  1. NEVER make anyone else an Owner of your groups! Once you make someone an Owner, you can't ever eject them or take away that role. If you need a second person to hold a group open, use your own alt.
  2. Call Billing during normal business hours CA time, at one of the numbers below. US/Canada: 800-294-1067 France: 0805-101-490 Germany: 0800-664-5510 Japan: 0066-33-132-830 Portugal: 800-814-450 Spain: 800-300-560 UK: 0800-048-4646 Brazil: 0800-762-1132 Long distance ( not free, but you can use Skype to save some cost ) : 703-286-6277 **Note: Support is offered only in English
  3. If they were free skins, it's possible that they were copied without permission, the creator hit LL with a DMCA notice, and LL removed them from your inventory (and everyone else's). But if that was the case, you should have got an email from LL.
  4. If you are using the Firestorm viewer, it has a buit in AO. Check to be sure it's turned off. Check to make sure there are no AO HUDs hiding on your screen, beyond the screen edges. Your "Worn" tab in inventory will show this, or you can select any HUD you CAN see, choose Edit, and scroll out to see beyond your screen edges. Check to see if you have any active Gestures that you don't recognize, and deactivate them.
  5. Some sims do not allow their tenants to terraform. Read your Covenant carefully! If you ARE allowed to terraform, see if you can set terraforming to "Everyone" in About Land. If you cannot, then contact your sim owner and ask for your friend to be added to the land group and given temporary permission to terraform.
  6. Open the group info window. Go into roles and abilities. Make sure that the ability to change the stream is checked for your group roles. When you have multiple roles in a group, you can assume any of those roles, by changing your group tag. Make sure you are wearing the correct tag. If you are trying to use a radio or TV device to change the stream, make sure you own it (if the land is owned by you) or that it is deeded to the group (if the land is group owned.) EDIT: Whoops, I think LepreKhaun has the right of it. Ignore the above.
  7. and for future reference, it's "ghost", not "gost". :matte-motes-nerdy:
  8. There seems to be an Outfits bug that is affecting a few people. It deletes the contents of saved Outfits in your inventory. I don't know of any fix yet, except to re-create each outfit from scratch.
  9. Until you get the group role issue sorted out with your friend, here is a workaround: Stand in your home, or just outside the door. Go to World/Create Landmark Here (or Landmark This Place, depending on your viewer). Then use that landmark to get to your house.
  10. It could also be a case of animation conflicts. The animations that let you look like a werewolf are built into the werewolf avatar. You may find them in an on-screen or worn item named "AO" for "animation overrider". All animations have a priority level, established when they are uploaded by their creator. If your werewolf animations have a higher priority than the animation in the poseball, the poseball animation will not work. If the AO object has controls, you can turn it off and then use the poseball.
  11. IMMEDIATELY follow the steps in this link: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Account_Security
  12. I was able to find your store in Search and see all the items. Nice tattoos!
  13. The skin adjustment sliders in the Appearance menu can only be used if 1) the skin you are wearing is modifiable (most are not) and 2) it really IS a skin. In the case of nonhuman avatars like the dragon, the avatar you see consists entirely of attachable parts. If the avatar is fully modifiable, you can right click the part and choose Edit, then use the Texture tab to change the color and/or texture. If it's No Mod, you won't be able to do that. WARNING: Even if it is modifiable, make a safety copy before editing it. Once you change the texture, you will NOT be able to get the original texture back.
  14. There's one under the ocean at the Barbarossa infohub too, and it's been there for about a week now.
  15. Yes, except that a lot of shapes sold commercially are No Modify. You cannot use the sliders to alter a No Modify shape. No Modify shapes lost at lot of their usefulness when LL broke the height-above-ground adjustment and substituted the Appearance "Hover" slider in the shape controls.

  17. The PayPal account must be "verified" by being tied to a bank account, so that what you experienced (running out of money in the account and having to manually "top it up" doesn't affect any bills LL charges you. To avoid this, LL requires that your verification method for your PayPal account be a major credit card, or at least include such a card in your bank account's services.
  18. You may be trying to rez the original rather than your edited copy. Be sure you're rezzing the right one. If you are using a rez box...one of those things that you put on the ground and click to rez the house...then you are definitely rezzing the original. It could be that you are not taking out enough things to reduce the land impact of the house so that it will fit your land. Be sure to look at the LI value (Edit window, General tab) of the edited house to see what new LI you've achieved.
  19. You can keep objects from showing in search. You can NOT make them invisible to people looking in, or keep them from clicking on the objects and inspecting them. If you really need that level of privacy, leave SL and use OpenSim to run your own private SL-like region on your own computer.
  20. It's not LL policy. Any landowner can disable flying on their land. Some viewers have the ability to override this...but be warned! If you fly around on No Fly land, the land owner might become annoyed that you are thwarting his policies and ban you.
  21. There are several great ones! The one I belong to is Tradewinds Yacht Club...they hold races a couple of times a week, and have boat shows at their clubhouse several times a year.
  22. My partner had this issue the other day, when she had some inventory loading problems. She had to re-create all the deleted Outfits.
  23. A small clarification...Ariel's advice is great, but it applies only if the Abandoned land parcel you want is NOT currently listed for sale. If it IS for sale, just pay the purchase fee and it's yours, no support ticket required.
