Well I hope admidst the lick spittles and kiss asses there were some much needed demands for an improvement in sl service at all levels on the customer treatment front and on the quality of service side too.....

Hearing he's from sweden did make me smile though as one of my great sources of inspiration is also swedish...

same here........personally I think theyre scared of having there words open to comment from the very people who pay their wages.....

I will remember Rod Humble as being the man during whose 'reign' second life plumbed new depths with abysmal levels of customer service and a shoddier less stable environment to play, build and explore in with record levels of crashes, lag, and tp failures ....oh look I crashed again as I typed that !! Its time Lindens put customer service and satisfaction first now and ended that culture which implies that the customer is lucky to be in sl regardless of the amount they pay.... Lindens should also end these ludicrous legal wranglings whereby they try to 'dodge' any responsibility for the quality of service - or lack of it - they provide

I wonder if Philip will come back briefly resume the reins make a few more promises and then vanish again before the deadlines he sets

The thing I remember most about Humble is him commenting on this forum to thank people ( albeit a week late and no doubt after many criticial comments from certain observers) for wishing him a happy birthday....typically until then he'd been thanking people in every other bit of social media except the forum.... It spoke volumes to me about how much he and other lindens (always noticeable by their absence from the forums) appear to care about sl and the opinions of its users.... In the end he perpetuated the Linden attitude that people who use sl ought to consider themselves lucky for the right to pay a lot of money to use sl - and forget who actually keep its administrators and functionaries in work....

Good riddance - whats needed is someone who lives by the old addage the customer is always right and sees that all his staff do the same - especially when the customer IS right !! Lets hope that the new CEO rapidly sees that the most vital thing needed to revitalise sl is a rapid reduction in tiers and useful inducements and rewards to faithful long term customers rather than the ridiculous baubles theyve been palming off as 'incentives'

Considering I spend most of my sl time 'at altitude ' and flying vehicles myself ..... and havent seen any other airborne vehicle for a good year or so.... By th way your facts on the ostrich are erroneous assuming you are using that old fallacy about em burying their head in the sand... so basically your facys were 100% wrong....

Complain to your government ...not Lindens.... lol

I remember the lack of support some US users had for European users when Lindens suddenly decided to impose v.a.t with a weeks notice..... So all I can say say about this is 'oh dear what a pity never mind'

Ah ban lines and security orbs - legalised griefing implements .... one of the many reasons we never see aircraft flying in sl any more.....

Quite astounding !! I call someone a idiot in one line in another thread ..I get a warning for flaming.... meanwhile several pages of this thread are taken up by two people arguing and hurling abuse at each other apparently unhindered.....maybe its because I was critical of linden labs in the thread I got the warning about or maybe its because Im not in the good ole USA but moderation seems a little out of sync on this forum and a more than a little unfair too.....

I'll have to increase my number 2's salary to two lindens a week she can fit in being counter intelligence and security office with hoovering rabbit poop out of my station's carpets......

Damn I better step the security level aboard my new space station to treble red and issue side arms to my crew...I dont want anyone from any security agency stealing the design of my new anti gravity system... after all its not easy getting the anim and rotation scripts to work properly... wonder if I can train my rabbits to attack and repel borders......

So this is why theyve been busily rewriting the tos...wish Id taken action last year when they screwed me out of a months tiers when their technical **bleep** up put me off line.....

I applaud the op for having the guts to stand up in the faceof the sycophants who lurk on this forum. His views are echoed time and again in sl in the groups and at the places I visit... ( when theres anyone there sl is becoming a very empty place these days....)

You know what blah blah blah... youre the sort of person who stops any person with genuine concerns about getting value for money or a decent standard of service gettng anywhere on this forum....you must be very proud helping shield linden from views aired on a forum they dont even care about....it took Rod Humble a week to reply to birthday greetings last year and then only because people lampooned him for ignoring them. Linden labs have about as much idea of customer care and satisfaction as a crocodile does when its swallowing an antelope.... as for being rude its the only way to deal with people like you on this forum....

Well at least popcorn makes a change from the usual pies hurled about on this forum when someone wants to block a line of criticism....

Oh dear someone was critical of Lindens - bad move (choose your own populist name for them we know who they are whether you call em linden lab, linden labs, rosedale and co, rods humble pie whatever) and as usual the infinitely more rabid band of brownnosers and ass lickers leapt out with their hatchets to defend a company that doesnt take any notice of criticism - no matter how well reasoned - on this forum anyway.. All I know is the quality of service in sl isnt as good as it was and that unless you want to become a full blown computer geek and spend hours working on a mesh system the INWORLD building system is stuck in stasis...... anyone with any sense realises tiers are far to high those with sense have realised this and are vacating in droves . No wonder Lindens sensibly stopped letting abandoned land turn yellow immediately. The map would be predominantly stricken with yellow fever.... Unfortunately Im addicted to sl and love the initial concept. Unfortunately the way I see it is what modifications are being made are more to the benfit of Lindens and or the computer shops selling the increasingly powerful equipment you need to get the world to run properly.....
