  1. That looks like a major improvement to be honest. I didn't think of using other stuff from the library. She looks really good.
  2. Don't mind so much being able to make the boobs really small , but them imploding into the chest cavity is certainly not right. Having sliders not doing anything is highly anoying and sure to confuse new ppl
  3. I'm hoping they will add more things now that they have released the dev kits. But we need better dark skins from jump. Ashy is not a good look. I'm also wondering how this will play out once noobs get into world and realise they no longer have that easy use interface ... Will we get a bunch of people creating multiple accounts because they don't know how to tweak the avi they made ?
  4. I'm not very good with putting things where they should be or proportions in general. I just tried to make the ears as small as possible so I wouldn't have to see them as much. And yup , skins can really make or break a look.
  5. My thoughts currently : - Please fix the ears... what on earth happened there ? - Please sort out the skins. A good skin can work wonders, so please ensure that the skins are nice and the darker skins don't look grey or ashy... -Edit : When I pose her, her limbs look distorted which is really bad for photography. - All my other opinions about what I dislike are a matter of personal preference - The pointy chin. - The nose shape - They eyebrows - The hair options - The clothes - The proportion of the legs , it just keeps getting thinner as it goes down Overall it seems ok, I'm sure people will be able to get very creative and do wonders with them. The create a sim style interface looks pretty ok too. Offers users a more predictable interface in terms of character customization. Here you can see what I'm talking about with the ears . I posted more pictures of Sergeant Jamie Senra on the ' How does your Senra Look ? ' thread.
  6. Ok so I tried my best to do something with her.... I didn't like the hair options went with option 1. Eyes are my own. Skin is my own from Mila because the skins they have are _________. I didn't like the eyebrows but just stuck with them. Edited her body shape to something acceptable. Anyways tried my best with it. Forgot to mention but, what happened to her ears ???? This is my Seargent Jamie Senra because she walks like shes in the army.
  7. I've been wondering this myself.
  8. I wonder if the thing he keeps hinting at is a new way to customise your avatar upon arrival. Sort of like other games where you have a interface where you can create an avi. My guess is that it will be a screen that will facilitate avi customisation for newbies and where you will have access to free clothing and also selected vendors. This is the vibe I got from his statements. It also seems that you can get the dev kit even if you don't have an SL store... Now regarding the TOS ... That's another can of worms.. Edit : Yup looks like that was exactly it. ...
  9. Maitreya We’ve noticed there are some misunderstandings about the ‘more curvy’ part. We didn’t make the body more curvy. We tried to keep Lara as much as possible the same ‘thickness’ and same look she had. But because we had to make changes to the weights, the body does respond a little stronger to the appearance sliders. This means that if your shape sliders were (almost) maxed for butt and/or breasts, you will see they are a little bigger now. If your slider is in the middle, they are about the same size as before. So if you don’t want to be more curvy, you don’t have to. But you do have the option to get a bit more curvy. The butt also has the option of physics (movement) now. And the body is a bit more detailed, as in smoother and rounder. The changes are very subtle, but as you can see on the GIF, there are differences. Wether or not clothing made for Lara will fit Lara X (with alpha use), may partly depend on sliders as well. Again, if your shape sliders are somewhat in the middle, the changes are minimal. With sliders set to more extreme numbers, the differences grow. We expect that from now on, creators will prefer to create for Lara X. You get to keep your original Lara for things made previously, if they don’t fit Lara X. That way you will always have a Lara version that fits your clothing. Lara X isn’t an add-on. It is a full body avatar, that you will get as an addition to your original Lara. Sourced From Maitreya's Facebook -> https://gyazo.com/9b342378c3f9b585c43966866d1d28a7
  10. Nope. I currently made shapes for 4 Avis . The base for those avis are the only oufits I have... but I may eventually create outfits in the CTS wardrobe if I ever get round to fully setting it up
  11. Chicken run is a masterpiece. Love this movie ❤️ In regards to the topic I'm super duper excited about this release.
  12. My main concern is the fit. I have stuck with Maitreya due to the wide range of stuff available for it. I'm really hoping the clothes will still fit. Also would be amazing if the dev kit became more accessible and the body easier to rig.
  13. I wear the avi glam insight eyes and got them on marketplace. From browsing their marketplace there seems to be some eyes that have a similar colouring to yours. I think what I would do in you position is shop on marketplace get a ton of demos from different stores and then take pictures of all the eyes for comparison. Usually when I do that I try to get the pictures all with the same background and the same presets so the only visible difference is the eyes. I hope you end up finding some eyes you love.
  14. Whilst I got the impression there were less windlights to firestorm, I found controlling the environment much easier. The menu for dealing with sun/moonlight / shadows/ water is very nice.I'm still learning the viewer though...
  15. Hunch : I think the way SL is presented outside of SL may be a contributing factor. When I first joined SL years ago, I had no prior knowledge of SL. That led me to joining with absolutely 0 expectations and trying just about everything. Gor had a huge community at the time, and so did bloodlines. It was totally normal to see goreans and vampires out and about, and to get very frequent 'solicitations' from them. So I was exposed to both. I wonder what sort of information people get about SL before joining now a days. The most popular SL related influencers that come to mind all do RP or blogging .. So maybe a lot of the public who joins SL see that and identify with that and join SL looking for that. Maybe if there were more creators producing a variety of content from SL to other platforms ,more people who identified with that content would join more ? Since coming back to SL I haven't encountered anything / anyone to do with bloodlines or gore in world.I also don't know if it's just my impression but when I first joined SL people were a lot more social, and I ended up meeting people that had all sorts of interests. Now a days I get the impression that people are slightly more closed of and if you dont' know to look for something you won't find it. This is all just one big guess...
  16. Ok so from what I understood , learning the theory behind what a tool does and how to achieve the desired affect without the tool is what you class as progress. I was just curious because I've really gotten into photography on SL but my learning process is basically keep moving stuff and retaking the photo until you're happy. There is literally no structure, but your response provides some insight of how I can add more structure to my learning process. tnx
  17. I really like the picture was curious about what you consider to be progress. I really like the poses and the outfits
  18. oh ok thanks for letting me know. I gathered from the context it was a report of some kind but wanted clarification on what the acronym meant. I actually didn't know that it was against the rules to out alts either.
