  1. Yunni..........The Graphics display card Geforce 210....is so old !... and even when it was new it was a very low performance graphics card. SL needs a higher performance card these days. If you decide to upgrade to a better graphics card, you will also need a better power supply. I would recommend a Nvidia 550TI ....and a new 500 watt PC power supply. This Nvidia 550TI will give very good SL performace without being too expensive. Good luck finding a solution..

  3. Yes I've been seeing this same problem for several weeks....and it is always just a normal prim or a linked object of normal prims. Parts of my Castle in view of my home rez position and usually at logon to home location. As soon as you right click the object rez instantly. I use http for textures so perhaps related to that.
  4. Ok i found my problem...i also needed to set the entire vehicle/root to physics type "Convex hull" before setting the child sculpt prims to Physics type "none" . Then it works with normal 32 prim count. and selected child sculpt prims remain Phantom. To make this clear...ill repeat all steps. 1.Select entire vehicle in Edit.... in features tab set Physics Type to "convex_hull ". 2. Using edit linked part, select the sculpt child Prims that need to be Phantom. In features tab set Physics Type to "none " for those child prims you want as Phantom T
  5. Mastro,Oskar plz help My racecar vehicle has many sculpted child prims that were Phantom until the roll out of pathfinding on main sim. Now all thoses sculped child prims are non-phantom......causing car to float 2meters above the ground at odd rotation and slowly revolve. I edited my car per Lindens instructions to make just 1 child prim Phantom by setting features....."Physics shape type" to "none". Now the prim "cost" has jumped to 300 !!! and vehicle is no longer working and gives error message that it has too many prims to operate as a veh
  6. Oskar.....Will Pathfinding get a "seperate heading" in the technology Forums? What viewer will I need to use to turn off Pathfinding in the 2 Private island sims I Manage? Please give a link to show how to turn OFF Pathfinding. What is the plan to fix physics problems with Mesh or Sculpt vehicles on pathfinding 3d land? regards, dd
  7. A simple test for heating problems on graphic card is to remove side cover of desktop pc cabinet. Place an small room Fan so it blows directly into graphic card area. See if your FPS remains good. Also visually check to see if little fan onboard graphic card is actually working,,,as these do go bad sometimes. (All of this assumes you have a desktop pc and an actual graphics card with onboard fan) good luck.... dd
  8. FPS dropping below 5 suddenly "could" be a graphics card overheating problem...........when the card overheats it automatically cuts back the graphic card processor speed to prevent damage. dd
  9. Have you tried reseting "Home" on your parcel once you do get there? Also check "about land" teleport landing point........set to "anywhere". did you try a different viewer? good luck dd
  10. I am happy to report that Sim crossings for my 2 agni type Sims are back to being good/normal today. So perhaps the unscheduled maintence did fix this issue. or something else...... All is well again good flying,boating,racing to all dd
  11. Hi Marigold, I just wanted to point out that in your first paragraph...your are explaining how is "should work.."..........not necessarily how it is working. I do undersatnd how we were told it would work.. I was only questioning if it's still working as advertised. dd
  12. For 6 years I am Estate manager of 2 adjacent private island sims using Agni main server on both. Meriland and Meridas. Sim crossing have been very good on these 2 SIMs for flying vehicles and walking Avatars for the last year. On wednesday night EST ,1 July......Sim crossing in both directions for both Walking Avatars and flying vehicles went totally crazy causing Avatars to either crash or after 60 sec to land on other side of the Sim we were entering. and When using flying vehicle..caused the vehicles to return to inventory as having gone off world. We had 3 other re
  13. Since you PC specs are very good..i am guessing you have also a fast internet connection speed. But just in case you dont,,,,you need to post your connection speed here. Its ashamed to have such problens on a true gaming speed PC. good luck solving it.

BUt ....what about assigning the "pathfinding attributes of the objects " in your region??? Is the new Special Pathfinder Viewer the only way to set these object attributes??? What about setting these attribuites on a Mainland Parcel? only method is special new Pathfinder Viewer?   16. Hi.. It would be helpful for you to say what method of teleport you are having the most trouble with....as there are many ways to TP. For example: a friend sends you a tp, you use a LM to tp, you use the map to tp by double clicking or use map to tp by entering location and coordinates...and probably a few others. Its well know that TP issues arise from wearing too many or poorly scripted attachments......or attachments with MONO scripts instead of LSL scripts So the first thing to try is taking off all attachments..... do some TPs........if all is well.... start re-attaching
  17. I have been seeing this same message for weeks now inside the Video tutorials window at the my SL website homepage. "We are experiencing some problems. Please stand by while we try to figure out what happened. If you continue to see this message, please contact support" Do any of the Linden Team know why this is not getting fixed??   18. Greetings, this sounds to me like a video card/graphics problem.......usually caused by over-heating of video card or graphics chip..........or the Video card /chip is just plane going bad. Running SL stresses / (creates more heat ) of a graphics card than any video game. There are a couple of graphics hardware option settings in the edit...preference......graphics settings of the viewer that can cause low frame rates if not set correctly. In "hardware options"...."enable VBO box needs to be checked. Good luck finding the problem...i know it can be very frustrating at times.
  19. You could try switching to a "third party viewer"........"imprudence" is a good one to use. I am assuming you are trying to use viewer 2,3 or new viewer. You can also try the old sl viewer 1.23.5...it is still available on the sl web site....

Is it true the prim limits of physical vehicles has now been increased to greater than 32? i saw a physical vehicle motorcycle of 64 normal prims that was working as a vehicle......(not attached to avatar) if so....what is the new prim limit for physical vehicles....and what Viewer is needed to create 64 prim phical vehicles?? thank you for any help you can offer..:)

UPDATE on details of problem: Two vehicle parameters have been effected ... since the Havok physics update . vehicle_linear_motor_friction_TIMESCALE in Y axis Vehicle_Linear_Motor_direction in the Y axis Also it is sensitive to the global direction that the vehicle is traveling in when sharp turn is made . If vehicle is going north or south and turns to the east or west...all works normal...... BUt if the vehicle is traveling east or west and turns north or south the vehicle fails to turn properly and slides severly.
  23. Vehicles (Dune buggy car) now severly sliding sideways on sharp turns ... since last server deploy of Agni main grid. It seems like the physics value for friction has changed ... thus becomming very slipery. I am not sure this is the actual cause....but this is how its effected. the cars are on a prim surface not land. We have 2 private island sims...and both exhibit this problem. Its not effecting airplanes...........so this is why i was guessing about physics friction.

Perhaps the higher script times being reported are the result of the following "bug fix" Improved 'Top Scripts' report Each object now reports an average script time per frame since the object was created or the last 30 minutes, whichever is shorter. This fixes a lot of odd behavior and misinformation in the previous results as well as makes it easier to determine recent lag sources instead of only immediate lag sources. It is still not expected for this result to exactly match the 'Script ms' reported in the simulator stats summary as these measure different things on different time scale
