This frequently violated rule made me chuckle: Is the venue arrival experience free of unsolicited group invites, notecards and other inventory offers? These notifications are confusing to many new Residents, who are unfamiliar with how groups and inventory work in Second Life. Most are on Basic and have no inventory ability too. We never bothered with join bots and notecard givers for the club. What does help is an audio file in the landing plot that explains where you are and what you can expect. We used that on a sim we did ages ago and it was great.

Okay, heres the taskk ...post your favorite signatures youve seen or favorite quotes you know that would be good for a signature. Post on! 8. Cameron Vasiliov wrote: Ok I understand the situation now, I know this is not related but I need to ask: when the item definetly wasn't delivered I don't understand WHY! they can leave a Review and RATE with an awful little star! Also they can rate even when they have not payed for it and the item is in "Being Delivered" status. Is this another "Bug" LL you need to fix? or this is how the system will work from now on? Yikes! I have never seen this. They paid, you got the money, they did not get item [yet] and they left a review? They did not pay, you did not get money, but they left a review? I don't understand having never had this happen. What would really help is if we were notified upon product review by email.
  9. Toysoldier Thor wrote: The 3rd issue you did not mention is : SLM ORDER with a Status of DELIVERED to the Merchant but the Customer states they have not received the goods. The only way SLM Merchants are aware of this problem is if the customer communicates to the Merchant that their product was not delivered. This has happened to me on a couple ocassions in the past few days as a Merchant and it has happened to me as a Customer last weekend. Is LL resolving this issue - which to me is the most critical and serious one since there is no Record / Evidence to the Merchant that there is a problem - we cannot even proactively approach these customers since we dont know they are having a problem ? Toy, there is no re-deliver option? In cases like this I have chosen to re-deliver the item after I check my Dashboard Transaction and SLM order if the Customer contacts me.
  10. Cierrah Blair wrote: I have tryed to submit this in Create Case but it keeps telling me i am missing info and the box is blank. My maine problem is i got over charged in SL market place and i'm not sure how i get my l$ back. Apperently Live Chat and Phone is only for premium accounts. /me runs i check and see if this is one of my customers, discovers it is not and breathes a sigh of relief. Contact the merchant via notecard or Im and include Transaction number and I am sure they will help. I do hope the shopping carts are getting purged after being abandoned for a set time.

LL never engages in any healthy solution discussions with Mechants) ... Yesterday's CTUG meeting was a wonderful experience in open brainstorming about possible solutions to a "problem" .. AND happened at the behest of Amanda and her team. I left that meeting feeling energized and positive about the process. It may be that none of our ideas or suggestions get used .. but frankly I would be astonished if they did dump the whole lot of them because there were some gems in there. Unfortunately .. and for whatever reason .. the Marketplace Team seems not to follow the same beneficial methods being proven effective by the CTUG and Sim Dev teams, but I can't say "LL never...." because I'm seeing examples of "LL doing..." Whatever rope is around Brooke's neck holding her and her team back from talking WITH us .. I wish someone would cut it loose and let them ENGAGE with us. Within the scope of what I am invited to or engaged with related to the LL staff, my position stands. I am surprised Amanda called upon LL Merchants to engage in solution development and yet Brooke did not participate in this meeting? I would also have to think that the whole Dash Deal concept had to - at least in part - have some Amanda input. Anyway... I stand by my statement from my perspective. I have seen COUNTLESS great ideas brought up and discussed and try to be championed inside the formal LL Commerce forums. I challenge you Darrius to point me to 3 threads in these forums whereby Brooke or the Commerce team said - "wow you all make a good point lets discuss this further and see if we can figure this out or address it". AND PS - I dont mean Brooke calling a meeting with a common select few of her fave merchants to simply pretend to listen to the concerns and then simply say "thanks but we are still gonna do things our way" PPS - What does CTUG stand for? Community Tools User Group here are the minutes http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Community_Tools_User_Group/21-April-2011 The problem solving was about new user help.

  13. Since our submission just made the Guide and we carefully submitted a photo to the specs, I was sort of surprised that another photo was used. I am not complaining, just curious as to why? :smileywink:
  14. Agreed, outsourced that host/server? Seems that having eggs in different baskets might be trouble too:smileywink: [uPDATED 10:15 am PDT] We have identified the cause of the issue as an external hosting provider problem. Please monitor this post for updates to this situation
  15. Do things like YouTube play on that computer? Not logged into SL but just on the net?
  16. Well, the first DashDeal is out. I will link the blog posts as they appear. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Featured-News/Introducing-Dash-Deals-on-the-SL-Marketplace/ba-p/826981 Why am I thinking that most merchants who post here will not be part of this? :smileywink:
  17. What will happen to the Land Market for Magic Box Storage when DD gets released? For a platform that bases [at a glance] their income on land tier, there is an undercurrent of errosion going on at LR. :smileysurprised:
  18. WhiteBoi360 wrote: I'm new to selling on the marketplace.. I think I have the process down now. Except I had one question about magic boxes. Is it possible to rez one at a sandbox and have it actually working? Not without the owner of the Sandbox permission. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Selling-in-the-Marketplace/ta-p/700193 Note: The Magic Box must stay inworld permanently, or as long as you want to sell the items inside it. If you don't have a permanent place to rez your Magic Box, you can buy a piece of land to keep it on.
