    I don't know how anyone could hang their hat on a SL income to begin with , unless you are one of the lucky few squeezing serious money out of this place, not sure what whining about it is good for.     The best method to record is to save the recording to a separate drive as it's doing it's thing . I have done this with OBS studio and it works wonders for stutter and lag. Also adding that capture software in the viewer might be problematic because there is open source stuff, but it could really add bloat to the viewer/installer.

    Not theoretically offer them, it does. That is the whole reason it was spun off, to be a payment service focused on virtual worlds and digital currency, and the metaverse in general, and not singularly focused on SL.
