  1. pay lindens and transfer inventory to your other account the same way you would any other resident. (any inventory that is no transfer goes nowhere, though.)
  2. if you are not already, try maximize the window sl runs in and then rebake, see if that fixes it.
  3. checking the grid status page couldn't hurt http://status.secondlifegrid.net/
  4. you look terrific, marianne. any guy that would turn you down because of this er vel ikke mye å samle på uansett for å si det på norsk i'm thrilled to hear curio is working on this as well, looking forward to getting it for sure. and that's one kickass jacket btw

  8. what happens when you do try to check out? when shopping only free items you are required to click yet another time to be able to check out. the last page befor checking out when shopping free items is cluttered with "useful ads" just to annoy you a little more before you get what you ordered. it should say on the top "Click 'Place your order' to complete checkout" - that is at the bottom of the page.
  9. to track replies to your own posts, go to your profile (click your name to the left of your post or the name at the top of the page "welcome, avatarname" - "my settings" etc) and under "my questions" you will find (links to) the threads you created. (hehe that is, if you find this post again... )
  10. i am sorry to hear your money was lost. i would advice in the future to pull up your friend's profile directly from your friends list or calling card - that way you are certain it is the correct one, and not to rely on search, as names can be very similar. checking the name more than once is also good advice. especially if it's an amount it's hard to part with.
  11. extracting textures from other peoples clothing and re-upload as own texture. sure, that won't cause problems... if all you want is a color modification i would contact the merchant you bought it from and ask if it can be done; some do custom works. check their profile/policy/blog, and if it's not found there, ask them.
  12. turn off local lighting in your gfx prefs so it's set to sun and moon only. that's the only way i have found will remove the floodlight while in appearance mode.
  13. LOL! :D you're a treat, giving me recycled koodies 0.0 LOLOL
  14. i am pretty sure of this as well. once you get koodies you have it for life!
  15. welcome back to sl \o/ if i was you the first thing i would try would be to go through my friends list and see if any of the people there are still active, and also groups. oh, we now have a "make friends" section here - http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Make-Friends/bd-p/MakeFriends - sounds like just the thing for you good luck in your search!

Is this what we need to do?? you are welcome to suggest an "auto invite" feature in the community feedback section. personally, i don't see any connection between the friends in the forums and inworld friends, and seeing as the lists are not "synched" i think the lab people don't either. :smileyindifferent:
  17. Irene Muni wrote: In this system, "open in a new window" means (and make) "open in a new tab" oh! thank you, irene
  18. oh they do? i never noticed. i prefer having control over where the links i click open, so whenever i have a page with links to multiple sub articles (as the kb) and i am going to read more than one i always open them in background tabs. so for me it doesn't really make any difference. open in "new window". isn't that a little old when we have browsers with tabs now? even internet exploder has tabs now? right? but if any default behaviour is to be set i would vote for "open in background tab" or even "new tab".
  19. Keli Kyrie wrote: You can change the order. The button is right under the question. it still reverts to sort by newest on each thread. even if the settings in prefs is set to show oldest first. several have mentioned this already. hoping it's some kind of bug and on the to do list.
  20. ChuckBaggett wrote: Just because something is being seen doesn't mean it's accomplishing it's purpose. Annoying people repeatedly shows up on view counts just as well as pleasing or influencing them in the desired manner does. Your animated badge here is one the two I've got blocked so far. Your animated badge about viewer 2 in the Jive forum wasn't quite as annoying as the badge you're using here. Seeing that animated viewer 2 signature gif did not improve my opinion of viewer 2 any, of course, but it did cause me to be slightly annoyed in connection with viewer 2 many times. I suspect that if the ability to make specific animated gif files display the first image but not animate was buillt into browsers that there would be a lot less animation being displayed. I suspect that if one could turn off the animated gif files but still see the first image here in our settings there would be a lot less animated being seen. Unfortunately these options aren't available. The only options are to see the animations repeatedly, press escape after each page display, or not see the image at all, so instead of seeing a static version of the animated gif, you see nothing. I'm not interested in never seeing any animated gif files anywhere on the internet, so the about:config suggestion isn't something I want. setting image animation mode to none still leaves you the option to view the ones you want to see. but, eliminating animated images all together in the forums is indeed the best option, i agree on that.
  21. yes, same as ciaran, i have also commented on this, and ohers, in the link he provided. let's hope this changes
  22. i didn't enjoy seeing them either. so i turned them off years ago and haven't seen any since unless i specifically choose to. and that's not often animated images in forums are a bit myspace-ish. visual eyesore. off-topic/gd sections function in a different way i guess so animated images (in posts) would be a different deal there. but for signatures and avatars or even badges? yikes. however - they could serve a purpose if they are used the right way, say for tutorials and stuff. to help. other than that they don't belong in a forum where information is exchanged. ETA: if you're on firefox and don't want those obnoxious animated images - do this: 1) type in about:config in the address bar 2) find image.animation_mode in the list 3) double click the entry and type in none and hit ok 4) \o/
  23. oh! i couldn't help but snicker good when i read this!
  24. (bites joshooah for sneaking in line)
