  1. You shouldn't need to go to mouseview to do that with the PgDn key. Only if you're trying to do it with "C". That's why I suggested PgDn. Anyway... CONGRATULATIONS!
  2. Go to my.secondlife.com/wildcard and follow links to Edit Profile >> Profile Picture. Then select a pic on your hard drive and upload it.
  3. You cannot use debit cards in SL. You may use a credit card or PayPal. See http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Billing/ta-p/700037#Section_.3
  4. That's an odd problem. It may be a HTTP fetching issue, although not a normal one. Since LL started moving toward SSA, they have been putting more reliance on HTTP textures, which improve rendering for most people. It does create side issues for a few people, though. Take a look at the Try This suggestions at http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/http_fetching_issues .
  5. You're using that lame button? Hmmm... In well over 6 years, I can't remember ever having wanted to crouch, but the toggle to do that is your PgDn key -- the same key you use to fly down, if you're in the air.. Check to be sure that you don't have a cookie crumb stuck under that key on your keyboard.
  6. What money? Just rez a bunch of prims and link them.
  7. In your Linden Home? Contact Live Chat. You paid for the service. Use it.
  8. It sounds like you have a stuck anim. That can happen, for example, if you were sitting and made the mistake of teleporting without standing up first. It ought to clear itself if you relog. You can also try using a Stop Anim wand. If not, then the anim is in something that you are wearing -- maybe even your AO. Start taking off attachments until you find it.

    Pc settings

Probably not. If you only have 2GB of RAM, you'll never be able to run an SL viewer properly. You don't have enough memory to store cached textures and inventory, so your poor little machine is spending all its time downloading everything over and over again. You might be able to improve things by dropping your draw distance WAY down and setting your Quality slider to LOW, but that won't give you a very satisfying in-world experience.
  10. You hit the jackpot, like playing Monopoly and drawing the card that says, "Bank Error in your favor. Collect $20." Apparently the LL billing office found a mistake in your account -- maybe you were overcharged for something, or you were conned and they caught the bad guy --- and they fixed it. There's a line in one of the Woody Allen movies (Manhattan?): "Don't ask questions. Just take the money and run." If you really want to ask questions, though, you can call the Linden Lab billing team at the following toll-free numbers: US/Canada: 800-294-1067 France: 0805-101-490 Germany: 0800-664-5510 Japan: 0066-33-132-830 Portugal: 800-814-450 Spain: 800-300-560 UK: 0800-048-4646 Brazil: 0800-762-1132 Long distance ( not free, but you can use Skype to save some cost ) : 703-286-6277 **Note: Support is offered only in English
  11. Mauve Binder wrote: [ ... ] My apologies, the buttons have always been disabled. You can press all you want on them and nothing happens. Do you have items highlighted in pink, such as I? [ ...] No, I don't, but then I'm not trying to delete anything either. I really don't know what to say at this point. I'm wondering, though......... If the items are unavailable, they don't show up in your store any more, so people can't be trying to buy them. Aside from the fact that it's annoying for YOU to have to see them there, why does it make any difference? It's frustrating not to have an easy way to delete 900 at once, but unless there's a time pressure that I'm not imagining, you could delete them at a leisurely pace -- maybe 20 a day for the next 45 days -- and be done with it.
  12. Visit the Ivory Tower of Prims in world. Their tutorials will help you learn how to handle SL's basic building tools in an hour or less. Your "baby" doesn't need to be much more than a bunch of spheres stuck together "snowman-style." (Ugly, but hey ... )
  13. You're right. This isn't the right place to post your request. This is not a land referral agency. We answer questions about how SL works (or commiserate about what it doesn't). You'lll have to keep asking in the Land forums and exploring in world.
  14. Those boxes that you labeled "buttons cannot be pressed" in your first image and now relabeled "buttons have been disabled" are check boxes and they are not disabled on my own screen. I can select them and then apply the Unlist option at the bottom of the page. I wonder if there's an issue with your browser. Have you tried clearing its cache? Or using a different browser? This is a real puzzle.
  15. Mauve Binder wrote: [ ... ] edited to add: The items are not in the "Unassociated Inventory Items" Category, they are in the "Manage Listings" category. The boxes to the left that you speak of, the option to check them individually or en masse has been removed. Unfortunately, your assistance (while appreciated) doesn't address the issue. I apologize for my ambiguity. I had already successfully deleted all of my "Unassociated Inventory Items" prior to attempting the rest of the items. [ ... ] Ah.. I misunderstood your problem. Yes, as far as I know, there's no straightforward way to mass delete the items in that part of your listings. However, I don't understand your note that says, "buttons cannot be pressed." Those boxes on the left of each item are check boxes, and I can check them in my own listings. If I then go down to the bottom of that window, I have a drop-down Modify Selected Items menu that offers the option to Unlist the selected items. That gets you part way at least. They will still be in your listings, but not displayed in your store for people to buy.
  16. When you are looking at the Manage Listings display, you can select individual items in the Unassociated Inventory Items list by clicking the check-box on the left side. Then select Delete from the drop-down menu that says Modify Selected Items and click Go. That will delete those items. I doubt that you can delete 900 items at once, but you can certainly delete a good chunk at a time.
  17. Your Premium membership is prepaid and Linden Lab doesn't give refunds. That means that if you decide to downgrade to Basic, it doesn't become effective until the end of the period that you have already paid for. So, suppose you paid for one year of Premium membership last January 1, 2013 and you decide to downgrade to Basic today. Linden Lab will send you a nice note to let you know that they got your request, but you'll still be a Premium member till January 1, 2014, because you already paid up to that date. You'll keep getting your L$300 weekly, you can use the Premum sandboxes, you can call Live Chat .... all the normal Premium stuff.
  18. The OP is not likely to answer. She posted this question a year and a half ago and accepted the reply.
  19. Yes. Check your spam filter. I have found that gmail sends about one SL message out of ten to my spam filter at random, for example.
  20. "It won't work"? Do you mean that you can't download the viewer, or that you can't log in to Second Life? 1. Have you checked to be sure that your laptop meets the recommended standards for Second Life? 2. Did you download the right version for your computer (PC, Mac, Linux)? 3. Are you behind a firewall, perhaps on a college campus? 4. Are you getting any error messages? Exactly what do they say? If you want to provide extra information or need to clarify your question, click on the Options link in the upper right corner of your question and select EDIT. Please do not start a new thread. Doing that makes it hard for us to see what other people have already suggested, and it pushes other residents' questions off the page.
  21. You're dealing with a rendering problem that affects some people more than others, and seems to affect sculpties more than mesh and mesh more than regular prims. Usually you can force a non-rendered object to appear if you click (or right click) where the object ought to be. You can also often force recalcitrant objects to appear if you toggle in and out of wireframe mode (Shift + CTRL + R). For a more permanent solution, you may need to tweak a couple of Debug settings. See http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_vanishing_prims BTW, since you asked .... a simulator serves four regular sims. Learn more at https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Server_architecture
  22. They might not need a sandbox, but you do. Either that or a friend with land. Here's how to open boxes (bags, too) >>> http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Opening-boxes/ta-p/700185
  23. Search Marketplace, but don't get your hopes up. It's not going to be easy to find a baby for 40 cents worth of Lindens. If a miracle happens and you do find one, don't expect Great Quality. Forty cents doesn't buy much.
  24. Do you mean the green dot on the map or mini-map? I'm not sure, but I can offer a clue. The SW corner of a sim is the spot that the servers use as "home" or the "garbage collector". They use that spot, specifically <0.0,0.0,0.0>, as the origin of the sim's grid system and as the place where they drop things when they don't know what else to do with them. All sorts of traffic is routed through that spot. Think of it as the sim's "Square One." My guess is that if there's some ambiguity about where an av is, the map defaults to putting its green dot there. Frankly, I have never seen that happen myself, though, so it really is just a guess. I have no idea how you might "resolve" it.
  25. To quote Leonard Cohen,"There is a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in." I suspect that the "holes" you are seeing are unintentional, however. You were probably sold an alpha clothing layer with the pants, but you have forgotten to wear it. That alpha layer will make your butt disappear so it doesn't show through. If not, then you'll have to do some creative editing of your shape, assuming that a Toodleedoo shape is modifiable.
