  1. Vollee is no more. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Vollee http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vollee
  2. What's the problem, exactly? Is the client crashing? Are you getting any error messages? More info needed. ETA: Maybe you need to download and install the client???
  3. LOL, Cinn. I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today?
  4. @Ishtara: Yes, I've also heard/read stories of residents who supposedly died IRL coming back to (Second) Life. In those cases, their "deaths" followed on the heels of some drama/scandal. I have no reason to believe that the RL deaths that I heard/read memorial announcements for were faked, though.
  5. <A href="https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Anthracite-Rentals/1508547" target="_blank"><IMG src="http://community.secondlife.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/20289i378886A5DA3FDD59/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&px=-1"></A> Just add target="_blank" as above
  6. Try this: <A href="https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Anthracite-Rentals/1508547"><IMG src="http://community.secondlife.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/20289i378886A5DA3FDD59/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&px=-1"></A> You had the URL for the page that the image is on. Right-click the image and copy image location to get the correct image location. ETA: Note that the image source URL above is truncated.
  7. I've seen announcements inworld of a number of memorial services held for deceased residents, though I've never attended one myself, and occasionally see a blog posting announcing one. There was at least one virtual cemetery inworld, though the sim it used be on, Memoris, no longer shows on the world map (see http://secondlife.reuters.com/stories/2007/03/30/second-life-sketches-the-island-of-lost-souls/).
  8. Well... in case they're not snatched up, there are those who would advise them to amass as much gold as they can. That way, they won't have to take the mark of the Beast to participate in the economy. Of course, those same people probably bought "survival seeds" after seeing the ads on Glenn Beck's show. :smileywink:
  9. Why not you? You'll be among those of us, I trust, who won't float away into the heavens. And you brought it up! As for where... I s'pose any number of sims whose owner(s) have ascended would be fair pickings. Unless they all sell them off, hoping to take their L$s with them. I'm picturing a rave. And now I'm picturing a role play scenario. "On three, everyone press Page Up!" [Plug for my friend Style here: His Heaven build would make a great "set" for the gathering in the air. See my picks.] Oh, and zombies! A great time would surely be had by all.
  10. Yes! What a great idea! A Tribulation Party! Get to work on that. I'll be there!
  11. When you uninstalled, did you do a full uninstall?
  12. Re-activating a canceled account If you have cancelled your account, you may be able to restore it, depending on how long ago it was cancelled. There is a US$9.95 reactivation fee for restoring an account. Even [if] your account is restored, the associated inventory, land, and Linden dollar balance may be unrecoverable. To start the process, submit a support case as follows: Open a support case. Under What type of problem are you having?, choose Account Issue. Choose Reactivate an old account. Enter the required information Click Submit.
  13. You don't need to log in to download. https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/
  14. LOL! I have friends who own them, friends who sell them... and I can understand their appeal, really I can, it's just... I don't want to have to feed anything, or make sure it doesn't get sick and die. Hell, I barely remember to feed myself half the time. The latest craze is Meeroos. Sure, they're cute little rodent things, but... same thing. The only reason I might possibly accept one some day is that you can have it transformed into a pet that requires no care and you can keep it in your inventory.
  15. LindeX processing can take 0-5 business days (Monday-Friday, not including holidays) if they're through PayPal.
  16. Psssst! Prok! Don't take the free horses. That's how they get you hooked!
  17. Rhonda Huntress wrote: Now to really show my age ... does any one remember back in the 60's there were these popular posters of young girls dancing. They all had large heads, thin bodies and deep pouts. Maybe the style is coming back around. Ya mean like... Twiggy?
  18. Just a couple constructive criticisms of your SurveyMonkey survey: 1. There's really no need to know the avatar name of anyone completing your survey, and you may find that participation in it is less than you desire simply for your asking (not that someone can't just put "Nunya" in that field, but...); 2. Interesting choice of terms in the field for sexual orientation. You go from straight, as opposed to heterosexual, to _____sexual. This may reveal a bias, for lack of a better word, that you may wish to avoid the appearance of in your research.
