  1. Hi Apparently the Kudos section of help did not update! Sorry. It will be added back in soon. Here is the info: The Kudos option is available in Second Life Answers, the Knowledge Base and the Creation Forums. For any content that you like, just click on the Kudos button to show your agreement with an answer or comment. Kudos let you vote for the messages that you think are the most useful or important. Kudos boost the value of a message, which may turn it into a hot topic. This extra visibility may encourage others to read the message. How to Give or Revoke Kudos: To give Kudos to a message and its author, just click the Kudos Badge on the message. If you change your mind about the quality of the message, you can revoke your Kudos by choosing Options > Revoke My Kudos from this Message. The Kudos count is then updated and the Kudos badge shows that you can now give the message Kudos again. Want to know who thinks a message is good? It's easy to find out which regular community members and community experts have given Kudos to a message. Kudos that come from experienced community members may carry more weight -- literally -- than those that come from brand new members. To see who's given Kudos to a message: Go to the message page. Click the Kudos total. The Who Kudoed this Message page shows you all the community members who've given Kudos to the message. Kudos Weight: Your Kudos weight is the number of Kudos that you give each time you click a Kudos icon. Kudoes weight is currently set to 1. Want to know who thinks your messages are Kudos-worthy? Your Profile page is the place to start. You can also see Kudos activity for other community members on their Profile pages. To see who's given you Kudos: Click your log-in name to go to your Profile page. Your Profile page shows the names of community members who gave you Kudos, the messages they Kudoed, your top Kudoed messages, and the Kudos you've given. To see all of your recent Kudos activity in an area, click the view all link at the bottom of the list. Your Kudos Activity page shows the recent Kudos you've given or received. Click the tabs to see more info about your Kudos activity. You cannot give a kudo? There are a few reasons why you might not be able to give Kudos to a post. You've already given Kudos to this message (you can only give them once). You wrote the message (you can't give Kudos to your own messages). Your community manager wants you to give Kudos only to a message that starts a thread and not to replies. The Kudos option is off for a specific message or forum. Kudos are frozen for the message. You can still see how many Kudos that the message has received, but you can't give it Kudos anymore. If the Kudos number vanishes: Sometimes a message gets so many Kudos that we run out of space to show the number. When that happens you'll see a red Hot Kudos symbol or icon instead of the Kudos count on the Kudos badge.

  3. Kylie Jaxxon wrote: Lexie, although it allows those options in the topics, it doesn't show that option in "Answers"...at least, not to me, unless I'm missing it :smileysurprised: I think you are right! Let me dig into this more. Update: Cerise explains it here!
  4. PeterCanessa Oh wrote: LOTS of complaints about Answers being sorted in 'newest first' order. EVERYONE who commented saying they want to see them in 'oldest first' order - the way they were posted. MANY complaints about stupid ranks and kudos. RESULT: Now there isn't even an option to sort in 'oldest first' order - all I get is f***ing 'newest first' or 'most kudos'. How the FFFF is anyone going to follow even a short discussion if there is no logical order to the posts? ESPECIALLY when the sodding things don't even say to whom they are a reply. This is unusable. I'll look at answers every few days to see if it's changed but otherwise I'm not using the thing any more. Hi Thanks for the feedback. See the image for how to sort by oldest. :smileyhappy:

  6. CodeWarrior Carling wrote: In the settings page, under the social connect tab, there is a section dedicated to setting up your profile badge. There appear to be two panels to this section - "Badge Settings" and "Profile Badge" - however, clicking either of these selections shows exactly the same choices. I can't help but think that there is a missing panel that would let us choose the text size, colors, background alpha and such for the overlay on the background image. Is this shut off intentionally, or just a feature that they haven't gotten working yet? I see what you are talking about. I will check on it. Thanks for pointing it out!
  7. Hi The team is looking at what can be done to increase image uploads. Will keep you updated as we learn more!
  8. The Community Help information will be updated as soon as possible! Sorry for the confusion. . Resident ranks can now insert Youtube Videos.
  9. Great thread. Hope you don't mind that I floated it to the top for everyone to see? ~ Lexie
  10. @Cato: "Hand on heart" the moderators on these forums are not secret residents. They are experienced moderators. ~ Lexie
  11. Adding additional information or clarifications in the comments of a KB article is a very good idea! Those with the ability to draft articles and Linden KB editors can check comments for community input. Sidenote: That's why the Advisor rank has this ability. People who are very experienced with Second Life will be able to spot a KB that is out of date or needs a bit more info.
  12. I agree. Unfortunately that is not an available feature. If it becomes available we will let everyone know!
  13. Hi The filters for spam also include private messages. Also not that it is possible to ignore a user in private messages. That could be helpful.
  14. Here is the Off Topic forum many of you have asked to have.  Please remember it is important to follow the guidelines in this forum. :smileyhappy: Update: I forgot to note that this forum, since it is "off topic", does not give points for posts.
  15. Smilies are now fixed! :smileyvery-happy: No more jumpy smiles!
  16. We just raised the signature height to 64 from 48 pixels. Hopefully that will help a bit. The width is already set at 100%.
  17. @ Argus, kudos will be available soon! You can look here to see the general permissions for each role: FAQ
  18. To learn more about ranks/roles, please take a look here. Also, since posts and answers are part of the formula that sets the ranks, old posts and answers stats from the Jive platform can have an impact on the starting rank here.
  19. Hi You can change your view of a thread from the Topic Options menu. :smileyhappy:
  20. Hi You actually can. To configure your profile to jump to the firstunread thread in a post, there is an option within my settings. It can be foundhere: My Settings -> Preferences -> Linear Layout -> Check Jump tofirst unread post in a topic. also The icons change on the Forums and in Answers when there are new responses you have not seen. Take a look in Community Help: Forum icons and Answers icons. Hope this helps! Lots of new stuff to discover in this platform. :smileyhappy:
  21. This particular forum was set up with just the 4 threads so we can keep all the feedback for each space in one spot. so, you are correct. No new threads here.
  22. I see what you mean George and agree. Great feedback on that. Thanks! I am not sure it can be done, but will follow up on it.
