  2. Hmm. Looking at the link Cerise provided, it doesn't really sound to me like it is fixed yet: "TinyMCE is not supported by iOS so we've put in logic to only load a simple text editor if browsing from a iPhone or iPad." TinyMCE's position is (or was): "Talk to Apple. Not much we can do about it."
  3. Test.. sent from Android phone running Dolphin HD browser. I don't actually SEE any rich text options. So they ARE technically hidden. ETA: LL would have to optimize the site for mobile devices (ex.: "m.community.secondlife.com") for some content to work the way people want it to, and I don't know if that's high on their list of priorities.
  4. Maybe all it was ever meant to be was a preview. Which begs the question of why LL felt the need to build a basic mode into the new beta. :smileyindifferent: Seems a waste.
  5. Try clearing your cookies. Worked for me. BTW, there's a one hour timer for guest web sessions. ETA: Besides the world map page overlay, you can get to it from here. ETA: I was able to use the same e-mail address a second time, with a new timer.
  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't grandfathered pricing no longer transferable? As of May 1, 2010, I believe.
  7. In Viewer 2.x, the play button is at the top right, I believe.
  8. Further reading revealed that what my mother made once a year was really a New England Boiled Dinner. Ha! Sláinte.
  9. Cabbage and bacon, huh. Never heard of that dish before. So of course, I had to research it further.. "Despite the popular assumption in North America that corned beef dishes are typical of traditional Irish cuisine, it was not until the wave of 18th century Irish immigration to the United States that much of the ethnic Irish first began to consume corned beef. In Ireland today, the serving of corned beef is geared toward tourist consumption and most Irish in Ireland do not identify the ingredient with native cuisine. "The popularity of corned beef over bacon to the immigrated Irish was likely present due to the fact that corned beef in their native land was considered a luxury product, but was cheaply and readily available in America. The Jewish population produced similar koshered cured beef product made from the brisket which the Irish immigrants purchased as corned beef from Jewish butchers. This was likely facilitated by the close cultural interactions and collaboration of these two immigrant cultures." Learn something new every day. 10. No plans for St. Paddy's in SL, nor will I be having corned beef and cabbage IRL. 40 odd years of that was enough, thank you.
  11. Rolling Restart on all Channels Tonight A rolling restart is scheduled for approximately 8:00 pm PDT for maintenance on all server channels. Please check this blog for updates. http://status.secondlifegrid.net/2011/03/16/post1238/
  12. Actually, it IS in violation of the (recently revised) Community Standards: 4. Disclosure Residents are entitled to a reasonable level of privacy with regard to their Second Life experience. Sharing personal information about your fellow Residents without their consent -- including gender, religion, age, marital status, race, sexual preference, alternate account names, and real-world location beyond what is provided by them in their Resident profile -- is not allowed. Remotely monitoring conversations in Second Life, posting conversation logs, or sharing conversation logs without the participants' consent are all prohibited. 13. Security. That's a laugh. In answer to your question.. "Is LL gonna give us the option to ban a user.." Yeah, sure. Ban whoever you like. Start off with me. Go ahead. Ban me. I don't care.
  14. Ok. Well. Good luck with that. :smileyindifferent:
  15. So, the answer is: No, you weren't banned. Your account was placed on hold. Quite different things. You can either wait for the results of the review, or keep calling Billing. If you're persistent enough, you might actually get someone to look into it further and speed up the process. A petition, especially one that obfuscates, is useless.
  16. So, were you banned? I don't believe LL bans people for Lindex transactions unless there's some sort of fraudulent activity involved. It's more likely it triggered a hold, pending a review. Have you tried calling Billing?
  17. Yes, I know some people, as soon as they're banned, proclaim their innocence. "But, I did nothing wrong!!!!1!!1!" Are we to believe that LL bans for no reason whatsoever? Just on a whim? I, for one, don't believe it. If you or anyone else were unfairly banned, that's why the appeals process exists. Appeal. Or not.
  18. Laufiair Hexicola wrote: .. we all hurt the same when a griffer bullys us, and/or convices LL that "we" the victum should be the one banned. I'm guessing that what you're "guilty" of is retaliation against one or more persons who were somehow "griefing" you. It may not seem fair, but it appears that LLs position is that two wrongs don't make a right, and I would tend to agree. If you're having issues with certain people, why sink to their level, especially if you're aware of the possible consequences (not that ignorance of the law is a defense..)?
  19. Oh, it's much more than that. But shopping is always good.
  20. Dezi: Use the link in Torley's post below (err.. above) or follow these steps: 1. Log in to Marketplace and click on My Marketplace at top right: 2. Click on My Account: 3. Click on Order History (on left): 4. This should bring you to a page showing all of your Marketplace transactions, which should look like this: What you posted earlier looks like your LL Transaction History, which shows all L$ transactions (LindeX purchases, gifts, Marketplace, etc.)
  21. Yeah, that looks like Transaction History, not Marketplace Order History..
  22. Dezi: At Marketplace, click My Marketplace (top right).. then My Account.. then Order History. ETA: Or https://marketplace.secondlife.com/orders like Torley said.
  23. You can read about the various grids here.
  24. Um.. You might have noticed that that is my signature. And it's a quote. Has nothing to do with my response to you. I "sujust" you find something to spend your time a lil more wisely on than nitpicking at people who are trying to help you. Like.. go read a dictionary.
