  1. I did complete this survey too but as of today I have not received any Lindens for this.
  2. Check 'Perfect Paradise' (SIM & Group). I believe they were doing English language classes.
  3. Sometimes I allow the change on the chance that it will enhance things but generally wind up going back to standard view. I think I spend 90% of my time using mid night. So many things that I like to do I just prefer to do in the dark.

They get a higher rate of support calls for some of the major metros, NYC being one of them, because there isn't enough infrastructure to actually support the number of cell phones in use there.

I could have said "we" men but then someone would have said it wasn't just for tinies. On second thought, I guess it does fix that problem.
  7. I havn't had the 'off center' problem. I remember reading about it. I guess in one sense that is part of my question. This setting in the advanced menu appears to do nothing.
  8. Most of my snapshots are averaging 1.25mb. I save PNG also. What puzzled me the most was as I moved through the different graphic settings, low, medium, high, ultra, toggling off and on the save high res in advanced menu, I was seeing no change in the saved file size. Nor visually any difference on my lap top. My lap top is not as high end as yours but it is a better than average machine: CPU: Intel® Core2 Duo CPU T7100 @ 1.80GHz (1795.58 MHz) Memory: 4092 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit Service Pack 2 (Build 6002) Graphics Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation Graphics Card: GeForce 8400M GT/PCI/SSE2 Windows Graphics Driver Version: 7.15.0011.0117 OpenGL Version: 2.1.1 Thank you for posting that screen shot.
  9. It is very shaky ground for a business person to be on when their supplier is also their competitor. The offer of the Linden Home should have been a time limited offer. Your first six months you get a home. I'd think more than enough time for a person to settle into SL. Then let the free market compete for them. It really should have been LL teaching new folks how to navigate in this world but it is we the residents who seem to do all the work. Yes, SL needed to smooth out the new user experience. But not at the expense of the people who have built SL into what it is. As often is, there isn't always a perfect solution, but we should always be seeking out the best alternatives.
  10. I wish I had seen this thread yesterday. I needed to access some State of Illinois pages yesterday and you only get full functionality with I.E. But now with the upgrade I couldn't even view some of them much less fill in the forms I needed to file. Talk about a cluster fark.

  12. When taking snapshots we are given several options for how to save them. We have JPG, PNG & BMP. Their is also an option in the advanced menu, "save high resolution." Because I take a lot of snapshots I always save to disc. I will later on upload as needed. So I was comparing file sizes between regular and high res and they are virtually identical using an identical pose. Also, as I visually browsed through them with my picture viewer I could see no apparent difference. I also did some pictures in medium, high and ultra graphics setting in the viewer. Still no visibly noticeable difference. I have a 17" note book with dedicated graphics and my screen is rated 1080i. In other words I get a pretty sharp picture on this machine. So I'm wondering what's going on. What is the advantage of choosing save high res? Etc, Etc. Or will I only see a difference if I have an ultra high end computer and a 30" monitor? Thanks
  13. My eyes are by Simtropia. These are medium brown. I do not think they are any longer in business in SL. (Someone correct me if I am wrong) They had an awesome selection of eyes. i must not stare. i must not stare. i must not stare. i must not stare........
  14. Nuuna Nitely wrote: I have two addictions in SL: Hair and eyes. These are from Negapoisi. She makes very cheap and awesome eyes. Eyes? I didn't see any............oh, looks up. Yes beautiful......... Gads, I need to stop staring before I embarrass myself. Yes, one of the most beautiful pair of, um, what were we talking about? Looks up at the thread topic. Oh, eyes! Yes what a lovely set of eyes Whew. /me keeps repeating to myself, "I must not stare, I must not stare, I must not stare...." Now I have a new addiction in SL. Must remember to turn off 'show look at'
  15. I could sit here for an hour typing out the names of musicians and the titles of songs that I love and still not finish. What is your goal/purpose with this station?
  16. Jacki Silverfall wrote: I don't have a "man" but I do have a "friend" if that counts we will take you up on your challenge! :smileywink: Absolutely will count. Extra points (which don't matter anyway) for before and after shots. I need to get some shopping done myself pretty quick here.
  17. I just got done transferring and setting up some services today. ATT wants to move everyone from DSL to Uverse. They had better pricing plans for Uverse today than DSL. All very interesting.
  18. Dang it, Lithium won't let me use this You Tube URL. Grrrrrrrrrrr Can I use the Bass-O-Matic to prepare my Bunny?
  19. And now I am laughing....... There is a 'colon' 'p' in the middle of that URL that Lithium's HTML is interpreting as a smiley face

Tabris Daxter wrote: i have an object that is full perms in my inventory but when i rez it it becomes no copy/no mod because of the animations and scripts. if i were to use this in a holodeck would it be lost on the first rez or would it stay in the object inventory? More than likely the creator set the permissions while the object was still an item in inventory. Note these two pictures. I changed the permissions while it was an "item" in inventory. The * next to the letter 'N' indicates this ('N' is for next owner) and that the permission will be applied when the object is rezzed. Do not delete this item. If you delete it and should lose the object after rezzing you will have to repurchase it. You can read more about this in the wiki: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Viewerhelp:Permissions Edit: It is also possible you are dealing with nested permissions. My bad on my first answer. Regardless, do not delete the original 'full perm' from your inventory. Otherwise you can risk losing the item forever. Edit for accuracy.
  21. valerie Inshan wrote: Wow Perrie! Really amazing pictures! :smileysurprised: Thank you for such an incredible creativity! When he sank his teeth into her shoulder I knew his love and devotion for her was pure, unwavering and forever. One of the most romantic moments I have ever seen in SL. You could feel their passion like heat waves surging across the entire club. How could you not be swept up witnessing a moment like that.
  22. How hard it is sometimes to get subscribe-o-matic turned off. Recently I was in a club that had the subscriber in several unmarked prims. I accidentally clicked. That was low down, sneaky, dirty. To which I will add clubs and or group that think they need to send out a dozen notices an hour. Or even a day. "The show starts in an hour" "The show starts in a half hour" "The show starts in fifteen minutes" "Five Minutes till the show starts" "The show has started" "This show is awesome" "The show is 1/4 over" "Half an hour left for the show" "There is still time to get on the contest board" "Last fifteen minutes for the show" "Last call for boobies" "You all missed a great show, next one is tomorrow........" grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  24. TY. I am going to have to play with this the next time I am In World. But now I am also thinking if I made one large enough to walk on would there be a way to defeat SL gravity so that someone could walk upside down on it. Or would that require a pose ball/script?
