If you have in your mind specific series you can post them here and we will try to help you. Basically most graphics card a year or two old from either ATI or NVIDIA will run SL, but as usually the newer the better.

SLURL in browser always opens up new Firestorm?

Hello. If you use Mozilla, it is no difficult to change it under Menu Tools --> Options --> Applications. If you use IE, try to re-install the official viewer. For a reason SLurls open with the viewer you have installed last of all. See if that helps. About your second question Menu Me --> Preferencers --> General --> Enable "Show on login" --> OK. After you can change your starting location. -
Hello Ka0s and welcome to SL Forums. Move to a region without lag, or better relog there. Protected lands like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere are recommended. Being sure that your inventory is fully loaded, try to change outfit choosing choosing one with just the necessary stuff (skin, shape, hair, eyes, pants and shirt) without any attachments. Wait some seconds and rebake your textures with Ctrl+Alt+R. Repeat same process if it is necessary. If the problem remains, you can try the suggestions here one by one. They work for all viewers. However suggestions won't work if: You have corrupted files saved in your hard disk. If so, you will fix the issue if you delete them and download new files. To do that, delete all contests at the following folder: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife After login back in a quiet sim and follow same process as above. You have problem with your internet connection. If so, you will fix the problem if you fix your internet connection. You can test your internet speed at http://speedtest.net/ If it is too slow, reboot your modem / router leting it closed for at least 2-3 mins and try again. If you use wireless connection, simply avoid it (it is no recommended for SL) and prefer direct cable connection instead. You can experiment also with your maximum bandwidth until to find the best setting for your system (under preferences --> setup).

Hello caralisia and welcome to SL Forums. If you are stuck only in General Regions you have to submit a ticket about under Account Issues. If you have access in General and Moderate Regions, try to add payment info in your Account. Normally it will fix your issue. -

Hello Sedia. I don't think that you can combine gift cards on a single purchase. When you try to pay the vendor using the first card, logically you will get the message that you have no enough lindens in the card. The only you can do (if your gift cards are transfer but no copy) to contact the merchant, send him/her the giftcards and after send you back an equal value card. -

Hello Jhoseph. Personally i have never had this problem. If it is the first time you use V3, maybe you have to increase your Maximum Bandwidth (default is 500 kbps) under Me --> Preferences --> Setup (assuming that you have no problems with your internet connection). -

Hello DonnaAmilia and welcome to SL Forums. I don't think so. This laptop is old, released if i am right 3 years ago. In my country you can find it only used. Maybe in low graphics but no good idea to buy laptop for it. If you want a laptop for SL, it is no suggested. The graphics card ( Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD with 64MB ) has no dedicated memory. It means with simple words that it "bollows memory" from your RAM. If your RAM was at least 4GB, you would have more possibilities for better performance, although graphics card is so weak. I read some reviews for this card. It gets less than 10fps with low graphics for more than 3D famous 2010-2011 games like Anno2070, Crysis 2, Call of Duty, Dawn of War 2 and other. SL is a very demanding application and you need at least 15 fps in order to run it smoothly.

Hello Evie and welcome to SL Forums. It could be relative with a problem with your internet connection. If so, reboot your modem / router leting it closed for at least 2-3 mins and try again. You can check also your internet speed at http://www.speedtest.net/ You need at least 1 Mbps in order to run SL smoothly. You can also increase your Maximum Bandwidth (preferences --> setup in V3) especially if you have fast internet connection It could be relative with corrupted files in your hard disk. If so, you will fix the problem if you delete them and download new files. To do that, delete all contests at the following folder: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife. If you use a TPV, delete also: C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ PhoenixViewer or Firestorm etc. Same with all viewers. Relog after to a quiet region like Smith or Exeuxoa and try again. -
Hello Carmsie. Not sure what is wrong. The best you can do is to submit a ticket --> Marketplace --> General Marketplace Issues. Report there the problem and wait for a reply.

cannot hear the music -- is there a simple solution

Hello Ausome. Could be relative with your internet connection. However, as Irene mentioned we need to know some details about your system specs and also about your internet connection. If you use wireless, just avoid it, it is no recommended for SL and prefer direct cable connection. Your internet speed should be at least 1Mbps (you can check it out at http://www.speedtest.net/ ). If you see lower speed, here is the answer. If you see higher speed, you need to increase your Maximum Bandwidth in world (under Preferences --> Setup). If you don't hear music in some regions, have in your mind that some regions have no music (stream). Sometimes also the music stream can be offline temporarily or the url on the region is invalid. Btw when we say url (uniform resource locator) we mean with simple words the name of a web page which is unique ( a reference to an Internet resource). Url is what you see on the address bar with your browser. -

Hello Kitty. From http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Private-Regions/ta-p/700133#Section_.3.6 You may abandon your Private Region to Linden Lab. There is no fee to do so. No refunds will be given, and you will have the use of your region until the end of the current billing cycle. You need to notify the Concierge staff of your intention by submitting a ticket. Go to the Support Portal and click New Ticket Submission. In the Ticket Type dropdown, select Land and Region Issues. In the Region Request dropdown, select Region Cancellation Request. Fill out the requested details, and at the bottom, click Finish to submit the ticket You can see billing dates and fees for all of your Private Regions at the Land Portal. If your Private Region fees are invoiced, you can see the date your billing cycle ends by logging into your Netsuite account. Note: If your next billing date falls within 5 business days of when you submit the ticket, please notify Concierge by phone or chat, so that you will not be billed automatically. Provide your ticket number in that conversation. When your ticket is processed, you'll receive a response indicating that the region will be taken offline on its next billing date and that you will not be charged any further maintenance fees. Please pick up or return any content on the region; any inventory remaining after the billing date will be deleted.
