  1. like everything else.....i feel LL are neglecting their products!
  2. Well....the lack of performance with Marketplace, should encourage consumers to return to In-World shopping again.!.....after all they did sign up to participate in 3D Virtual World enviroment. :matte-motes-tongue:

I've heard from several people on my Friends List returning to shopping in-world...due to Marketplace delivery issues. It's become a bit of a lottery....admittedly it such a small sample, but if that continues to be replicated...it might mean a gradual return to more in-world commerce. For many in-world Merchants it's come too late though!

  5. There are over 50 million Americans which traces back to German roots....in fact its the largest segment from all of the old countries in Europe....even more than English, Italian, Spanish, Irish, Dutch and French.
  6. FBI Bots contracted by the US Govt in lieu of SOPA passing through at some stage.! :matte-motes-agape:
  7. ,,,but you have to feed the Amarettos i.e unnessary additional costs. You would be better off to buying a non-breedable horse which you can still ride. You cna buy them from AKK Ranch or Erin Talamasca or one of the other established creators.
  8. Thanks Innula it all works how it's suposed to. :matte-motes-smile: I used Scriptish instead of GreaseMonkey....plus i had an older version Firefox. It worked straightaway once i got latest FireFox.
  9. A DJ playing music in a club enviroment...actually inspire consumers to to buy some of those records (or albums). I've bought many an Album from hearing a track being played in a club....sometimes I've even approached the DJ to get name of artist & title name.
  10. Very good posts Toysoldier...and very eloquent too! :matte-motes-smile: WADE I understand where you are coming from....but these tri-law proposals are not the solutions....in will do more damage than good in the long run, possibly reducing the amount of venues you can sell your products in..

At each stage in the process, you should see the entry in the Search In drop-down change to reflect the sub-category you are in, and any search you do for Keywords will be confined to that sub-category and its children. Yep, I understand what should happen.....but it doesn't. I get the 2nd tree "Apparel" .....as i go deeper, it goes back to the default of "All Categories" What i did notice though, and i can't do anything about it......when you track back the files using Windows explorer...it has shorten both folder name and user.fs file name......from "SL Marketplace search combobox extender"....to "sl_marketplace_search_co".....I think there lies the problem. In GreaseMonkey it's listed correctly....but not within the folders in Firefox files under " Documents & Settings" by user I get the shorten file names.
  12. I'm the complete opposite to you...i rarely have drama on the Grid, but historically much more on these Forums.....with the likes of that nutter Suspiria and those similar types.!
  13. followed your instructions.. I see it in GreaseMonkey list of scripts....just don't get the results on Marketplace that the creator had. Don't get "Womens Boots" in the box "Search In."
  14. Can't get it to work,,,,saw the location of the user.js file...edited it with Chalice's script. Did not work on Marketplace using her example
  15. couldn't save that extension for either notepad or wordpad...as they don't provide that extensions as an option.
  16. I have Grease Monkey...can't figure how to add the script. Any tips (steps) will be appreciated

Ciaran Laval wrote: I use twitter, flickr, facebook with pages, not with a profile and I'm not touching Google + with a bargepole until they allow people to post pages like Facebook do, without a personal profile. I have 3 Facebook accounts tied to 3 different email accounts (1 is my main SL Alt account) ...the other 2 are totally plucked out of the air. Facebook don't have my true identity or my main email account.....same deal with Twitter
  18. Yep, Tara seems to covered all the bases....you'd be wise to devise a plan around her suggestions. I'm not sure about spending money on Classified, as they don't seem to be as effective as years gone by......youu might try placing a token advert for say 100 L....so at least you have some presence there.
  19. Apez packed up a long time ago....they left SL in Dec 2010 . I think there website is gone too
  20. Linden Lab has a great resource for ideas & innovation.....it's existing customers! There are plenty of passionate SL'ers who want to see Second Life succeed and grow....myself included (lol-kind of hard to imagine when reading my posts attacking LL). Maybe it would be wise for LL to start tapping into that resource for workable ideas & solutions....instead of taking stabs in the dark, on what they might think will work for SL. (constantly trying to change it's identity or trying to attract different audiences e.g now it's Facebook)

I supported him at first, but it became old very quickly. Contrast to Prok, another forum legend. I'm a great fan of hers, been a tenant of hers a few times, and respect her posts as being varied and reasoned. :-) Quite often tl;dr but at least they have a point. I enjoy reading many of Proks posts too...but not all! Love her or hate her...she does have a lot to say and many times she's has had very valid views which one could identify with. Thats' the beauty of the Internet ...it allows for diversity from one scale to another (Wasted Engineer to Prokofy Neva with everyhting else in between!) :matte-motes-wink-tongue: PS Good post Latisha...that's the way i see it

We're actually pretty darn united still when you compare us to a lot of places. From extremes like Sri Lanka where the majority Sinhala ethnicity waged a genocide against the Tamils for the last several decades, to lesser situations like actual separatist movements in the UK (Scotland) and Canada (Quebec). Americans may not like each other, but we're not yet to a stage of splitting of open violence; though the right-wing side has begun some isolated attacks (such as flying a plane into an IRS building and the shooting of a Congresswoman). I'm not talking about sections of the country going into rebellion...I meant about your individual rights & freedoms as a singular person with all this current wave of U.S legislation. How do you like your Patriot Act for example? N.B. Scotland have been wanting separate autonomy for 100's of years....it won't be a huge issue if they have their own Government...it might be better for both parties.

Yep, but you asked for Advertising companies to help your exposure in-world......you don't need them for your above list. as one could easily perform those. Did you mean Advertising companies that will help identify the Regions of high traffic and where to best place your affiliate vendors or Advertising boards?
  24. Agree kitte - a good many consumers. especially the new arrivals....don't understand the amount of RL manhours it takes to create some of these Second Life products. Original adult skins in Photoshop can take hundreds of manhours before a whole series of options become available to SL public to purchase....and they wonder why they are priced accordingly. Ok one generates mass sales from the original artwork....but in this market, where cheap skins,. stolen skins and free skins are prevalant.....one has to weigh up if it's really worthwhile in the first instance. A few years ago it was certainly worthwhile.....nowadays if you're not a SL Brand name...I'm not so sure!
