  1. Thank you, Dakota, you did get the right idea on what I was attempting to explain. You did also give me a bit of a workaround, for the "department" in the store. It does mean a few extra steps for measuring the trending and percentage of sales vs each department but it's doable and it's worth those steps. Thank you for the ideas and understanding clumsy me.
  2. It's a shame that they are getting rid of the quarterly one, since for some individuals, that fit their budget. More savings than the monthly but their budget could not fit the full annual one, was a nice middle ground. I understand that LL wants people to go Premium, so the extra perks I could understand but to downgrade the free account with the groups, that is the one thing I don't understand. That one feels a little like they are punishing those that are on the free accounts.
  3. I suppose I didn't explain it very well. When you upload items, you can put it with which section and everything but I'm talking about a separate store almost, for one av. You can put it under your brand but it works as a different area totally. You can measure the sales separately from each one, see which one is trending better, etc. Basically, it would get rid of the need to make a totally different avatar, to have a separate store.
  4. This is from Doreese Defaux because SL forums are hating on her: Over the top or side doesn't really matter to me but this would help make our stores more organized in searching for items! Those of use that make more items than just clothes this would be so helpful! Also, you could organize TYPES of clothing such as dresses, shorts, pants etc. Creating several alts to sell various items is so inconvenient and confusing for the sellers I would think. I tried it with just selling nail polish and gave up... too much work. ONE store with several categories makes more sense. I believe this would also be more convenient for the buyer as well not just for the seller.
  5. During the Governance meeting today, it was asked if it was possible to set up the MP stores with different categories. For example, if you already make clothing but want to branch out and create furniture as well. At present, if you decide to do that but want to keep them sort of separate, you usually create an alt to have one store, while the main has the original store. Is there a way to do it where you don't have to have two different stores or is this something that could possibly be in the future? The ability to catagorize or create departments/separate sections would not only be benifical for creators but would be more user friendly for the customer as well. This way, a customer clicks on the "department" they want, especially if they are unsure of the name or just want to see what you have in that section of your "store".
  6. I was told that they were sold out in 27 minutes. In the Bellissaria group, it was mentioned that this was a "small" launch and that the next one they do will be larger with more houses and I think, it will be a different theme.
  7. That was seriously petty of them to do that.
  8. The Lindens were there when everyone was looking around and meeting up at the Pickle cafe/lounge. In one of the Bellissaria groups, it was mentioned by one of them that this was a small launch, so there is more coming in the future. On when that will happen, I don't know but at least there is hope for more. There has been mention of a different theme in the future, so that must be the larger launch possibly.
  9. That fast? I just made it then, just under the wire!
  10. Refresh and keep trying. I got the error message and the sold out message quite a few times before I finally got a boat.
  11. I can't wait for it but I also don't know where to look for the announcement, other than where Patch mentioned that they will be released soon. Am I looking at the right thread for the announcement? I also need to dump the LL home I did get because I really would love to get one of the houseboats instead.
  12. That does help and yes, I was thinking along the lines of the old way of flying, with 150-200 being the normal for some pilots. As for my speed, I don't go super fast but I'm not slow either. I keep it fairly steady between 60-75mph, so I cross a 1024sqm lot at a nice pace that falls under the 15 seconds allotted.
  13. Since we are talking about this, I do have a question regarding the orbs and flying. I was flying my helicopter yesterday, at 150m and was hit with 2 different orb warnings as I was flying over. One had a 15 second warning and the other had a 5 second warning. Was I flying too low and should go to 200m or is that still too low?
  14. Since the sudden shock of the banlines going down, it does appear to have calmed down quite a bit. I also noticed that there does not appear to be the intrusion of griefers and intruders doing a sudden onslaught, to those who swore, that was about to occur when the banlines were removed. I have the little bike from Consignment, which I love to use when I explore and it's nice. The houses are gorgeous, the neighborhoods are quiet but still full of people enjoying everything and, I admit, seeing no banlines really does look great.
  15. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Abnor! These are so appreciated!
  16. It would be pretty, to see the seasons changing a little but I doubt it would happen, since the amount of manpower it would require would be huge. You have to imagine, the Moles would have to come in and switch everything around, over the continent, which is a lot of regions to be changing.
  17. Really great advice! I agree, this is LL's baby and you know they are going to be watching it closely. As for that last part, the targeted harassment, banlines, security orbs, and everything else you can think of, won't deter someone who reaches this level and is fully committed to stalk and harass someone. Rerolling a new home is really the best option at that point.
  18. Holy smokes, you have been doing some serious exploring! Thank you for all the links. I know who to go to now if I have a question about Bellisseria.
  19. Majority of the furniture out there now have the option of setting permissions for owner, group or open. If you set it up with owner or group access only, it will prohibit people from sitting on your furniture. It's usually somewhere in the menu, marked "Access" in most furniture. That does help add some more security to your home as well, when it's set up for access for only certain people.
  20. I agree, the insta-tp-home is rude and can result in crashes when it's done. The 60 sec. time is a bit long, but I like when someone gives me at least 20 secs to turn around and get out of their area. It gives plenty of time to remove yourself from that area and if someone is newer to flying, boating, or driving a car, they may need that 20 seconds to maneuver themselves properly. The one option you missed on your list of things to do is that you can choose to click the privacy button in About land, so people off of the land cannot see you at all. There is nothing to look at, if you have that activated. They can see the house and décor but they will not be able to see you anywhere on the land.
  21. The banlines are gone and good riddance to them. We FINALLY have a land that has none of that stupidity going on in it. As for travel, they do still impede travel. I can tell you are not a traveller, by sea, air, or road. When you hit a sim crossing, even on the good days, it can alter/send you off course a little, even if you take the crossing slowly, it can happen. Guess where you can end up..in someone's banlines at that point. At one point, banlines were not even in SL. When SL was in it's infancy, the sense of community, working together to create something, and unity of ideas was prevalent. I get the feeling that LL would like to go back to that community feeling. People stayed, contining on in sl to do all the things they could not do in rl for whatever reason. Those banlines that some of you want so badly, do NOT encourage community. We finally have Bellisarria and it's a big step is the right direction. The people who want those banlines, are in the minority. You leave a LL home in a huff, thinking you will teach LL a lesson for going against your personal, selfish interests, but that home is filled in seconds by someone else, who more than agrees with the rules. Earlier, someone said that we should take a vote. Well, in a sense we are taking a vote. The amount of people who want these homes is overwhelming, even knowing that they have these rules and regulations in place. Many of them are loving the no banline rule. The houseboats sold out in hours and the homes were not far behind in that. We are taking a vote with our own actions and the way those homes filled up and it's overwhelmingly in favor of allowing more access to move around and not having to deal with banlines or overly aggressive orbs. If you really cannot live without the banlines, there is so many areas for you to go to. As for your view on just block them from your viewer; well they are still there when my car, or my boat, or my helicopter gets knocked off course from a sim crossing, regardless on if I can see it or not. It will still get hung up on that ban line and it will still get messed up, script-wise, even though I won't be able to see it. It is still just as intrusive and just as anti-community, even if I am unable to see it.
  22. You may want to check the height of those banlines you love so much. They have been lower by quite a bit now. The reason the planes fly at 150-200m is because the banlines are just under 100m . Over in Satori, Jeogeot, and Sansara, where it's been checked, they were gone at the higher heights. The issue now is the roads and waterways and I'm hoping in time, those banlines are removed as well.
  23. Actually, they work with the Lindens. Also, if you bothered to go to the meetings, you would know that the Guardians, who enforce the rules, are reasonable people as well. How about giving them some credit for having enough brains to know that someone was just being a peeping tom and filing that jerk AR where it belongs, in the circular filing cabinet.
  24. I have to agree, the data was there for LL to check and see who was doing what. Remember, LL really can see everything that we do and don't do. With that said, after reading this very long thread, many appear to support the removal of banlines. I admit, I'm in the majority who think that banlines should be a thing of the past. Yes, there is a ban list to implement for keeping people who want to pester, out. There is going to be orbs that are approved, so you do have security, along with skyboxes permitted over 2500m for added privacy. In my opinion, LL has found a solid balance for us, for these homes. If someone feels though that this is not for them, there is many other options. There is the older LL homes (though they are getting phased out, though not sure when), there is the mainland where you can get land at reasonable prices and you set it up how you want it, along with several agencies that have rentals that are very secluded, private and secure. Abnor Mole said it perfectly earlier in this thread; this is an option, though it may not be for everyone, so there are other options out there that are available.
  25. And this is why I love the Moles so much. Very well said Abnor and the perfect explanation for those who are having issues with the ban lines going away. Thank you and btw, you guys did a fantastic job on the new continent! It is both highly appreciated and being fully enjoyed by many of us.
