A time out from the never ending battle of shopping vs clearing inventory.

Being a good friend and battling for 35 mins to get into a store to buy a limited edition item for a friend who is off "real lifing", clicking the "gift" option, inputting their name, being told "We found them, pay the vendor now" and getting sent the item instead of them! After talking to the store CSR....nothing they can (or will) do, so I am out 3500L and have an item I didn't want.

He is INCREDIBLY annoying!!!!! Especially when he delights in sending me clown pics!

For me it came after reading "It" when I was 12. Watching Poltergeist didn't help much either. Something that has stuck with me for years was seeing a happy faced clown remove his makeup to see an unhappy sad man behind it. That ruined the "happy clown" illusion for me and has reinforced the thought that you just don't know who or what is hiding behind the facepaint masks. Kinda like how watching a documentary on Ron Jeremy ruined porn by seeing what a lonely and unhappy man he is in reality. Clowns in SL? Scream and derender...AND YES ORWAR I AM LOOKING AT YOU!!!!!

I'm not really big on the holidays to start with so they are pretty much just another day for me. I always take Dec 24th off work as it is Demon Spawn's birthday and then I alternate taking Xmas week off every other year. I took the week off last year and went away, so this year I will be working my normal roster which will see me working Xmas day, as being elderly or infirm and needing help doesn't take time off. May hit the beach or sales on Dec 26th as I do not work Saturdays so will have that day off!

Back at work boxing up and storing unnecessary items to clear up some inventory space to make myself feel better about being a huge supporter of the SL economy! So far...24,000 items cleared!

Agreed. Although I will put out there that Black Friday and Xmas sales will be coming up and although it's not guaranteed, I would wait and see if the bigger mesh stores join in and have discounts on their mesh body parts.

^^^ EXACTLY THIS!!!! ^^^ I have been a blogger for 11 years and have so-so follows and likes on Flickr because I don't play the Flickr games. I don't like millions of pictures to get likes back. I don't add my pictures to every group under the sun to get more likes. I play by the rules...and just don't apply for or get rejected by stores asking for bazillions of followers and likes. In the end, I am happy just doing my own thing and am thankful to still have some people who appreciate what I do.

I find it annoying that people STILL put their pictures in EVERY group they can, whether it applies to the group or not. Example... Group - Female Face Close Up Some pictures in the group include - full length body shots, a dude slapping some bimbo on a St Andrew's Cross, some chick's huge bazongas and another's huge badonkadonk. I thought limiting the groups you could put your pics in would stop that, but the "opt out" negated that idea. People still seem to find a way to put their pics in hundreds of groups.

Having been so sick that I have done nothing but sleep for the past 3 days...so am now wide awake and annoyed about it...at 4am. But then I remember my delightful insomnia which usually has me awake and annoyed till 5am.
