In my case, I don't see the point in posting when I am abandoning a parcel because the LP has become so glutted that there's little chance someone can try to catch a particular home. There seems to be a ton of houses in the queue right now. I'd hate to dangle a house in Rocky Heights (for example) and have someone waste all their tries getting Gridlock. lol

I think your decor choices are always really eye-catching and interesting, so please do tell us about them!

I'm also not sure what the point of this discussion is, but I assume that there will eventually be enough of all styles that anyone who wants a Linden home can have the style they choose at any time. I believe that's how it's been with the old Linden homes regions for a long time now, and it's how it should be. This is a perk of being premium, and of course, LL will want to have it finally shake out so that anyone who signs up is not disappointed when they can't get the style they like best. It's just good business to make sure there are plenty of homes, and if there are spares, then that makes sense, too. People can hop around and try out many styles without denying others. I love seeing a full land page; it means everyone can have a home. Not everyone wants to live on Mainland or to pay rent to someone else, so having a full selection of very attractive Linden Homes is a great goal to shoot for.

Usually it would mean after January 1. This week between Christmas and New Year's Day tends to be when a lot of people in the USA take vacation breaks.

@MalayaaI can't answer your other questions (though if you look under my OP home, you will see an alligator), but yes, you put an @ in front of someone's name, and a little pop up thing should give you their name and photo to click on so you can tag them, like I did here.

There have been stilts on the land page every single time I have checked today. Have you looked there?

You can claim five homes every 24 hours, and it's a rolling thing so that 24 hours after the first claim, you will be able to claim one again, etc.

The neighbors probably just need to reset their controllers by clicking and holding until a message appears saying it's resetting. Then leave it alone for a minute, then they should get a menu. That method worked for me.

You should take a look at this thread but it sounds OK from what info you have given. You can also get a free Linden-approved orb in the content pack for your home (click on the same mailbox/whatever where you change house styles).

To be fair, you have noted yourself several times that not everyone reads the forums. And we all know that not everyone is in that in world group. There is going to be a lot of people who simply have not seen Patch's request, through no fault of their own.

Here is my little pier home. I didn't even really want a stilt but had to join in the fun, and this is so cute I think I do want one after all! It has a little island behind it, and a vehicle rez zone nearby.

That's not what I was trying to say. I mean, OL homes from the first released regions were abandoned, and are still being abandoned, and are going through the queue ahead of the OL homes you are seeing in newer regions.

I was wondering if there are a lot of OL homes that were quickly abandoned, and if they are floating through the queue ahead of the newer regions' OL homes.

One easy way to tell is to go look at the claim dates/times on the parcels there.

Oh, you are fine! I'm talking about people taking multiple alts into a newly released region and seeing how many homes they can get.

Aside from blocking others from having a chance, since Patch has asked that people not play GOH right now (not catch and release for a few days), it really is in the best interests of everyone to not be too grabby. There will be time enough for that later when a full release happens.

I think it would be awesome if people could resist bringing in all their alts right now when the releases are so limited, so that one person isn't taking multiple spots in a single region.

That's what I decided to do, too. I'm not in a hurry, so am avoiding the stampede (and seeing what nice "other theme" abandons I catch while I wait).
