refuses to give us Mod, they should at least do all the linking for us in advance. Ideally they'd do both so their scripts are intact.
  17. Yeah. It does seem that way. For someone like me who never bought legacy it's not a bad choice. But for a legacy user they are being asked to rebuy their body when they should just be asked to buy a mod kit.
  18. After the gen.x launch, it is nice to see a body launch on sale. I grabbed a demo of the bombshell legacy and it does look like the body outside of the bosom is pretty thin. I noticed it already works with 'Phat P' for legacy. Because it's half off I'll pick an alt and grab copy at some point before the sale ends.
  19. If memory serves me right 'no pushing' is a bad label for 'turn off the built in SL combat system' whereby particle collisions that hit hard enough TP people home. Almost nobody remembers that there is (or at least was) a built in SL combat system. If you really want to be a Bellissarian, join the Citizens Group. Historically it has had 'anti-Belli Belli people' before. As in people who were there but took issue with some of the rules. So they'll only toss you if you get mean about things. But it does seem to be where most of the "community events" get announced so if you want to "spy on Belli" it's a good way to find out what Belli people do with their land. That said 90% of the chat is just random stuff like some kind of SL Ham Radio.
  20. Hey don't body shame the mesh free look. I'm fabulous.
  21. I don't know. before Waifu there was Mounds which never took off. There is also Proud Girls for Maitreya which never took off. And 'Fat Tids' for Belleza Freya which also never took off. Mounds almost took off because unlike Proud Girls and Fat Tids it kept working with and in fact still works with current reBorn... but even there it was a matter of only days before the inhouse addon Waifu was easier to find things for than Mounds. People feel more comfortable when the addon is inhouse, or a major brand (obviously the 'maze' thighs is a major exception to this - probably because they have rapidly supported so many different bodies).
  22. Really? That's literally been about half my posts in here for the last few years. A body that is big up top without being excessive below is a common ask that none of the major suppliers have been willing to do. reBorn is "almost" there but getting the bottom down to normal takes extreme dials. Asking for this = my thing. Will have to see if it meets the demand I've been seeking. I know legacy is no mod though so that will probably be an issue. I've been asking for a body like this so much I'm a bit of a broken record and I suspect some people are just "polite" with me and roll their eyes at this point and assume I'm some "internet weirdo" (I probably am, but that's a different topic).
  23. There are 3 different regions where you can rez all the home styles for all lot types, and in one of them, the belli sandbox, you've got a few hours to rez a build to and test that out. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/WelcomeHubLindenHomes/138/116/56 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/BelliDemo/165/7/56 (The fantasy homes are in the region to the south) http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sandbox Bellisseria/146/101/56 All of these will let you see how much space the homes take up.
  24. On the general topic, I'm doubtful we'll ever get a Mainland 2.0 Mainland 1.0 is a "utopian ideal" that hit the brick wall of reality. Like and somehow inspired by Burning Man (I don't see it, but SL's founders seem to have thought that's what they were doing). The idea is make an open unrolled sandbox and by not having rules everyone will get along and make wonderful things because rules only exist to do harm. Utopia's like this have a long history of failing. If they'd had anyone on staff with a background in history or political science they would have known that. What works when you're all in high on shrooms in a cafe in 1990s San Francisco does not work when you hand it to anyone past that inner circle. Even Burning Man now shows the mess you get when the idea gets too big. Belli is a corporate theme park. Make something to sell the masses with rules designed to prevent conflict, because rules exist to prevent harm. This sort of thing works at scale, but seems less fun when you zoom in. I don't see the "philosophy" that makes a Mainland 2.0 work. It exists in the tension between the people who believe in utopias, butterflies being people too, and taking shrooms, and the people who believe in controlled profitable theme parks. Mainland 2.0 wouldn't have a "space" until and unless someone new was in charge of SL that had a third philosophy.
  25. You'd also want to measure them all to be sure you didn't thus cast light onto your neighbor's lot. I've got light sources by the truckload on most of my parcels. I like to use the default daylight (I hate seeing the world spin when I walk onto or off of a parcel), but then use lights all over my land with a texture in the shade part to aim them or give them... textures (this is a neat way to paint an image onto a wall that... only shows when it's dark enough). So I am usually walking through a few dozen light sources and there seems to be no limit under the modern advanced lighting. But since there might still be one without advanced lighting - this makes an unreliable way to block outside light.
