Technically the TOS does not say the pricing has to be the same. It says... Anti-Competitive or Abusive Behavior. I do not see that is what LL's TOS is saying. If the price is different, isn't that an inflated price? Anti-competitive actions would be if a Merchant were to inflate the price of MP's listing far above a reason delta in pricing to inworld to fully discourage any sales activities on MP. For example if the Inworld price for the same item was 20% lower than the MP price... this would be a delta that is beyond any explanation of pricing based on costs associated to each market. That would be clearly anti-competitive. But... it would not be anti-competitive to charge a 5% higher price on MP over inworld to RECOUP the additional 5% costs that MP incurs on the listing being on MP. This is a reasonable and explained delta in price. I see that as the cost of doing business in a place where the search is a million times better than inworld. Secondly, the other approach you can use and I did use in 2010 to promote improved traffic and sales of your inworld store (not related to MP sales activity) is to offer after sale Percent or Fixed price rebates to customers that buy inworld. The price between MP and inworld of my listings were IDENTICAL but I rewarded my inworld customers for taking the time to visit my store and buy inworld. This promo ran for almost a year and had a good result for me as my sales volumes ration between MP and inworld became more balanced (from 90% MP sales to about 70% MP sales). Lastly, I strongly disagree with the LL TOS policy in the first place that LL has the nerve to say a Merchant is being anti-competitive by managing where his sales occur on two environments own by LL's !! MP has become the #1 reason for SL's inworld demise of inworld shopping and the collapse of the inworld economy. MP has so fundamentally shifted where Merchants can best sell their goods that stores are closing, malls are closing, and sims are being abandoned. And then LL still maintains this utterly stupid policy that does not allow merchants to try to encourage and promote that customers do more shopping and buying on the inworld grid. I see a crappy search and keyword spam as the #1 reason inworld purchases are failing. For LL to deem inworld shopping to be an evil competitor to LL's own MP is a clear example of the poor business decisions LL keeps practicing to continue to destroy SL.

According to US law 18 USC 1466A In response to Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition, Congress passed the PROTECT Act of 2003 (also dubbed the Amber Alert Law) and it was signed into law on April 30, 2003 by then president George W. Bush. The law enacted 18 U.S.C. § 1466A, which criminalizes material that has "a visual depiction of any kind, including a drawing, cartoon, sculpture or painting", that "depicts a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct and is "obscene" or "depicts an image that is, or appears to be, of a minor engaging in ... sexual intercourse ... and lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value". By its own terms, the law does not make all simulated child pornography illegal, only that found to be obscene or lacking in serious value. And mere possession of said images is not a violation of the law unless it can be proven that they were transmitted through a common carrier, such as the mail or the internet, or transported across state lines. There is also an affirmative defense made for possession of no more than two images with "reasonable steps to destroy" the images or reporting and turning over the images to law enforcement. I direct your attention to the bold text.. Since SL is accessed via the internet any sexual interaction between an adult and child av is indeed against the law. Since SL users must abide by LL rules and LL must abide by US laws any age-play is illegal. i do agree that the witch hunts are much much worse. @OP I have been asked to leave "adult" clubs since i am only 6-3. well toned and tattooed but for some reason they thought i was a child av. i didnt rant about it, i moved on and found better places to hang.

I am constantly looking at things in RL and trying to figure out how to make them with the least prims. I have a camera in my pocket at all times when i go out in case i find something that will make a nice texture. I have dreamt about SL too many times to count. My wife and i had an argument about how many prims it would take to make our couch so we went in SL and built it... I was right btw. oh yeah, I told my daughter she was grounded and her tv was now unscripted. :smileytongue:

What is with LL and all of the Vampire promotions? All October leading up to Halloween it was vampire this and vampire that. Now, it's December and on the main page of the marketplace its "Become a Vampire". One would think they would promote the Christmas/Winter items. Please LL, wake up. There are more RP groups than just vampires and goreans out there.

Hey Prof, why don't you spend your time perusing the Marketplace writing down item numbers and sending them to LL for copyright infringement? Hell, in just looking for a new outfit I must have come across hundreds of "illegal" items, Star Wars, Avatar, Star Trek, Dune, and many many others. Who, exactly, is responsible for this? LL? the creator? Who should police these items? do you really think George Lucas and James Cameron are in SL? Should i send them a letter? Please help me, i need your advice. Thanks, Drake. PS... i seem to remember LL saying they would allow 64 meters as the largest prim size, did this ever get implemented? and if so, how does one make one?

Your best bet would be to get a Nvidia gforce 9800. They retail for about 75-100 USD. I got mine on sale at Best Buy for $75. The improvement over the 6800 that came with my system was unbelievable. Very easy to install and will improve your overall internet experience as well as SL.

Roleplay, strictly Roleplay. As an avid D&D gamer, and currently teaching my kids how to play, I feel that Roleplay only increases the power of ones imagination. My 8 year old daughter has started writing a record of her characters "adventures" and wants to make a novel out of it.

IMHO LL will see this whole thread as mocking their authority and Keli K will never be let out of the gulag. Sorry Keli. With the teen merge going on , LL will not tolerate any sort of undermining of their authority. All this does is show the new people that we don't care what LL thinks and we will do as we please. Personally I would let this one die.
