  1. Not sure where you live, but here in the states it's illegal to kidnap and enslave a woman.
  2. Gor isn't a lifestyle. It's a world created in a series of really horribly written books by a man who wants nothing to do with the strange RP that has sprung from it. It's basically the incel's dream world. No one is actually living as a Gorean in real life - at least, I hope they aren't because if they are they're kidnapping and abusing women who have absolutely not given consent. The entire premise is based on women basically being objects, and as far as I know, the true BDSM community looks upon Gor as disdainfully as I do since informed consent is a huge part of BDSM.
  3. Being a furry isn't necessarily sexual, so you are correct. It's a lifestyle. My apologies.
  4. Couldn't the same be said for those in child avatars participating in sex? Yet we still consider that wrong. At least I do anyway. It's depicting adults have sexual relations with creatures, be it human or animal, that are unable to give informed consent. Furries are clearly wearing costumes and not RPing as an actual animal.
  5. I think I owe you a drink or something. Thank you for your words. ALL of them. I do love verbose people. Furries aren't animals. They are humans wearing costumes, and they have the ability to give consent. Personally, I insist on only sex with humans, but I don't kink shame unless it's something that harms someone unable to give or understand consent. Actually, I don't kink shame then, either. I call the police.
  6. I hear your opinions. I respect and validate your opinions, though I may not agree with them. You have every right to hold the opinions you do even though we see things differently. Your thoughts and opinions are important and valued. We come from different places, different belief systems, and different values. We don't share the same perspectives, but I respect your truth. I appreciate your willingness to share your truth, and I understand that your truth comes from a place of authenticity. You are entitled to your thoughts, truths, and opinions, and I am happy you chose to share them with me so I am able to view things from another perspective. My opinion might not be changed, but I appreciate your willingness to share, and I respect that.
  7. That was a joke. I know full well that I allowed myself to be drawn back in to the conversation. I do wish Luna and her alts would just leave me alone, though. I'm out.
  8. Of course it's getting through to me. That doesn't mean I have to agree with it, and I'm not sure why that isn't getting through to you. And the feminist question was to Luna. I know nothing about you. I am part of the SL society. I pay my taxes in the form of premium membership as well as purchasing far too many Linden dollars. I have a voice, and I won't be shouted down and told I don't have a right to speak out about things I agree or disagree with when it comes to LL and SL. You and anyone else are free to disagree with me, just as I'm free to disagree with LL's policy. To feed your own words back to you, if you want a forum where people aren't free to speak their opinions, make your own to showcase that.
  9. I tried that. I'm entirely too introverted to properly run a group or an event! It's always summer in Bellisseria!
  10. And awesome, too. How much fun would that be?
  11. You make it so hard for me to ignore you when you keep responding to my posts. I really do wish you would just stop. It never ends well for either of us. However, if you're going to persist... If by "they" you mean LL, the problems they had in the past involved the media storm surrounding *****. That has absolutely nothing to do with sexually explicit material depicting legally consenting adults. It had to do with pedophiles using SL as a playground. And I most certainly don't have to take society as it is. What a strange thing for you to say, since I'm pretty sure you don't believe in doing that, either. You're a pretty outspoken feminist, aren't you? And what does this have to do with privacy? Nowhere have I suggested that LL cam inside anyone's SL bedroom, take pics, and splash them all over their homepage. Stop moving the goalposts. Again, this has absolutely nothing to do with privacy. And unless you have the source material to back it up, I'm not entirely sure you're correct about most people in SL wanting sex to be a "private thing". Seriously, though, how is any of this a privacy issue? You and Luna have taken the goal posts and moved them off the field and into another country. Unless you two can bring the conversation back around to the actual topic of the SLBN and the decision to exclude a huge segment of SL, I think we're done.
  12. I think club and parcel owners should be able to block whoever they want, I just don't think these things need to be publicly viewable on a person's profile. The age thing causes all sorts of snobbery, and no one really needs to know how long a person's avatar as existed. The payment info thing is just not necessary, and like you said, not really anyone's business.
  13. "Wicked" is one of the nicer things I've been called recently. 😝
  14. I think when Patch said "choo choo" he meant the trains that are going through the trailer regions - I don't think there is some other big secret train-related thing coming. Patch is very careful with his words in general, and I don't believe he has officially confirmed anything, including beach houses. I know a lot of people want them, and I'm sure that there is a big book of theme/style ideas somewhere. I was at all the SL16B talks, and have read the entire SSP thread, and I'm almost positive he has never confirmed anything, anywhere. He enjoys the tease too much, but we can ask him to confirm or deny. Hey, @Patch Linden - Have you confirmed anything when it comes to upcoming themes or styles?
  15. I wouldn't be too sure of that. Unless I'm actually doing the dirty (or changing my hair) I keep my parcel privacy off. I'm also quite frequently nude and enjoy sunbathing. I've seen quite a few others as well. I go boating topless. I want to go nude zip-lining, too, but haven't done it yet. I'm a little concerned about rope burn. They're just pixels.
  16. This is why I think avatar age and the payment info thing should be removed from profiles.
  17. Thank you for providing an actual reason why LL might not be able to promote the adult content bloggers in their blogger network. Thinking about it, though, while that seems like a perfectly sensible reason, I'm not certain it's accurate. I'm thinking about other websites that have adult content and whether or not they make efforts to prevent minors from viewing their websites. They don't. None of the big porn sites do any sort of age verification. If it were a matter of law, I feel certain that they would. They only types of websites I can think of that do any sort of actual age verification before you can view them are tobacco and liquor websites, and those don't even require actual proof. They just ask for a birth date but don't do any sort of verification that you're telling the truth. Even my own blog, run by Google, doesn't require any sort of age verification. It's simply a warning and you have to agree that you wish to view adult content. If LL changed their position on this, I would still want and expect any adult content blog to come with a similar disclaimer. I'm not suggesting that LL splash SL porn all over the home page in any way, shape, or form. I'm simply asking that the adult content side of SL be given the same deference and consideration as all other sides when it comes to their official channels and efforts. You thought wrong. Just because I support LL, and I do or else I wouldn't be using their platform, doesn't mean that I love everything they do. They are several things I would change if it were up to me, aside from my desire for them to openly acknowledge the vast amounts of amazing adult content. I think the minimum age should be 18 all across the board. I think child avatars should only be allowed on G rated regions. I think Gor and sex between animals and humans should be banned. I think the entire G, M, and A ratings should be revisited and reworked. LL isn't perfect and I don't wear blinders.
  18. I accidentally left the "y" off your name. Many businesses (and governments) have decided where their boundaries were in the past. They have no reason to change those boundaries unless people speak up. As for your final line, I am dismissive because I believe your original comment, as well as those that followed, were disingenuous. It's my way of letting you know that I'm finished with the conversation. I'm finished with the conversation.
  19. A new theme is being shown at some Christmas expo. No idea what it is, but I can't wait to see it! Patch has talked about having up to 8 themes.
  20. I don't think you're being rude, but I do think you're being a little obtuse. My issue is with the guidelines. That's how change happens. People speak up. It's why LGBTQ folks can get married. Black people can sit in the front of the bus. Why the quarterly premium subscription came back. Not that an SL blogger network is comparable in any way but the principle is the same. I want LL to recognize and respect the value of the adult content side of SL. Publicly. On their own website, not behind closed doors where I know they understand the value of the adult content. I'm not sure why that's so hard to understand.
  21. Well, Bits, it clearly matters to me or else I wouldn't have brought it up. If it doesn't matter to you, why did you comment? As for the rest of it... if that's what helps you sleep at night.
  22. Okay, but that's not what some people do. I've seen parcels in this thread referred to as "trash", "throwaway", "ugly", "ghetto" (for the ENTIRE Squishy Pickle area), and other derogatory things. That isn't a matter of preference - that is insulting the work of others, namely the Moles and Lindens who created them. There is nothing wrong with saying you're abandoning because you want a better view, or more water, or a spot along a river, or whatever. There is something wrong with being unnecessarily hateful about why any particular parcel or area isn't up to your mythical unicorn standards.
  23. This part of it makes me want to submit mine just so I know Lindens are seeing my boobs. 😜
