  1. When you placed the scripts in an object, a copy should have remained in your inventory. Are you sure it's not there?
  2. Remove any alpha clothing layer you may be wearing. (Right click yourself, select Take Off/Clothing/More/Alpha)
  3. I believe it was Benjamin Franklin who said, "Three people can keep a secret, if two of them are dead." Your friend was wrong to pass on the information and you can AR them, but unless you have evidence like IM logs, I doubt that LL will do anything about it. You were wrong to share that information. You should have known that if you did so, the chances of it being revealed were very real.
  4. LL has stopped listing "approved" third party linden exchange sites. I like VirWox personally, but there are other reputable sites. Look for a site that uses the "Linden Lab Exchange Risk API". Do NOT under any circumstances buy $L from someone on eBay.
  5. Linden Lab has no authority outside of Second Life. If you know their SL avatar name, you could file an abuse report, and LL could ban them from SL. But that would not prevent them from continuing to advertise their product on YouTube. If they use any of LL's trademarks or logos in their advertising, you could report them for violating LL's trademark policy. Conceivably, LL could then sue them for trademark infringement. EDIT: I searched YouTube and the most recent upload for "copybot" produces a demo of a copybot viewer from "kinggoon.com". This site has been known for phishing, scamming, malware, and all manner of bad things. Anyone who goes there or downloads anything from them is asking for trouble.
  6. I wouldn't report it. From the statements in your log, the person is under college age...but they could still be 16-18.
  7. It's not illegal, but no one can force you to participate if you don't want to. What you have encountered is a "slave market". You can find these in Gorean and BDSM role play areas. Some people enjoy being "slaves". Besides the role play, there are often financial advantages. Some slave markets give the slave a part of the sale proceeds (though not usually. You're a SLAVE, after all!) Owners are generally expected to provide for their slaves...and in fact, a common complaint of owners is, "I spent a fortune on skins, clothes, and hair to make my slave beautiful, and then she ran off on me!" That's a dirty trick to play on someone, but it does happen. Done in good faith on both sides, owner/slave roleplay can be fun for both parties. And I say this despite the fact that I'm completely opposed to real life slavery in any form.
  8. Check to see that your magic box is still in world, and re-set it if necessary.
  9. In addition to Rolig's excellent answer, here are some things to look for in choosing a skin. Wear the demo, and take off all your clothes, hair, and any tattoos you are wearing. Try several poses, using a bed, poseballs, or modelng poses. Make sure that some of them bend your avatar. Look at the buttocks area and the insides of the thighs. The avatar mesh is very low detail in this region. NO skin is going to look great, but some will handle it better than others. Check the under-bust shading. If it's too extreme, after a while it can look artificial...less like shadowing and more as if you were wearing contouring makeup. Check the face carefully. Does the makeup work with your shape? You may need to tweak your facial features with the appearance sliders to get you back to looking like "you". Since you say "noob alert", you might not HAVE a shape that you are wedded to yet...or you might not feel at home with the appearance sliders. Some skin makers sell a shape along with the skins that is designed to work with those particular skins and will give you the look of the model in the photos. Check around the top of the head, back of the head, neck, arm and shoulders, waist. Look for places that seem to show any sort of discontinuity. Move your camera all around yourself. Look at the skin in different lighting. If you use a facelight, look at the skin with it off, and with it on. Try the different makeup options in the demo. Do you like them? Are they suitable for long term wear, or would this be a skin you'd wear for special occasions? And these days, with all the makeup tatts out there...is there a "natural" makeup version that will let you get creative with makeup tattoos? Get a second opinion. Ask a friend for her help. Sometimes others can see things that we miss! I'm not familiar with Al Vulo. If you love them, then that's what you should get! Some other very popular skin makers are Curio, LaQ, Redgrave, Amacci, and Belezza.
  10. If she tried changing to a skin that she knows does not have the "modesty underwear" painted on, but still sees the old "modesty" skin, it's a bake fail issue. See this helpful page. http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_bake_fail
  11. You can drive anything! Watch out for banlines, sim crossings, security orbs, and irritable residents with weaponry
  12. It depends on the price you set. If it is within the first one or two entries in the Current Orders data, the order will usually fill in a couple of days. If it's too far out of the trading range, it will never be filled.
  13. It goes to anyone in the group who has the "receive group dividends and pay group liabilities" feature checked in their group role. By default, this is everyone in the group, but most groups that charge an enrollment fee have owners that are savvy enough to change this.
  14. I suspect a PayPal problem. I have a PayPal account verified with a bank account, and have no problems.
  15. Whoever said that, Valerie? I suggest products I like all the time...although I don't promote my OWN products.
  16. Try the following: 1. Find the file slplugin.exe and set it to run in Windows 95 Compatibility mode. (Since you run multiple viewers, you'll have to find and change all the copies of slplugin.exe on your machine, or change one and replace all the others with it.) 2. If that doesn't work, make sure you have the latest versions of QuickTime and Flash installed on your system. 3. If that doesn't work, try disabling your antivirus software. If that fixes it, try adding slplugin.exe to your antivirus program's "ignore" list.
  17. Cinnamon is correct, if your problem is how to log in with a viewer that needs a first and last name. If you simply want a first and last name to use for general purposes, you can set a Display Name in your profile settings. This can be anything you want, although using "Eva Zexel" seems the obvious choice. If you get tired of your Display Name, you can change it weekly. There are no longer first and last user names, unfortunately. You will see a lot of older residents who have them, but LL changed the naming system and last names are no longer available.
  18. You respond just the way you did...by editing your initial post. This forum works a bit differently from the other forums, and we can only respond to an initial post, not each other. Here's my suggestion: Don't use a drop shadow prim. If you want to show a shadow from your picture frame on the picture, bring it into Photoshop and add a drop shadow directly on the picture itself. You can also add some nice lighting effects. Visit my club, Ava's Gardens, to see some Photoshop work applied to pictures to create the illusion of a frame and lighting. Everything on the walls there is only ONE prim. EDIT: When you have the text entry window open you should see an icon that looks like a picture attached to a pipe. Click that to upload an image. (It's between the Link "chain" icon and the video "film" icon.)
  19. We're only residents like yourself, not Linden Lab employees, and we can't do a thing about your support ticket. The Lab's support policy is what it is...and that is to give very limited technical support to Basic account holders. You want better support from LL, you have to pay for it, or make do with what you can get for free from us residents. So here's my free advice: Your objects are gone. Dissolved into the ether due to an SL glitch. Get over it and spend a couple bucks on replacements.
  20. Cinnamon is correct, you can own a whole sim without being Premium. But you don't need to be Premium to access Adult content, you just need to be age verified. You can age verify in either of two ways. You've done one, having payment information on file. I think you have done the other, but it's not 100% clear from your post: Use the Age Verify link under your Account options on your dashboard page. Now, once having been verified, you SHOULD be able to access regions that are rated Adult. But... Landowners can restrict access in a couple of other ways. They can keep out anyone who doesn't have Payment Info On File (which doesn't apply to you) and they can keep out anyone who hasn't Age Verified. This check box is a relic of an earlier Age Verification process that is no longer in use. They can also limit access to anyone who isn't specifically on the parcel access list, or ban specific people. Finally, there is the possibility that the land is simply throwing a "false positive" and excluding you when it shouldn't. Your best bet is to contact the sim or parcel owner and see if the two of you can figure out what is going on. If it's a false positive, you should both file support tickets with LL.
  21. If you are using Firestorm, you can limit how much your head follows your cursor in Preferences.
  22. You should not run with your firewall disabled for any length of time. Both Phoenix and Firestorm will connect to SL (at least they do for most people, and they're working OK for me, so it's not a widespread problem.) Try a clean install as suggested.
  23. These problems seem to be getting more widespread. I don't think it's you, I think it's the servers. Not much you can do except re-log, and vote on JIRA issues about these problems, and file support cases.
  24. Generally speaking, no. But it can't hurt to ask, via a Support ticket.
  25. You should get the confirmation email fairly quickly. Check your email junk folder, it may have been blocked as spam.
