  1. Oh they do -- awesome!!! I had searched it and didn't find anything; I must have misspelled Thank you!
  2. Trying to get someone in a better mood. It's working better some moments than others...
  3. I was fortunate; I was born into the body I most identified as. My pronouns are she/ her.
  4. She's still not over her fit of pique. I'm kind of over it though... patience!!! (sorry for the clickiness -- it won't load the gif, and I tried everything to upload but errored out)
  5. I decided to take an early-morning dip in the pool. Upon waking Ellie, she did NOT approve that I'd gone without her, and made her displeasure known via her best "Bride of Chucky" face.
  6. Ellie is appallingly happy that I've been home sick the past day and a half. I've been carting her around as if I were wearing her... which? Erm, yeah (And no, I don't think I have "it"... I'm just coughing up a storm, and who the heck knows? No one at work wants me there, and I'm not complaining. Much.)
  7. Heidhr, please do check out the Linden Homes forum; there is a specific thread that details how to get a Linden Home. I used the methods described therein and got a traditional and a trailer in the same 24-hour period; my husband got a Victorian during that same timespan. People formally abandon their Linden Homes all the time, for a variety of reasons. If you refresh the page (no more than... I think every 10 seconds? Or is it once a minute? anyway, Read. The. Thread.) you will eventually find a Victorian available and be able to claim it. Best of wishes to you! Editing to add the link to the specific thread I mentioned:
  8. Thank you! They're really fun 🙂 I understand not being into them; for me, though, I always had dolls when I was younger, and am one of "those" people who were irked they missed the American Girl craze (it is also highly possible I bought my own as an adult...), so having my cute little NPC inworld isn't a far stretch for me at all lol
  9. After the Great Internet Outage of 2020 (we lost our connection a couple of weeks ago, due to some backend borkage on Spectrum's part), I finally acquired enough points to get Ellie her rocking horse! Except... this thing? Is SO not a horse. But she appears to be having fun at least 🙂 Also, I can't believe how well I did on today's matchy-matchy attempt 😛
  10. As requested LOL Also, the TP throne is a freebie (you pay one linden and the owner repays it) at the entry at Dench Designs -- it's both hilarious and awesome
  11. Ah, the good old days, when we had so much toilet paper we would string it from the trees of our enemies...
  12. I decided to take Ellie to the Jian Zoo today. The reindeer were a particular favorite ALSO... making alphas freaking rocks. I love BoM.
  13. I haven't seen it, but I'm familiar with both the plot and the relevance to the term "gaslighting" Okay, ended up doing a clean install of Firestorm, per @Skell Dagger, and the problem is solved. Yay!!! Thanks everyone
  14. YUCK. Okay, sounds fun LOL. Wonder if I can get that managed in 20... nah, I'll wait until morning and let my inventory try to load up while I'm grocery shopping. Sigh. Thank you!
  15. I hadn't -- I don't use the LL viewer ever -- but since you mentioned it I checked it out on the LL Viewer and he appears normally on that (as well as on his own monitor; he's running the same version of Firestorm as I). So it's definitely my particular instance of Firestorm that's having issues.
  16. Hehehehehe, y'all! As an update, I've tried all of both @Skell Dagger's and @Nalates Urriah's suggestions to no avail. I've now posted this in the Answers section under "Avatar", with a link back to this thread, so hopefully some answers will be forthcoming. Thank you again for the fix suggestions as well as the giggles
  17. My husband's avatar textures are failing to appear as they should for me since he updated his Signature Gianni body. Viewer is Firestorm 6.3.2 (58052) Sep 27 2019 22:41:52 (64bit). The black and white above on his abdomen, chest, and neck should NOT be there. I've already posted about this here: https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/451086-my-husbands-body/ I tried the suggestions I was given on that thread: right-click and refresh textures, teleporting, clearing my texture cache... it's stayed the same. He's reapplied his body applier numerous times (this has been going on for days), to no avail on my end of the viewer. He sees himself as just fine, and I can verify it because his monitor is beside mine. How do I make Firestorm display his avatar correctly? Thank you for any assistance you are able to offer.
  18. He's tried this; I hope it doesn't come to clearing my cache, but if need be I will. I'll give the refresh texture and animation option a shot. And yes, it's on my end, not his. Everyone else sees him just fine. Shoot, before he updated his body *I* saw him just fine! It's just been since then that it's happened, and it's been going on for days. I kept hoping my viewer would catch up, but I need to work on it more. thanks, y'all
  19. Hey everyone My husband updated to the latest Signature Gianni version. He looks normal on his monitor, but this is what I get: I mean... how? Why? The black and white should NOT be there. And maybe I'm asking this in the wrong place, bug dang I'd like to see him looking "normal". Any ideas?
  20. Like @RaeLeeH, I posted this elsewhere, but it took place in Belli so here it shall also go I went biking this afternoon in Rockham, where our traditional is located, and I was so tickled to actually find my way home without teleporting! It's kind of neat to realize I've wandered those streets enough (both with Ellie and on my own) that I'm able to identify landmarks
  21. I went biking in Rockham this evening, in the neighborhood surrounding our traditional. I even made it back without teleporting! It was really cool to realize I've wandered the roads around our home enough to recognize landmarks
  22. Sitting, drinking coffee, staring at my computer... pretty much the same in SL as in RL. Also, the alpha texturing in my hair apparently hates my floor, or vice versa.
  23. THIS^^^^^^^^!!!!!!! I literally don't IM folks -- even those I'd like to talk to at times -- because I don't want to bother them, or I'm afraid I'm interrupting them, or whathaveyou. In fact, I'm far more likely to IM a friend when I know they're offline, because that way they can respond at their convenience rather than having to respond to my (assumed) intrusion into their Second Lives. Planned gatherings I do because, well... if folks are THERE, then they're probably up for socialization. Does that make any sense? I probably overthink this way too much...
