  1. This may seem like a silly question, but... Have you tried to teleport out?
  2. This is not where to file an appeal. You need to submit a ticket. Click Help and then Contact Support (under Related Links on the lower right), then Submit a Support Case form. ETA: You might want to delete the chat logs from your post. Noone here needs to read them.
  3. Click Help and then Contact Support (under Related Links on the lower right), then Submit a Support Case form.
  4. If you are a Premium or Concierge customer and you experience difficulty verifying your identity on the Second Life website, you may submit a new support case in order to verify your account manually. Visit https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ Choose Account Issue from the first dropdown menu. Choose Manual Age Verification from the next dropdown menu that appears. Click Choose File to attach an electronic (scanned) copy of one of a Government issued identification that has your name and date of birth clearly displayed. This identification can be a birth certificate, driver's license, passport, or state ID or national ID. Click Submit. Please expect manual verification to take 5-7 working days.

  6. Approximate Width = 170 pixels and Height = 195 pixels. Thanks to Suella.
  7. I have to agree with Venus. LL is protective of their brand, and rightly so, and may not take kindly to your use of their name and logo.
  8. LL puts holds on accounts for a number of reasons. I think you're just going to have to be patient. The person who started this recent thread had to wait 5 weeks for his account to be restored.
  9. Has the mole changed color? Shape? If yes, he should get to the doctor posthaste. If not, he may want to go for a skin cancer screening, where they take pictures of every square inch of the body, when it is convenient for him, anyway. P.S. He sounds like a snob.
  10. Ahhh. Thank you. @Willow: He hasn't found a dermatologist that he's comfortable with working in that area?
  11. Oh, he just has the same skin as hundreds if not thousands of other avies. Or were you talking about a RL pic? In that case, your rich toff of a geezer most likely is trying to pass off a pic that he downloaded from the interwebz as his own. Which would lead me to question his whole background story. BTW, what is a L&D clinic?
  12. At top of page, click My Settings, then... ... Avatars / From Uploaded Images for a smaller avatar, or... ... Social Connect to choose a "badge"-sized one. The former requires you to upload an image first, the latter allows you to upload from that page. Suella has created an informative "how-to": How to create a cool forum avatar \ badge.
  13. Did you completely unistall the old version(s)? Including deleting client-created folders/directories? ETA: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_do_I_fully_uninstall_and_reinstall_Second_Life%3F Looking elsewhere in the forum, that, and installing to a different directory, seems to have resolved this issue for some people: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Viewer-2-0-General/Getting-Many-Errors-Installing-Latest-Viewer-2-0-1-203797/m-p/177167#M9730 http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Second-Life-Viewer/Viewer-2-6-Installation-fails-Error-opening-dll-files/m-p/784699#M756
  14. You can certainly download it, but it may force an update.. in which case.. no. Installer Download links for all versions are on individual pages, linked at bottom of this page: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes
  15. I saw no intolerance there. Some people have "interesting" definitions of "harassment," too. See above. As to whether or not it was a true threat.. How likely is it that this person is going to go smash somebody's windows? 'What the courts have found is that in order for a threat to -- for speech, for words alone to constitute a threat, this is from United States v. Kelner, which is a second circuit case, that the threat: "on its face and in the circumstances which it is made is so unequivocal, unconditional, immediate and specific as to the person threatened as to convey a gravity of purpose, imminent prospect of execution."' -- Barry Steinhardt, in his opening statement to the MTTLR Jake Baker debate.
  16. Yes, you can download older versions. The one previous to 2.6.2 (225998) is, I believe, 2.6.1 (225680). You could also try the beta or a Third Party Viewer. Kirstens is close to Viewer 2, but is a bit resource intensive.
  17. Perhaps it depends on one's definition of threat. Is informing someone that they have to abide by the same CPGs that everyone has to follow, and that if they don't they may be issued a warning, a threat? Some seem to think so.
  18. Things that make me go ARGGGGG: Delusional people who spread their lies everywhere that they possibly can. Perpetual victims. Crybabies.
  19. You should be able to find Me in the menu bar at the top of the window.
  20. Currently, the best place is probably at User Group meetings.
  21. 1. If everyone leaves (or is kicked) from the group, including the owner(s), then the group will cease to exist. In effect, deleting it. 2. No. 3. No. Yes. Groups need to have at least two people in them. If less than two people are in the group for 48 hours, it will be disbanded. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Groups
