I'm not sure if I should be happy because I'm not the odd one having this issue or be perplexed that several complains (including mine!) being posted in the forums, no one who works "here" has alerted someone who works "there" that mothership is having a problem. I've sent three tickets and basically the reply I get can be summarised into layman's terms as below: "Hi, someone already told you on the last 2 tickets what you should do, why haven't you listened to them?" (I replied "I DID", they just went quiet) "Hi, the other case number you referred to... I know what that is, but ...it is NOT my department's problem and it is not within my job's descriptions that I should be obligated to find out what is happening with it... Why don't you just figure it out yourself?" "Hi, just go away already!" I think it will be a real shame to the first line team if every single billing issues has to be solved by Calling them or by alerting the CEO. Imagine a hospital with all its ER staff with work policy like this? You'll probably get a better service seeing your local neighbourhood's Sensei.

I appreciate your help, Think... I have been a faithful user of LL's Viewer and yes it exist in V3 too. I had a chat with my neighbour in-world and he thinks that it might have been the issue of my IP and I might end up having to use a new credit card from another bank. I think this is too much of a hassle to go through just so I could keep my land in SL. Someone had insisted to cover for my tier at least for another month but with all that anxiety I had gone through... I have no desire to keep my land any longer. Now if only they could pay me back my stipends...

Yep! I called the bank and insist on speaking with a person who works in the fraud/security department. They confirmed with me that they have not blocked LL/SL or Global Collect from making transactions with their bank. Furthermore, whenever I removed and re-registered the same credit card to my account, it will deduct 1USD from my CC. That should tell me that LL or the Bank accepted my Credit Card/transaction. Problem happens when I tried to buy some lindens. And as I stated above, I don't even receive my weekly stipends anymore when I paid for a full year premium. My premium is still active. ETA: Does anyone knows which Linden is in charge of the Billing department? I'd like to post in their Feed. Otherwise,I'll have to "trend" my issue in my own feed to get my message across.

What friggin happened? I was going to reply to Randall's post.. It was out of topic and I'm pretty sure he had a different agenda if not sentiments about my OP (or myself, personally), but he made some good "bottom line" points that I would love to disagree with. Anyways... bygone...

I've been issues with my billing account for more than a month now. I've submitted a ticket and I've been transferred from Scout to Billing Support with a new Incident number but they weren't able to solve my issue. The last person who responded to me informed that my case has been transferred to another department and I will be contacted within 5 working days. That was about 3 weeks ago. I submitted another ticket a week ago and I was replied by a Linden to refer to the person who last contacted me and she was referring to my first submitted ticket which by the way, was "Closed" by them. I replied to her that my case has been submitted to Billing Support with a new Incident number. She never replied back and my newly submitted case was erased from my history. Nice going... Well now... I have just realised, on top of not being able to use my credit card (which was working fine and dandy for the past 2 years.. I've also used the same Credit Card as PayPal for my other accounts) and not being able to use PayPal, I have not been receiving my weekly stipends since my last submitted ticket. My premium account is still active for another 7 months or so... I've done almost everything I can... Revised my paypal, create an alt with the same payment, revised my account details... I even got my poor old man (he is less than 60 :matte-motes-big-grin:) to create his own account with his credit card but he was having the same issue himself. I do not have any other credit card and I do not live in the U.S of A, so I can't maximised the use of PayPal. Worst of all, I think my dad (who loves me unconditionally) may be thinking that I'm nuts for getting sand in my knickers because I was not able to waste my money in SL. I did resubmitted another ticket today. That Linden girl will not be happy.. now. Another problem is, in 6 days, if my issue is not solved... I will definitely have to abandon ALL my parcels that I've put up so much of money in it. I've already done half of it a few weeks ago because I couldn't generate enough lindens in my account to convert to USD. Now, I won't be able to generate any cash at all. I don't want to start creating things so I can sell it in Marketplace. You all don't need extra crap in there especially from me. I just enjoy building stuff... and I enjoy SL in general. But it seems like my only option now is to start becoming a ... MERCHANT!!... Have you seen any *happy* merchants in this forum? Which is kinda ironic, I guess, because disposable RL income is not an issue here. Disposing it in Second Life, is the issue. So, now... to get my freak on... I've gone to another virtual world (no.. not *that* world) to start a new life... make them a little richer... using the same Credit Card that LL had rejected. At least I'm happy and content for the time being.. But I still want my stipends back in SL... and I still want my Billing Account solved... with the same and the only credit card I have. I'm wondering if this is happening with other people as well?

I assume when you say internet stick you mean your mobile 3G sim card? 3G/4G sim card may not run as good as a Wimax, WiFi or Cable internet. I have a 3G which clocked at 12MB per download/seconds. Yet my SL runs faster on my Wimax which is only 1.98MB tops on a dowonload seconds. - Try disabling HTTP Textures on your viewer.. It worked on some users before. - You are up in the sky doesn't mean the sim you are in is not script heavy area. If there are too many active/running scripts in that area it will impact your avatar performance eventhough there are a few avatars in it. You yourself could be script heavy. ETA: You have a high end laptop. Have you tried using FIrestorm or V3 and see if it will make an improvement on the texture rendering at least?

that hardware configuration looks looks very good. I'm a laptop user myself and I ran slighty on the lower end of your specifications. What about your internet connection? What do you mean by lag? Textures not rendering well or your movement & scripts are not running as fast as you think it should be? Has this ever happened before?

I'd like to think it as this... SL is searching for the younger crowd. Younger crowd meaning those below 25 years old who grew up with Facebook. SL is a social platform and while it was the thing about 4 years ago, it has been shadowed with the much faster, more informative and seemingly vibrant Facebook, MySpace & Twitter types of social platform. If SL wants to continue its presence in the internet, they need to start looking at the future generation trend of socialising. Whether you like it or not, Facebook is leading the pack. SL cannot remain as it is. Older generations like us WILL Grow old and die... If SL is treating its platform as a retirement place for the "been there, done that... let me re-lived 'em before I die" residents, then I don't think LL would have generate enough sustaining power to compete for the future. SL still has the niche and will continue providing those niches. But it will be approached in a slightly different way to placate the younger generation's palate. We do not see a big difference now... we see a lot more Facebookers dropping out from SL ... but eventually they'll come back and will be here to stay. About 10 years ago, HIS was slowly introduced to the healthcare institutions and there were big uproar and threatening of resignations from the heatlhcare workers especially among the physicians. Adopting and adapting was almost impossible. Eventually, they grew accustomed to it. Today, they are demanding for a much faster, much more sophisticated software and hardware because pen and paper is just simply time consuming. These demands are mostly from the much younger physicians who grew up having a computer at home. Where are the old timers? They had to go back and learn to type and hold the mouse properly in order to compete with the younger physicians. SL, will become one too. The Key word here is "Eventually".

Personally, I prefer the first and the last one. Huang would be my first choice for a good looking chinese looks only problem is i'm not sure the inworld skin quality is as good as it shows in the image.

Hi Ronald, I would go with Valerie on this one. Ryuta has some really good modern Japanese looks with a little bit of polynesian/mongolian angular features. I've seen some pretty good male asian shapes but they rarely comes with good skin.

Oh yes, some of Grim's combat zone doesn't allow automatic weapons and reload time less than 2 seconds. So, if you modified your script do not make it Auto and just increase the bullet counts. Make sure the reload time is not less than the 2 seconds.

Get a free box of gun. Modify the script to 3000 bullets and set Auto to yes. Set Damage to 100% in the bullet's script Retexture your guns as you like it! Voila! Mean looking Guns with a personal touch from you.

My boss told me to get an account in the company's official SL registration site so I could explore the new buildings that would be used as a demo and virtual meetings in the future. It was a trial phase and he wanted to get people whom at least had played The Sims before to try out this place and give their feedback. I logged in and materialised in the company's sim. There was no Orientation Island for me nor Welcome Areas. So I kinda roamed around in that sim not knowing what to do and just left, double, right clicking on stuff to see if it was interactive. Of course, I got bored after half an hour. I thought maybe I should just focus on my avatar and see if I could change her makeups and hair. And, I did... I had my avatar stripped to her granny's underwears, her brows was as thick as Mario's, her face looked like a clown, her hair was detached about 1 meter from her now bald head. I was getting upset for not being able to figure out why I wasn't able to get her completely naked. What I didn't know was that, whatever I do in the open everyone will be able to see it. That was when James, the cute shy guy from the graphic department logged in. My avatar was only within eyesight of the TP area. He saw me, moved near me without as much as saying Hi or Welcome. He stood there for a few minutes (probably laughing at his desk in RL) watching me before walking away into the building. At this time, I was still thinking that I was in an invisible mode and he couldn't see what I was doing. About 5 minutes later, I managed to get my underwears to the skimpiest numbers... remember I was trying to get her naked. It was then when I saw at least 5 more avatars tp'd in! They saw me and came circling my avatar, again, without saying anything. I thought it was the strangest thing I've encountered in any games I have played. That was when I got a pager from James in RL to get the hell out of there. I rang him up to ask and he told me that those guys were executives who wanted to have a look at the demo themselves. They were using skype to communicate and I was currently the hot topic! They thought I was a bot and I was part of the live demo and that they were actually impressed by it. I was quite embarrased, logged off, cancelled that account and created a new one. Since that account was strictly for RL work, I couldn't use it for casual activities. So I created my third account under SL's official website and went through all the usual orientation and tutorials.

1. Right Click on your hair and Select Edit under Edit select Stretch .... on the side there is an option if you want to Stretch Both Side... Unchecking means you'll have to adjust the each buttons. And then use Move to move your colourful 'cursor / axis' up, down and sides. You can't exactly make it short but you can resized and readjust the hair to make it appear shorter. 2. If you can't do this, left click once on your hair and see if it is scripted. A pop up box will appear and it will ask if you want to adjust or resize the hair. 3. If the hair is unscripted and you can't edit, it means it has no Modify permission. I think the only you can do it Move it but not resizing. PS: Which shop did you bought your hair from?
