A link does not guarantee a store still exists. I recently clicked on a link to visit an in world store and landed in someone's living room, 30 seconds later got kicked out to mine.

Have you tried another viewer. I often have things missing in Firestorm, but they are there if I use the SL viewer.

but what are you risking? A few minutes of your time, time spent doing nothing if you don't reach out and talk to someone. yes 95% of those intital canversations will result in nothing, but so what? that 5% makes it worth it.

I get this, I do not care who is behind the avi, it isn't about being fooled, it is accepting everyone the way they want to present themselves. I had a friend once who always used a cat avatar. I knew he wasnt really a cat, but I still thought of him as a cat.
