  1. Hi Official active Lindens who have logged into the forums (on this platform we are using since 2009) will have the last name "Linden" and the hand icon. First active log in is when that icon will appear. Also, old/inactive accounts are not removed since it may break conversations if those posts vanished. Hope that helps clear up the confusion!
  2. Good Feedback, thanks! We have been talking about possible doing this!
  3. I will see if that is an option Knowl. Thanks for the feedback!
  4. @Lilyan and Jhasmin Each person can only vote one time. As soon as they place a vote, the kudo option will no longer function for them. Hope that helps!
  5. Hi Irene I will check and see if there is any setting that will fix this issue Thanks!
  6. Hi Jhasmine Each person is only allowed to vote one time. Once you do vote, the ability to vote on other entries disappears.
  7. Thanks for the feedback! We will keep the suggestions in this thread in mind for the next contest! Good points!
  8. Hi Irene Thank you for pointing that out! It is fixed. Since we have a central location for our Knowledge Base, we don't need individual instances of it showing up.
  9. Irene Rand may have a work around and will post it here. Thanks.
  10. I have asked a tech to look a this.
  11. Mickey I have floated your thread for all users. There seems to be a bug from when it was moved. (When not floated, it vanishes.) From another thread where I responded: If a thread is removed due to the majority of the posts being outside the guidelines; the OP will be notified. It isn't possible for the mods to contact each person in the thread. They just do not have the available time to do that and also keep on top of all the other forum activity. That said, we are making efforts to not remove whole threads unless it is really necessary. It is understandable that an author who spent time writing a good post, would be frustrated if it vanishes. Re: Single post removal: If a single post is removed, there is a reason. The post would be removed and given a warning or other appropriate action notice. If a user has their PM's turned off and needs to be given a notice, the moderators will let me know and I will follow up. Also: I will be updating the guidelines (or creating some other visible public document) to help clarify the issues around post/thread moves and removals. I will post a notice in the forums when that update has been done.
  12. Pep wrote: @Lexie: we don't have questions about how the Guidelines themselves are being applied. Pep (we are questioning the way in which the Moderation Team appear to be acting upon unwritten codes of conduct that have not been published and regarding which posters have not been informed of the specifics of transgressions.) I will be updating the guidelines or creating some other type public notice for clarity as soon as possible.
  13. Hi https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Community_Tools_User_Group is where you can add agenda items. But, unfortunately I will not be here next Thursday. It's ok to add items to the agenda now though so they are listed. @ thread participants: I am going to move this thread to the feedback forum. and A Reminder: Moderators are only human. They treat everyone the same under the guidelines. If you have a question on the guidelines and how they are being applied, contact me or one of the moderators. Reasonable and calm discussion goes a long away. Thanks
  14. Moved to a more appropriate board
  15. Darrius Gothly wrote: Thank you Lexie. I totally understand about not notifying "the crew" when a whole thread is pulled. I am glad to hear though that when a single post is pulled, the individual post's author is notified. (I suspect they don't need an explanation in most cases, but at least they need a heads-up.) I know some folks have their IMs turned off. When someone has turned off their IMs, do your Mods send out email notifications instead, or does their notification just vanish? I ask because I suspect some of the people being most vocal about not getting notifications are also those that have their IMs disabled. You make a good point here and are likely correct! If the moderators see that a user has no PM available, they will notify me, so I can try to reach the resident with the info. I cannot guarantee that a user has a valid email or gets all their IMs either. So, it's possible a person won't get that notification. I am in contact with Lithium for any updates that will help us resolve this issue.

  18. Hi Thanks for checking about the 2nd try on image upload. I knew it couldn't be that easy Yes, I think more could get broken. I do not think it is happening every time though, which is odd. I will ask Lithium for an update tomorrow. Peewee Musytari wrote: HI Lexie, Yeah I updated mine again with the same name, but it gets a new URL or forum ID or whatever its called, so it isn`t technically the same image as far as the system is concerned. WTG for finding out the cause though, as mine was a smiley that I used quite a lot, there is a good chance it had been in one or more posts that got removed, so that makes sense. Does it mean more can get broken now until Lithium comes up with a fix?
  19. Rhett and Teddy Linden jumped on this. It is fixed
  20. Hi, just a quick update! It looks like if an image was used in a post or a thread that was deleted, somehow it causes an error with that image in your album. Lithium is working on a fix for this bug now. I am curious: Has anyone tried to upload the image that gives the error, a second time. If it is named the same..I wonder if that would change anything. (Wild guess, I am no techy)
  21. Hi Agreed. Threads with the majority of the posts being on topic and within the guidelines should be left. There have been instances where the majority were really off topic or not following the guidelines, so those threads would be removed. I think it is fine to discuss how we can make communication better here on the forums. I do see your point and maybe we can be more lenient on pulling whole threads. We will work on this. Thanks for the feedback! Pamela Galli wrote: I would just like to make clear my purpose in making this thread, which is not to question moderators' judgment in determining when a post is over the line, according to the guidelines I linked above. I don't have any problem with the individual posts that are being pulled -- either they are over the line or close enough that it is clear to me why they were pulled -- but my opinion is really beside the point, which is that unless the whole thread violates guidelines, it is best to just delete offending posts or lock the thread.
