Absolutely agree about finding "you"... For me, I have curves, but NOT the cinched waist that maitreya has, so I decided to just deal with legacy (I basically ignore the hud as much as I can... I have Freya, but the support overall is so lacking these days..) Big takeaway is that sense of self is verrrry important to me, so I absolutely understand.

I might need to take a look at this... Somehow? Is there like an in world way to do this, or did you eyeball it? I'm trying my best for "me" and not some 80ft tall Amazon. Anyhoo, I tinker all the time, but I have a "me" look that's pretty much how I feel/ visualize myself, so if there's a shiny new head, I stop to see if it's a "fit"... For example, I don't ever consider any heads that are more Asian in build, not because I don't like them, (no I am absolutely not a racist. ) the heads just don't work for what I have envisioned. I've had the same overall theme to my Avi since the beginning, and short of some super groundbreaking new "thing" (looking at you, mesh) I don't see myself changing much.

My onnnnly complaint on catwa is the price (I own a Majer soft).... I wish that the heads were more in line with lelutka's prices, as I find them to nearly the same quality (love the features on the HD pro, but to me the EvoX is slightly better in the looks department). I have both, so I fiddle and change as needed. For the OP, I would suggest an EvoX enabled head simply because it's not as expensive, a few more base options to choose from, and it seems that the EvoX has more creator support, at least at the moment. I'd pick up a Lara curvy in a heartbeat.... If it didn't suffer from lack of clothing and other addon support.... Hell, might even buy two!

Ahhh.... I wasn't aware that there was THAT much of a difference... As there didn't feel to be, at least for me on my PC... Though I imagine if you are on a less then optimal machine, with a roomful of Legacy wearers, it's a sideshow. Honestly, thank you for the information Ceka ♥️

Maitreya Lara body is a great balance of cost to detail, and the most supported, Legacy maybe being second? Heads, there's the big three (Lelutka, Catwa and Genus). You can get a free genus head still I think as a group gift, the newest catwa are nice (HD pro) but are a kick in the wallet... And Lelutka is (at least in my opinion) the best quality to cost.... Likely has the most support for the EvoX line they released a few months back too. Hope this helps! 😊

When I came back to SL.... first body I bought was freya, because I'm jusssst curvy enough irl to be drawn to it.... Then I realized that all the clothes I liked were NOT really supported...(god beleza needs to update), so off to the throngs of the Lara wearers I went. I wiiish that the other "new" bodies (legacy, kupra) were getting as much support as Lara.... Would go so much further to making everyone more unique. Tried Legacy, and I don't see what all the fuss is about it as far as the triangles/ complexity... Its about as complex as the Lara. I only wish it had more support as well, because it's actually my preferred body, since it doesn't go all wonky with higher slider values like Lara does..... There's nothing wrong with the Lara body, but it certainly caters to the Paris model types.... Maybe maitreya will release a more curvy add on... One can dream.

Okaaaay.... These are all interesting ideas, but I think that sea serpents aren't really related to how new folks (or old, don't have to be new) can make some passive, albeit small amount of linden$.... 😏

Better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you aren't.

While most any seating surface IS scripted, if it's a simple prim sculpy that looks like a chair, it would most likely be unscripted, therefore the default sit.

Any particular things that (might) interest you in SL? Being pretty new, I know that's a pretty big question to ask, but us knowing that might help you get more interests in your post. Favorite bands, stuff you enjoy IRL, anything to help us know more about you. I'm in my thirties myself, have a munchkin (6yo) and love hard rock, metal, and ironically enough, a fair bit of country. Love the beach, so I am often there when not shopping (which is an addiction I need to curb!)

This has been one of my best options for Legacy.... I know some creators have stockings that are part of the fat packs, but usually only one or two foot heights, sadly.

What kind of RP? What are some of your interests? Details make the man, after all.... But I enjoy RP, chatting, clubbing, usual SL stuff.... And always looking for new friends too... Add me if you like.

Seconding this.... I assume it's in regards to feeling / being trans? Letting us know the why would help folks help you better... Just gotta keep putting yourself out there, be social, chat in local.... If you keep to yourself, no one gets a chance to know you...

Nalates pretty much nailed it. Mouse steering is very much going to be the best option, but if you would rather the keyboard keys instead, then I highly recommend you use the Firestorm viewer, and even if you end up mouse steering, I'd still use it... So many more quality of life additions in it.

Sadly, this is the reality. Telling them that you don't accept friends request easily might be a decent tactic, but often, feelings get hurt. My tactic is to be polite, and if they can't accept my reasoning, then they wouldn't have been a good friend anyhow.

Hey, new as well... Well, new in respect that I came back from a 6 year hiatus... Decided to start a new account... But I just want to thank you (and everyone else that's posted help).... Its great to see that there are still helpful people!
