  1. Wont give refunds or reimburse people screwed by incompetent technical tinkering ...but here have a free piece of tat instead....surely that makes the fact you havent been able to use the land youre paying an enormous tier for seem not so bad after all....

I consider this offer an insult at a time when Im unable to get into sl without fear of exceeding the GB usage limit set by my isp...last night I used 128mbs of my 'allowance' in a few minutes.....Ive not been into sl properly for a fortnight now and we only have vague stories that this issue will be rectified next tuesday... I wonder if this was intended as some kind of very bad joke...the gifts a buggy - and so is sl.....

Greed is the overriding impulse at Lindens...reduced tiers, increased free land DONT MAKE ME LAUGH we've been asking since the invisible man became CEO ... and recent events have proved to me that when it comes to lindens giving back anything which means delving into linden's coffers there's.... .....NOT A HOPE...

The latest Linden idea is to make people spend less time in sl for the same amount of money by making the place virtually impossible to exist in...unless you can handle the lashing of lag treacle to wade through ..or better yet paying your ISP for all those extra gbs you used over your limit.....

Youre clearly dismissive of anyone in my situation..after five years of use in sl I dont expect a sudden issue to arise with a TENFOLD increase in gb usage...ONE WHICH SL HAVE ALSO TAKEN RESPONSIBILITY FOR..... which in my opinion makes lindens liable for any losses or increased charges.....and youre also clearly a person who expects to say what he wants but then has the nerve to demand respectful responses... dream on pal. I just wish the stupid ignore system on this forum was working...

Echo Im not standing by while someone like Legion has his say and clearly expects no come back.... if sl looses paying users who according to him 'wont be missed' whose ultimately going to fund sl...look at the map isnt enough of it abandoned ?? No wonder lindens can do exactly what they want and screw who they want with people like himcontributing to the thread.....

Oh echo thanks for your concern but dont you worry Im already selling my land and then my membership will be cancelled the last few days have taught me that theres no such thing as a valued customer in sl...there are plenty of online games and other virtual worlds and as Ive said I have a stack of pc games I never got round to playing. On top of that Im really looking forward to online sim city which is due out soon. The game will be paid for with a fraction of the next tier I would have been paying to sl. Even my beloved building was becoming a bore. I think stuffs going to happen with sl I thought something was up when lindens didnt participate in sls recent birthday bash. Rodvik has gone mysteriously quiet in all net communication and now lindens are getting involved in putting sl out via steam.

  13. My bandwidth stayed unlinchingly at 1-2 gbs for years....and even if I had checked what are you supposed to do then mrs smaughtharse? Reduce your time in sl to nothing...sorry sweetheart but I dont pay a tier and membership to stay out of a place especially when the people running it made the mistake in the firstplace ...now go and get some common sense... the only reason Im debating this continually with you is because every time it bumps the thread and warns those who might not even know theres a problem .....which is what I wanted to do.... rather than getting lumbered with some senseless argumentative person who seems to be posting under more than one name to undermine something determined to act to warn other users.
  14. So like I said before and which you are avoiding whats your advice to people on limited gb usage ??? Are you going to tell them not to come to sl ?? What about tiers and membership fees whose responsible for those if people have to stay out of sl so as to avoid large payments to their ISPs as in my case...come on whats your advice instead of just trying to be smart .....
  15. TICEE WHY ARE YOU INSISTENT ON COUNTERING ANYONE WHO CRITICISES LINDENS OVER THIS ISSUE ON EVERY THREAD ??WHAT EXACTLY WOULD YOUR ADVICE TO SL USERS ON LIMITED GB USAGE BE ????? EVEN THOUGH LINDENS HAVE ADMITTED THE BUG IS THEIR FAULT ??
  16. Ive been in sl 5 years and never exceeded my usage which until recently has been 1-2 gb a day ....last week it rocketed to 10 gb a day.... even sl have admitted its a fault... why does it take so much to prove some things to some people....??
  17. Anyone else think that all users should have had a warning email about this from Linden labs- at the very least telling them that if theyre on limited bandwidth usage to check their usage ? Especially as Lindens ( has as happened in my case) are going to use TOS to avoid paying any form of recompense .....

  19. Whats the point of ultra graphics when linden labs are currently advising everyone who wants to save their gb usage to reduce their viewing distance to 32 km ( half the size of the largest 'legally' avaialble prim )
  20. Good try but Im using firefox - with IE i couldnt access the help pages at all.... Ive replied to TJ Lindens useless email via the email addy address but something tells me its not going to get me very far either.... already planning a move to another virtual world and trying out other online games. Ive got a backlog of unused pc games that I put to one side and never tried 5 years ago when I discovered sl anyway.... Think Im going to find something a lot cheaper with less imcompetence and greed behind it.

And to think after 5 years custom I wasn't making a vast demand either only a 50% reduction in my tier for the half month when Lindens mistakes have made the service inaccessible to me....utter crap.... no concept of customer care or satisfaction exists in Linden labs at all. Greedy money grasping business at its finest....

Maybe but Lindens arent just restricting their business to the USA and theyre obliged to follow the laws of those lands where they sell....as for US users if youre prepared to pay up for a company who won't refund or recompense you for loss of money...or charging you too much for - lets face it a SHABBY SECOND RATE SCREWED UP service good luck to you. Five years Ive been in sl most of it a regular paid up land owning customer.... well that nameless faceless supervisor that TJ Linden is hiding behind has cost Linden labs my business...Not to mention those technical jerks who should have shut off the pathfinder feature as soon as it was seen to be inconveniencing sl users....

I think anyone considering membership of sl really has to think hard about those terms of service because it means if you are denied access to sl or have to stay out of sl as I have lindens arent going to recompense you...which is quite a loss if youre paying even a middling tier. I dont know if this sort of 'shirking of responsibilities' is allowed in the US but Im certainly going to have a long conversation with our relevant trading standards people here and we know from the v.a.t fiasco a few years back that if lindens operate in areas outside the USA theyre certainly bound by overseas rulings ....
